More than 40 years ago, Cristina began her career as an actress and since then she specialized in roles related to Violence against Women. This important topic "To Combat Violence against Women" inspired her to make an amazing documentary "Juarez Desierto de Esperanza" and the monologue "Las Mujeres de Ciudad Juárez".
She has participated in more than 40 Tv and Film projects. To mention a few; we can't forget her amazing leading roles of movies like "De la Calle", "El Tigre de Santa Julia" and the Tv-Series like "Mujeres Asesinas". You may have seen her in the film "La Novia del Mar", next to the Brazilian actress Sonia Braga and under the direction of José Bojorquez.
Nominated 3 times to the Ariel Award of the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas as Best Actress for the films "Sin Dejar Huella", "De Ida Vuelta" and "De La Calle"; winning an Ariel as Best Actress for her participation in the movie "De La Calle" directed by Gerardo Tort.
Nowadays, we can see her in the famous Netflix Tv-Series "El Chapo" performing the co-leading role of Chapo's mother; in the new Netflix Tv-Series "El Ultimo Dragon" and in the TV-Series "Cuna de Lobos" directed by Erick Morales for Televisa Productions, also performing in "Imperio de Mentiras", and for HBO "Bunker".
