Mariella Petrescu(1943-2015)

Mariella Petrescu was born as Marinela Petrescu in Bobaita, Turnu-Severin.
She finished a four year study of Acting at the famous, internationally recognized Romanian Institute for Theater and Movie "Ion Luca Caragiale" (IATC) in Bucharest, nowadays the National University for Theatre and Movie Ion Luca Caragiale" (UNATC) of the country, which she finished in 1964 at prof. Jules Cazaban's class, together with her colleague, Dan Necsulea, whom she married.
Being distributed to the "Theatre for Youth" in Piatra Neamt, she played there only for one year, returning as soon as possible to Bucharest, where she was employed by the "Bulandra" Theater, while her husband had managed to work as an artistic director for the Romanian Television.
Her debut in Film was made in 1968 with a Part in "The Saturday Evening Dancing" by Geo Saizescu, who took her also to play a Role in "This Evening we dance in the Family" in 1972 and "Pacala" in 1973.
Et the end of the '70ies, she got divorced and emigrated to the USA, where she married for a second time, concentrating on a good life.
She died on 11 November 2015 in Philadelphia.
