Amparito's mother, actress María Fernanda Ladrón de Guevara, was firmly against it. Only 5 days before the wedding Amparo decided not to go on. " I've followed my mother's advice and I won't be married so young", she declared. "Furthermore, Alfredo is such a handsome man that I would be always jealous beside him. He has been my first and only official boyfriend, but the wedding has been suspended five days before it takes place. And I don't regret it".
