Gunther Palmer

Gunther Palmer was born in New York, New York. He is the twin brother
of actress Penelope Palmer, who co-starred with Klaus Kinski in Le
Femme Enfant, and the son of Ciao! Manhattan co-producer/co-director
John Palmer and former Vogue and Elle cover girl and Warhol starlet,
Ivy Nicholson. When the twins were born, their mother was active at the
Factory and Gunther was filmed as an infant for some of the Warhol
films. Gunther moved to Paris, France at age two with his mother, twin
sister, and an older brother Sean Bolger. In addition to appearing in
the French soap opera, Gunther sang for a rock band called Mandrake,
and worked as a child/teen model while in Paris. Gunther began to show
signs of schizophrenia in his late teens, and that ended his acting
career, but he continued to pursue a career in music. In 1985, Gunther
moved to San Francisco with his mother and twin sister, where they
played local clubs with his mother's band. Gunther currently plays
drums and sings in the band Stagefright, and was the subject of a 2001
documentary called "Sweetest Compassion - The Gunther Palmer Story". He
has another older brother, the Viscount Darius DePoleon, living in
France, and a daughter Edween born in 1989.
