Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man showcased the struggles of Peter Parker, highlighting the difficulties he faced in his personal life as well as his journey to becoming a superhero. The moments of forgiveness and emotional power in Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy, such as Peter forgiving Sandman and mourning Uncle Ben with Aunt May, are some of the most heartfelt and moving scenes in any Spider-Man film. Maguire's Spider-Man had some fantastic displays of his superhero powers, from catching Mary Jane in the lunchroom to saving Mj and the cable car, creating unforgettable and intense rescue scenes.
Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man has had many unforgettable moments that no other Spider-Man film has outdone. Maguire became the first big-screen Wall-Crawler with Sam Raimi's 2002 movie Spider-Man, and though his tenure seemingly ended after Spider-Man 3, Maguire returned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 2021 mega-hit Spider-Man: No Way Home, teaming him up with Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland's Spideys.

Michael Papajohn could be the first actor to play a multiverse variant of himself in the MCU, as he appeared as different characters in both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. Spider-Man: No Way Home brought the previous Spider-Man iterations into the MCU canon as variants of each other. In turn, it might suggest that Papajohn's seemingly unrelated characters were variants of each other.
Papajohn previously played Dennis Carradine, Uncle Ben's supposed killer, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man superhero trilogy. He reappeared as Alfred, the limo driver for Oscorp exec Rajit Ratha, in The Amazing Spider-Man. The McU's Multiverse Saga has opened up unlimited possibilities for crossovers between characters, so it is not far-fetched that the characters can be variants of each other. It was a fun callback and put Michael Papajohn in rarified air among actors to appear in different Marvel films as separate characters.

Just a few days ago, production started on the highly-anticipated horror sequel Jeepers Creepers 3, which was previously known as Cathedral. The actually title has yet to be confirmed. There had been rumors that Gina Phillips, who starred in the first Jeepers Creepers as Trish Jenner, was returning, and that Ray Wise will reprise his role as Jack Taggert Sr. Today the full cast list has surfaced, confirming Gina Phillips' return, along with the franchise debut of genre legend Adrienne Barbeau.
Cinema Runner got a hold of the cast list, which reveals that Adrienne Barbeau is playing a character named Gaylen Brandon, although no details for her role were given. Gina Phillips is also coming back, along with the previously-confirmed Jonathan Breck as The Creeper himself. But this cast list doesn't include Ray Wise, so he's likely not coming back, unless it's in a surprise cameo.

To find truly original stories at the local cineplex, we've had to rely on independent film the past two decades, as Hollywood seems intend on force feeding the masses remakes, sequels and superhero movies. One person who thinks there are far too many Marvel and DC adventures flooding the market at this current time is Nightcrawler director Dan Gilroy. Speaking out against masked vigilantes and their vice grip on Hollywood, the Nightcrawler director used his win for 'Best First Feature' at the 30th Annual Independent Spirit Awards to rally his filmmaking troops and thank the independent directors weathering the storm. From his podium, he screamed:
"Independent film, the foundation and everybody here today, I think are holdouts against a tsunami of superhero movies that have swept over this industry. We have survived and we have thrived and I think that's true spirit."

Nightcrawler - Universal Studios - Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD Director: Dan Gilroy Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Bill Paxton, Riz Ahmed,Michael Papajohn. Full cast + crew 2014 had a ton of great movies left and right, but there's one that may arguably stand the test of time better than most: Dan Gilroy's directorial debut, Nightcrawler. Jake Gyllenhaal is both haunting and deeply, darkly funny as an ethically challenged entrepreneur chasing his own demented version of the American dream. The supporting cast, particularly Riz Ahmed and Rene Russo, are wonderfully full, fleshed-out characters who get caught up in the whirlwind Gyllenhaal creates. And this twisted portrait of our relationship with macabre media forms an intense...

Chicago – “No one talks like that,” I kept thinking to myself about this noir thriller. But that said, “Nightcrawler” is driven by just about the most entertaining dialogue from one person I’ve seen all year.
Rating: 4.0/5.0
Despite the fact that he’s living in a warped alternate version of the reality you and I know, you can’t stop listening to the way a narcissistic, zombie-like Jake Gyllenhaal puts people in their place. You know immediately that this typically 180-pound man – who shed 20 pounds to become the gaunt Lou Bloom and is hungry both literally and figuratively – is more than an odd bird. He clearly exhibits sociopathic behavior and that side of him is certainly disturbing, but there’s another side I actually find refreshing.
He doesn’t sugar coat because he doesn’t know how to. He speaks so decisively and matter-of-factly. His words are the epitome of being blunt,...

