We've been talking about Chris Colfer's debut film Struck By Lightning for over a year, from our delight at learning Chris would write and star, through its initial premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last April. "Tanner Hall", the 2009 indie drama from Anchor Bay Films, is now available on Blu-ray and DVD, following four teen girls 'coming-of-age' in a boarding school, written and directed by Tatiana von Fürstenberg and Francesca Gregorini. The film was developed by von Fürstenberg and Gregorini while they attended Brown University, after both women realized they had both attended boarding schools as children.

Sarah Paulson, last seen on Desperate Housewives back in 2007, is returning to Wisteria Lane in her role as Lynette's loser sister, Lydia. But oh how things have changed. "Lynette always helped put the pieces back in Lydia's disastrous personal life, but she is now engaged and shows up with her new fiancé," previews executive producer Bob Daily. With Lynette newly separated from Tom, Lydia is now the one offering a shoulder to cry on. "We'll hear her say, 'Oh Lynette, I'm so sorry. What can I do to help?' The seeds of sibling rivalry are planted as the roles are reversed." TV fans may also remember Sarah from such series as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Deadwood.

The truth is, show creator Marc Cherry – who is openly gay – has mostly underused his gay characters since the early stages of season three. Bree (Marcia Cross) and Chuck (Jonathan cake) have been running together and she suggests a shower, so she doesn't have time for coffee with Susan when she pops round. Chuck is close...

Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) "When Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) decided to stop drinking, her recipe for success was the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. She admitted she was powerless over alcohol...she made a list of all the people she had harmed; so when her son, Andrew, had decided to stop drinking...to follow those steps as successfully as she had." Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) has been 30 days sober and has a keychain to show this. Number 8 on the steps is the list of people they have harmed and on top of that list is Carlos (Richardo Antonio Chavira). Bree says it's hard but he should give it a go, she thinks Andrew is referring to her, but she's number 7 on the list. Mary Alice: "Bree was diligent about following the 12 steps, but even she could recognize a step too far." Mary Alice: "We teach our children...

Mary Alice: (Brenda Strong) "We can never know the moment our lives are about to change forever...enjoying a glass of wine, tending to our aches and pains and then when we least expect it, the moment comes." Paul (Mark Moses) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) each receive calls at the same time, but each with completely different news. Paul learns of Beth's (Emily Bergl) death and Susan learns she has a kidney donated by Beth; who is still on life support. Mary Alice: "There are moments that change our lives forever, but not always in the way we might expect it." Mary Alice; "The women of Wisteria Lane look for any excuse to celebrate...a bottle of champagne...a new dress for turning 39 again...so when my friends heard about Susan's good fortune, they just couldn't resist." Gaby (Eva Longoria) shouts out, "Congratulations...kidney" to Susan in the hospital.

ABC Studios is coming out with a slew of television DVD releases once fall approaches, and the pack of offerings run the complete gamut of reaction possibilities. From your favorite shows, to television's biggest "oh my God, that's still on" titles, to "Woops, there goes that show," it's all coming for your viewing and owning pleasure.

Of course, all of these shows have their fans, and ABC has put together nice packages on their previous releases, and these are no different.

Whether you love or hate the shows, they are at least upping the game a bit on DVD release bonus features. I suppose it's becoming mandatory as audiences demand it, and DVD sales (apparently) are slipping in general, but I find that TV shows feel like they are lacking without them even more than films. Something about the long-term investment, fan status, and apparent ease of creation, I suppose.

Lynette finally got to do Lynette on the April 17 episode — but will her new lifestyle end her marriage?

The April 17 episode of Desperate Housewives was all about big reveals: Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) revealed to Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) that he ran over his mom and killer her; Felicia (Harriet Harris) revealed her intent to destroy Paul Young (Mark Moses); and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) revealed the biggest surprised of all — she’s actually kind of hot!

But Lynette’s sexy mom makeover came at a price… her trusty dog-slash-husband, Tom (Doug Savant.) His big-time job may be making him big-time money — he gave Lynette $10,000 to splurge on herself — but it’s also keeping him away from home for days at a time. And the worst part is, he loves it. (Dear Marc Cherry, will this woman ever be happy?)

Meanwhile, in the deep woods, Bree (Marcia Cross) and Gabby (Eva Longoria) kind...

