Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan have joined the cast of Guy Ritchie’s Paramount+ series.

Previously developed as ‘The Donovans,’ a spin-off of the Showtime series ‘Ray Donovan,’ which starred Liev Schreiber, the series will now be a stand-alone project with no ties to the franchise.

The series will centre around two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch across the globe and the fiercely loyal ‘fixer’ charged with protecting one of them at all costs.

According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Krasinski has signed on to join The Americans and Perry Mason star Matthew Rhys in a new serial killer drama for Prime Video.

Both actors will also serve as executive producers on Silent River, which does not yet have a release date.

An American and an “American” are doing a two-hander. John Krasinski and Matthew Rhys are teaming up to executive-produce and star in “Silent River,” a serial killer thriller series for Prime Video, Deadline first reported.

“Silent River” is described as a drama that explores the cracks that break open in a small town in the wake of the discovery that a serial killer lives among them, told through the eyes of two men (Krasinski and Rhys) whose lives are far more connected than they realize. It’s created by “Jack Ryan” writer Aaron Rabin, who also serves as executive producer. Krasinski will direct the pilot and additional episodes, and veteran TV director Andrew Bernstein (“Ozark”) will direct and executive-produce. Allyson Seeger and Alexa Ginsburg will also executive-produce.

News of the series comes as Krasinki and Seeger’s company Sunday Night Productions re-ups its first look deal with Amazon MGM Studios.

Amazon Prime Video sure does love John Krasinski. Not only is he the star of the “Jack Ryan” TV series, it was just announced that he’s returning as that character for a feature film. But just because they got him for a “Jack Ryan” film, that doesn’t mean Prime Video is happy. No, sir. The studio has also signed him on for “Silent River.”

After a thrilling Season 2, “The Old Man” finally gets a chance to rest. The hit FX spy drama series, starring Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, will wrap up its second season this Thursday, Oct. 24 with the episode available to stream the following day, and everything is on the line after Chase (Bridges) has been taken captive, Zoe (Amy Brenneman) leads his rescue mission, and Harper (Lithgow) must fight his past.

The first trailer for Watchmen Chapter II has been released (via IGN) along with 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray cover art ahead of its debut on those platforms on November 26 and December 3, respectively. 

The second half of this animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' iconic graphic novel sees its "outlawed superheroes grapple with their personal lives and each other while racing the clock to solve a deepening mystery connected to an impending nuclear war between the United States and Russia."

Brandon Vietti produced and directed Watchmen Chapter II from an adaptation by J. Michael Straczynski. Jim Krieg and Cindy Rago serve as producers and Gibbons acts as consulting producer. Sam Register, Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin are executive producers.

Claire Danes (Homeland) may have turned down the role of Pamela Voorhees in Peacock’s upcoming Friday the 13th streaming series Crystal Lake, but back in March she did sign on to star in the mystery thriller limited series The Beast in Me for Netflix. The upcoming Netflix limited drama series “The Beast in Me” has added four new cast members, Variety has learned.

Brittany Snow, Natalie Morales, David Lyons, and Tim Guinee will all star in the show alongside previously announced leads Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys. The show was originally picked up to series at the streamer back in March.