"The Amazing Spider-Man," as you know, is a complete reboot of the Spider-Man story, featuring an entirely different cast than the Sam Raimi series of films. Well, actually, that's not exactly true. There is one actor (not counting the Stan Lee cameos) who was in both Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" and Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man": Michael Papajohn.
In "Spider-Man," Papajohn played the thief who killed Uncle Ben after a carjacking gone wrong. (This plot point was later retroactively changed in "Spider-Man 3.") Later, Peter Parker unleashed his vengeance against Papajohn's carjacker, which created the personality of Raimi's "Spider-Man." In "The Amazing Spider-Man," Papajohn plays a limo driver who unfortunately winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time as The Lizard unleashes an attack on the Williamsburg Bridge.
Here, PapaJohn compares and contrasts what it was like to work on both Spider-Man films -- as well...

The Bourne Legacy Trailer. Tony Gilroy‘s The Bourne Legacy (2012) teaser trailer stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, and Joan Allen. The Bourne Legacy‘s plot synopsis: “A story centered on a new CIA operative in the universe based on Robert Ludlum’s novels.”
I have only seen the first The Bourne Identity film and the superior TV movie. This teaser trailer is very good and will remind the viewer of Casino Royale‘s beginning.
About this incarnation of The Bourne Legacy:
This screenplay, while not based on any specific Robert Ludlum novel, was rewritten until its current form, credited to Tony Gilroy and his brother Dan Gilroy.
The Bourne Legacy also stars Albert Finney, Scott Glenn, David Strathairn, Corey Stoll, Stacy Keach, Sheena Colette, Michael Papajohn, Michael Chernus, Nilaja Sun, and Eli Harris.

A host of surfing stars will gather in Santa Monica tomorrow, July 30, to teach youngsters with Cystic Fibrosis how to surf.
Along with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the Mauli Ola Foundation presents its Cystic Fibrosis Surf Experience Day to get children and young adults with cystic fibrosis out in the ocean water to have a great time. The ocean air, which is an elevated saline environment, facilitates the breakdown of mucus in patients’ lungs when inhaled.
Taking part in the event are Michael Papajohn (Spiderman, Thor), Kalani Robb (Surfer), Kala Alexander (Surfer), Teddy Navarro (Surfer), Brian “T-City” Ortega (Surfer), Josh Baxter (Surfer), Sunny Garcia (Surfer), Hans Hagen (Surfer), Shawn Ward (Surfer) and other surprise guests.

Back when Sam Raimi was set to direct the fourth "Spider-Man" installment, it was revealed that Michael Papajohn was set to reprise his role, after appearing as carjacker/Uncle Ben's killer in both "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 3." Eventually, Raimi dropped out and Sony decided to reboot the franchise. But just yesterday, Papajohn updated his Twitter account, stating: "Just RSVP for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' wrap party at The Roosevelt Hotel. Should be a good one." This is a bit surprising, since this would make him the only actor to return from the original cast. Cbm decided to reach out to him and find out if he'll actually be in "The Amazing Spider-Man." Papajohn replied: "I cant even confirm or deny if I worked on the film!"...

Michael Papajohn is a famous actor/stuntman from dozens of hit films and CBMs like Spawn, Hulk, Jonah Hex (and who recently appeared in Thor). However, he is most known for his role as The Burglar/Dennis Carradine, the man responsible for the murder of Uncle Ben, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3. Mr. Papajohn and myself follow each other on Twitter. On August 17 last year, I (under my former username of Art1991) asked him if given the opportunity, would he appear in the (then unnamed) Spider-Man reboot. He replied: Last night, this status appeared on his Twitter feed: Intrigued at this, I asked if we could expect a return of Dennis Carradine? He wrote back: This is enormously interesting if Papajohn indeed was working on The Amazing Spider-Man, making him the only person outside of Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad to be involved after the first three films.

Some bloggers have been hoping to see or hear Michael Clarke Duncan step into the role of Kilowog in "Green Lantern" for a long time now. He's reportedly down now, however—and there was much rejoicing.
In other celebratory posts, Kieron Gillen reluctantly praised Hugh Grant—I'm assuming because he's in the news for reverse snooping on the press. "Game of Thrones," meanwhile, remains a much less controversial topic. Everyone's stokes about that. Check out what Jonathan Hickman won't let come between him and the new HBO show and how Brian Lynch would handle a "Scream 4"-style situation after the jump.

I don't care how good this year's Doctor Who Christmas episode is, I'd trade it in a heartbeat for the Batman and Planetary crossovers that Paul Cornell and Neil Gaiman were discussing last night over Twitter. Tony Lee also contributed some thoughts, and if you approve, I would definitely encourage you to start writing DC and the BBC.

Both "Shutter Island" the movie by Martin Scorsese and "Shutter Island" the novel by Dennis Lehane got some positive micro-reviews in today's Twitter Report, and the opinions came from comics names I trust, too — namely Jhonen Vasquez and Kazu Kibuishi. I tried to find something from someone who'd read "Shutter Island" the graphic novel, but the trifecta went uncompleted.