A professional asset seizer, Tom Connor (Patrick Kilpatrick) is arrested by airport security before he can fly off with the plane, belonging to Howard Burgess (Nicholas Guest). One of the security men notices a smell from inside the plane and finds a Db in the toilet. Tripp (Rex Linn) admits to Horatio he also lost money from his investment. Horatio (David Caruso) asks if they were trying to "break him out or set him up for murder." Horatio gets his one-liners back, but not as good as the ones before. Jesse (Eddie Cibrian) has to get him out of the toilet, but he plays 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' with Ryan (Jonathan Togo). Ryan tells Jesse to "have fun with the potty party." Jesse comments he wouldn't want to get his sweater vest dirty! Walter (Omar Benson Miller) is roped in to do the dirty deed instead, as Jesse puts it, "the Miami way.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens announced their split in December, but judging by their night out in Hollywood on Friday, they're as cozy as ever. The pair arrived at Shg's Eden, a new see-and-be-seen nightclub, with pal Brittany Snow , but as the evening progressed, they only had eyes for each other. A source tells TooFab of their arrival at the club, "Zac was dressed casually in a red flannel shirt and jeans and Vanessa was in a tight grey tube dress. They arrived with Brittany Snow, also in a tight tube dress." But after the trio arrived, Efron, 23, and Hudgens, 22, "were inseparable throughout the night, dancing, drinking Belvedere vodka and canoodling." In fact, adds the source, "Vanessa only broke from Zac's side to dance with Brittany on the couches at their table. " And "Desperate Housewives" star Shawn Pyfrom also partied with the group. Also at the club, which was lit...

In last episode's crazy riot, a few of our main characters were hurt pretty badly. But, it seems the "Desperate Housewives" producers have moved on from the incident to the last big event before the winter hiatus: Paul Young's (Mark Moses) shooting.

Otherwise, the producers have finally given Susan (Teri Hatcher) a storyline other than "Oops, did I do that?" After being trampled in the riot, she lost her one good kidney. The other one isn't working too well and until she can get a transplant, she'll be on dialysis. 

Even more interesting is Gaby's (Eva Longoria) descent into crazy as Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) forces her to let go of all things "Grace," so that Juanita (Madison De La Garza) gets over her displacement issues. We cannot wait to see how far off the deep end Gaby goes. The "Grace" doll has to be the start of something craptastic.

In the Season 7 premiere of 'Desperate Housewives,' we met a few new characters. Vanessa Williams and Brian Austin Green made their debut as Renee and Keith, respectively. And Mark Moses returned to The Lane to reprise his role as Paul Young.

We also got answers to some of Season 6's finale cliffhangers. We found out that Juanita (Madison de La Garza) was switched at birth and Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) is keeping it from Gaby. Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) is keeping her own secret from Carlos, since Bree (Marcia Cross) admitted that her son, Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom), was the person who hit Carlos' mother with his car. 

Meanwhile, Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Mike (James Denton) are still having money problems and she decided to take up an interesting new job: Cleaning her home in her lingerie for a web voyeur site!

In Sunday's Oct. 3 episode, Paul introduces his new wife,...

There are several large changes on the block when we touch down in the new season of "Desperate Housewives" and a few others that begin to rear their ugly heads. 

Without revealing anything too spoilery, here's what to expect from the premiere airing Sunday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. Et on ABC. 

If you've never watched the show or you fell off of the series for any number of reasons and you're coming back to reunite with Paul (Mark Moses) or check out new housewife Vanessa Williams or leer at Brian Austin Green, have no worries. The episode gives a handy little review of where we left off last season and recaps Paul's back-story up to the present time.

For those who have stuck by the show all this time, expect several cliffhangers in the Season 6 finale to be resolved right away.

A couple of weeks ago I proposed a TV series based on the James Bond character. That got me thinking about other movie franchises that might make for good TV shows. There have been a lot of TV shows and miniseries based on movie franchises, including 'Sherlock Holmes,' 'Planet of the Apes,' 'Terminator,' and even 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' if you want to include animated shows. Here are four movie franchises that haven't been TV shows yet but I think they really could be.

1. 'The Bourne Identity.' Of course, 'The Bourne Identity' was a TV miniseries before it was a hit film series, but that was a while ago. I can picture a series based on the Jason Bourne character, especially with the success of shows like '24.' It could...

Highlights? Well, not quite. John Barrowman was on for a total of 2 minutes, 12 seconds.

Before that we had to endure the long, agonizing ordeal known as the "Chocolate War" between Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) and the insufferable Susan (Teri Hatcher, who still plays every scene as if she's being poked with a cattle prod).

The ladies duke it out to see which of their kids can sell the most chocolate bars, so we get the inevitable scenes of Gabby in a low-cut dress at a construction site ... and Susan pretending her son is a paraplegic. Seriously, what is this woman's problem?

... before turning the gun on herself.

Of course it never occurs to either woman that it would make things a hell of a lot easier to just buy the damn chocolate themselves, but if that happened, it would deprive us of the "life lesson" that's learned, in which both...

Actor Shawn Pyfrom was involved in a car accident with a cyclist on Tuesday afternoon, which has left the unnamed man in hospital.

The Desperate Housewives star, 23, was driving in California's San Fernando Valley when his car collided with an elderly man riding a bike.

A spokesperson for the actor tells TMZ.com the cyclist was going the wrong way and made a sudden turn into Pyfrom's car.

The man was reportedly driven to a local hospital by paramedics, although his condition was unknown as WENN went to press.

No one was cited for the accident.
