Nearly 30 years after The Simpsons joked about Cypress Hill accidentally booking the London Symphony Orchestra while high, the hip-hop group is making it a reality. The Los Angeles collective has announced they will be joined by the 71-piece orchestra for a concert this summer.
Taking place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on July 10th, the show will feature Cypress Hill performing some of their biggest hits like “Insane in the Brain” and “I Wanna Get High” over orchestral arrangements conducted by Lso’s Troy Miller. It shouldn’t be much of an adjustment for the group, which performed a handful of concerts with the San Diego Symphony last year.
A ticket pre-sale will begin on March 26th (register here) in advance of the general on-sale commencing on March 27th via the Royal Albert Hall website.

Trueno is honoring 50 years of hip-hop by working with rap legends Cypress Hill on a remixed version of the Argentine star’s “Fuck el Police,” which originally interpolated and sampled N.W.A.’s classic cop protest song “Fuck tha Police” 35 years later.
“Bringing Cypress Hill on for ‘Fuck el Police’ was so important for me, given the style of the song,” Trueno tells Rolling Stone. “Of course, it has a lot of history with N.W.A and ‘Fuck tha Police’… The flow of the song, for me it [felt] very much Cypress Hill,...

Soccer’s the common denominator here. The “intoxicating and infectious” energy of Los Angeles Football Club brought System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian and Cypress Hill’s B-Real to link up for a “banger” produced by DJ Flict. Rolling Stone premieres the video for “Reppin’ the City,” the amped-up soundtrack for the L.A. team’s playoff run.
“It all starts with the will to win/Settle in/We on a quest to be Champion/Let’s begin,” B-Real raps over an Edm-meets-hard rock beat as he incorporates the Spanish...

Chicago – We’re heading into that time of year when people buy gifts for loved ones of things they already have. Sorta. As we get closer to the holidays, catalog titles get the upgrade with new transfers and special features to make the fact that you already own your favorite movie on a now-useless DVD easier to bear. HD catalog additions this year include “Star Wars,” “Ben-Hur,” “The Lion King,” “Jurassic Park,” “West Side Story,” and much more. But the first is arguably the greatest with a stellar Universal release of the wildly-influential, controversial, and infamous “Scarface.”
Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0
The first question I usually ask when a catalog title hits my shelf on Blu-ray is a simple one — How has the movie itself held up? It’s always about the actual movie. We talk about HD quality and special features, but most people buy Blu-rays for the actual movie itself.
