- James Reyne is an extremely popular musical artist in Australia, both as a top performing solo artist and as the brilliant front-man for the band Australian Crawl. Reyne was born in Lagos, Nigeria in the late 50s, and migrated to Australia in the early 60s. His musical career skyrocketed when he formed "Australian Crawl" in the 80s. "Australian Crawl" has sold well over 2 million albums world-wide and, after breaking up in 1986, Reyne pursued a successful solo career which is still in place. His brother, David Reyne, is a popular actor on Australian TV, and his son, J.R. Reyne acted in the long-running Australian drama Neighbours (1985). Jaime-Robbie recently left Neighbours (1985) to pursue a musical career and, if his talent is anything like his father's, he is guaranteed to be a success. Reyne's former manager, the legendary Glenn Wheatley, got Reyne his first acting job in the mini TV series Return to Eden (1983) and Reyne was extremely unhappy with his performance. This led Reyne to decline more movie roles in the future, though he accepted a brief role in the biographical Tina Turner movie. As a solo artist, he has sold over a million albums. In 1992, Reyne did a duet with James Blundell, "Way Out West', which made it to No. 1 in Australia. He recently performed with John Farnham, Kate Ceberano and Human Nature for John Farnham's 50th birthday concert and he still continues to perform as a solo artist.- IMDb Mini Biography By: James Briggs
