Eric Moynier, ASC is a Director of Photography whose credits include popular television shows, feature films, commercials, music videos and acclaimed VR projects. His television work includes two seasons of THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (Amazon Studios), BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO), THE BLACKLIST (Sony Studios/NBC Universal), THE GOOD COP (Netflix), Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING (Amazon), MANHUNT (Discovery), HIT AND RUN (Netflix), and LITTLE AMERICA (Apple TV+). Eric recently completed shooting JULIA, a new series for HBO Max, KALEIDOSCOPE (Netflix), and I'M A VIRGO, a new series for Amazon from director Boots Riley.
He has shot two award-winning VR projects with Felix & Paul Studios: the Peabody-winning MIYUBI and the SXSW-winning LE CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: DREAMS OF 'O'.
Prior to becoming a Director of Photography, Eric was a camera operator on feature films such as REMEMBER ME, starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Allen Coulter, WIN WIN starring Paul Giamatti, LETTERS TO JULIET starring Amanda Seyfried, FADING GIGOLO starring John Turturro, HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE, Christopher Guest's WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, and on television series such as Alfonso Cuarón's BELIEVE, and four seasons of HBO's BOARDWALK EMPIRE.
Eric has been taking images since he was a child. At a young age his father, a photojournalist and fashion photographer in Paris and Montreal, taught him how to use a camera and Eric began taking photos and working in the darkroom of his father's photo agency.
He started his film career in Montreal in the late 1980s. By the early 1990's he was working with The Learning Channel and Discovery Channel, shooting documentaries that took him to four continents: Asia, South and Central America, Africa and Europe. Later he began to shoot music videos and commercials. He has shot commercials for clients such as AT&T, McDonald's, Kmart, Ericsson, Bud Light, Burger King and Molson.
