Vin Diesel stepped in to take care of 4 kids when their father -- one of Vin's longtime friends -- got busted for a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend. Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Vin's pal, Valentino Morales, was arrested last week after allegedly pushing his girlfriend and hitting her in the face. Morales says his daughter immediately called Uncle Vin for help. We're told he stayed with the kids while Morales was taken into custody.

Vin Diesel has been working on a web series, called "The Ropes," which gives an inside look into the explosive world of nightclub security. The series is written, produced and directed by Diesel, and today we have a trailer for it. Check out the trailer below. Now rather than just read about it, you can check it out for yourself. We've got a new trailer for The Ropes, which is written, directed and produced by Diesel. But you can also start watching the episodes right now if you have a Netflix account. The series follows a group of burly gatekeepers as they make sure only the top-most talent gets in the club while keeping the riff raff out. Vin Diesel has filmed a love story about his adopted Dominican Republic for the DVD release of his new blockbuster hit Fast Five.
The actor's 20-minute The Fast & The Furious prequel was shot in the Dominican Republic and features many of the friends he has made there since his first trip in 1995.
The film, called Los Bandoleros, features Latino reggaeton heroes Don Omar and Tego Calderone, who appear in Fast Five.
Diesel is also hoping to give the bouncer friend who introduced him to the delights of the Dominican Republic a big career boost in a new series of Internet dramas, titled The Ropes.
Valentino Morales, who appears in most of his friend's films, will star in the webisodes, which recount the pair's days as nightclub security men in New York.
Diesel has written and will direct each segment.