"Twilight" watchers now have their pitch for which contestant to support in the "American Idol" finals. Apparently Didi Benami and actress Rachelle LeFevre go way back. ...while I was walking around with my uncle we suddenly ran into Michael Papajohn. I wouldn't have noticed him except for the pictures he had all over his signing desk ... I asked him about Spider Man 4 because of the rumor I read that he was going to be in it. He said "I can't talk about it, but who says I died in the first one?" My uncle asked him again and he quipped "if I tell you I'll have to shoot you." Jokingly, of course.

It's a slow news day so I thought I'd write about one of the rumors that hit over the weekend that we didn't write about. A scooper wrote in to ComingSoon claiming that actor Michael Papajohn revealed during a Wizard World Philadelphia Q&A that he would be reprising his role as the original carjacker who killed Uncle Ben in Spider-Man 4. If true, this leaves a few possibilities: He could return to film a flashback sequence that would reveal more about Uncle Ben's death, or somehow reveal that Flint Marko wasn't actually the killer. Anyone who has seen the first Spider-Man film knows that Peter Parker chases him into a warehouse, where the killer trips and falls from a window to his death. Could he still somehow be alive? Last we heard, Sam Raimi was still waiting for David Lindsay-Abaire to finish the script, and usually supporting roles aren't...

For the three of you that haven't seen Sam Raimi's Spider-Man flicks, I know you're probably wondering who would want to kill a sweet old, rice company mascot. For the rest of you, you're probably wondering the infinitely more troubling conundrum of how the hell they are going to bring back the original killer back into Spider-Man 4 after muddling the story up in Spider-Man 3. SuperHeroHype is reporting that Michael Papajohn, the actor who played the thug who kills Uncle Ben (at least until we find out that it's Flint Marko that really kills Ben?), spoke at Wizard World Philadelphia and said that his character would be returning for the next film. There's obviously a few possibilities: He's coming back to shoot more flashback sequences that will further illuminate his and Marko's role in Ben's death He's coming back to reveal that Flint Marko wasn't actually the killer (aka to restore the original storyline) He's...

First he killed Uncle Ben, then it turned out that he didn’t really pull the trigger. So when kinda-maybe-sorta killer Dennis Carradine shows up in “Spider-Man 4,” what kind of role will he have?
That’s the question that has the ‘net buzzing based on actor Michael Papajohn’s recent comments that he’ll be returning for the “Spider-Man” franchise’s fourth installment.
According to an anonymous SuperHeroHype tipster, Papajohn said during a Wizard World Philadelphia panel this weekend that his burglar character will resurface yet again.
When asked how his would-be Uncle Ben murdering character would factor into the fourth film, the actor was tight-lipped. The tipster’s report states that Papajohn said “if he told us what his role entailed, he’d have to kill us.”
It’s hard to imagine what new layers could be peeled back on the man who inspired Spider-Man’s war on crime.

It's not quite the announcement fans were waiting for, but actor Michael Papajohn, who played the criminal with a fatal need for Uncle Ben's car in Spider-Man, announced at a Philadelphia comic book convention that he will be reprising his role in Spider-Man 4. Papajohn gave no other information, saying that he could not reveal what his role entailed or he would have to kill everyone in the audience.
Fans are still anxiously waiting to find out who the villains will be in Spider-Man 4, so Papajohn's news will have to suffice in the meantime. Director Sam Raimi has said that Sony will reveal the villains when they receive the script from screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire at the end of the summer.

Spider-Man 4 has started casting. sort of. Michael Papajohn is on board! Please, hold your applause. So who is Michael Papajohn and does he have any connection with the pizza franchise? Pizza: not as far as we know. Instead he.s the guy who killed Uncle Ben and was subsequently (albeit accidentally) killed by Spider-Man in the first film. Superhero Hype has learned that he.ll be back, though in what capacity he.s not saying. It.s not as if he needs to say. I think it.s pretty obvious. Whatever they.re doing for the fourth movie it.ll probably involve some sort of new flashback which they.ll need him for. Not exactly significant news but at least we know that Peter Parker is still all hung up on the past.

SuperheroHype is reporting that while actor Michael Papajohn answered questions at the Wizard Word Philadelphia, he revealed that he will be appearing in Spider-Man 4.
What director Sam Raimi has planned for him isn't yet known, however. Might he return in flashbacks or could he portray another supervillain? Papajohn explained to the audience that if he told them precisely what his role entailed, he would have to kill them.
Papajohn appeared in both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 as a carjacker and the original killer of Peter Parker's Uncle Ben.
The script for Spider-Man 4 is finished, so expect more info to leak out in the ensuing weeks.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2011.
