Mitchell Robertson, Stuart Campbell, Neve McIntosh and Marianne McIvor have joined the cast for the HBO and BBC drama Half Man, formerly titled Lions, from Richard Gadd.

They were added after Baby Reindeer creator and star Gadd and Jamie Bell were earlier announced as leads for Half Man, which which will run on HBO in the United States, and the BBC in the U.K. and Ireland. The series, which Gadd is also writing and executive producing, marks his first project since Baby Reindeer became a Netflix breakout and multiple Emmy winner.

Half Man follows estranged brothers Niall (Bell) and Ruben (Gadd), whose presence at a wedding leads to an explosion of violence that catapults the audience back over four decades from their first meeting as teenagers to their falling out as adults. Richard Gadd’s BBC and HBO drama Half Man has rounded out its cast.

Mitchell Robertson, Stuart Campbell, Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIvor, Charlie De Melo, Bilal Hasna, Julie Cullen, Philippine Velge, Stuart McQuarrie, Amy Manson, Piers Ewart, Scot Greenan, Charlotte Blackwood and Calum Manchip have all boarded the series.

The show is a six-parter in which Baby Reindeer creator Gadd stars opposite Jamie Bell (All of Us Strangers). They play estranged ‘brothers’ Ruben and Niall over an almost 40-year period, covering the highs and lows of their relationship.

Per the synopsis: “When Ruben shows up unexpectedly at Niall’s wedding, it leads to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives.”

Robertson and Campbell will play Niall (Robertson) and Ruben (Campbell) in their younger years.

With the release of Still Wakes the Deep less than a month away, developer The Chinese Room and publisher Secret Mode have revealed the voice cast for the game in a new mini documentary. The cast includes Alec Newman (Cyberpunk 2077), who will be voicing the main protagonist, Cameron “Caz” McLeary, and Neve McIntosh as Suze, Caz’s wife.

“The thing was so well written, and so well-conceived, that I don’t recall having very long conversations about what Caz should sound like,” says Newman, discussing what struck him about Still Wakes the Deep. “With this, you can feel the writing, you can feel the characters.”

With a number of other familiar faces returning to the fold, Doctor Who season 15's directors line-up confirms celebrated Matt Smith-era director Peter Hoar is joining Ncuti Gatwa's second season. As filming for “Grantchester” Season 9 is officially underway, star Tom Brittney has revealed that it will be his last. The actor, who has portrayed Reverend Will Davenport since 2019, will exit the PBS and ITV series to focus on new projects.

“I’ve had the most incredible time playing Will Davenport for the last five years. I got to solve crimes with my best friend, and work with the best cast and crew I could ever ask for,” Brittney said in a statement. “I’ll miss it more than anything. Masterpiece on PBS will launch seven new episodes of All Creatures Great and Small in early 2024.

Based on the collection of stories by best-selling author James Herriot, the adaptation will return to Yorkshire Dales for the fourth season. It picks up in 1940 as Winston Churchill takes office and Europe is under serious threat.

Season 4 sees Nicholas Ralph reprise his role as young country vet James Herriot, now married to Helen, played by Rachel Shenton (White Gold). Samuel West (Slow Horses) returns as James’ mentor Siegfried Farnon while Anna Madeley (Time) continues as Mrs. Hall, matriarch of Skeldale House. Patricia Hodge (A Very English Scandal) also reprises her role as the eccentric Mrs. Pumphrey, and Derek as her pampered Pekingese Tricki.

All Creatures is currently filming in Yorkshire.

Neve McIntosh (Shetland) joins the cast as the highly efficient bookkeeper Miss Harbottle, alongside James Anthony-Rose (Slow Horses) as the studious undergraduate vet student Richard Carmody.

Neve McIntosh (“Shetland”) and James Anthony-Rose are joining the seven-episode fourth season of Masterpiece on PBS’ “All Creatures Great and Small.”

The drama, based on a collection of stories by best-selling author James Herriot that have sold 60 million copies internationally, is currently filming on location in Yorkshire and will air on the network in early 2024 and Channel 5 in the UK this fall.

Season 4 will return to Yorkshire Dales, picking up in 1940 as Churchill takes office and Europe is under serious threat. With Tristan away serving in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) and James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) bring in some extra hands to help around the practice.

McIntosh will play the highly efficient bookkeeper Miss Harbottle, while Anthony-Rose will play undergraduate vet student Richard Carmody who arrives at Skeldale as part of his placement under the guidance of James.

Russell T Davies' new era allows for Doctor Who to embrace the format of an animated series, fulfilling the promise of a pitch from the 1980s. Over the weekend, housebound Whovians lifted their spirits by holding a global rewatch of Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary special “The Day of the Doctor.” Stars of the show – such as Osgood actress Ingrid Oliver – even got involved, live-tweeting their reactions. Best of all, though, was the arrival of a brand new introduction to the episode, starring (the voice of) Dan Starkey and written by ex-showrunner Steven Moffat.

The rewatch occurred at 7Pm U.K. time this past Saturday, so Starkey dropped the special intro on his Twitter account shortly before it was time to hit play. The hilarious skit sees the actor reprise his beloved character Strax with the help of a pint-sized stuffed toy. Moffat clearly had fun getting topical, too, with the script making references to the most recent season of the series.

Before Hellraiser came The Hellbound Heart, Clive Barker’s horror novella that ultimately laid the foundations for Pinhead and his army of Cenobites.

Initially released in 1986, the spine-chilling yarn was actually the third installment in the Night Visions anthology series, and it wasn’t until the following year that Barker and Doug Bradley (Pinhead) began formulating an idea for a live-action adaptation. And with that, Hellraiser was born.

But in light of Judgment‘s release, Bafflegab Productions has announced plans to circle back to the very beginning and release an audio drama adaptation of The Hellbound Heart. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, it’ll hit store shelves on April 27th, and feature the voices of Alice Lowe (Prevenge), Tom Meeten, and Neve McIntosh of Doctor Who fame. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

The Doctor has a new companion… and she is openly gay. Actress Pearl Mackie just revealed that her character, Bill Potts, will be the first openly gay companion in the long-running BBC sci-fi series “Doctor Who.”

“Yeah, Bill’s gay. It shouldn’t be a big deal in the 21st century. It’s about time, isn’t it?” Mackie told the BBC. “That representation is important, especially on a mainstream show.”

As most of us Whovians and ComicMixers know, BBC America became the All Doctor Who All The Wibbly Wobbly Timey Winey Stuff network this past week in honor of the premiere of Season 9 – which, as I write this, airs tonight, Saturday, September 19. Within the crowded field of British detective shows, Case Histories truly stands out as one of the very best contemporary dramas in recent years. It’s not as gloomy as Vera, not as gory as Luther, and it lacks the frivolity of Midsomer Murders. What it does offer is a realistic central character played brilliantly by Harry Potter bad-guy Jason Isaacs. Jackson Brodie (Isaacs) is broody but he’s positively jovial when compared with Wallander. He’s something of a lady’s man and could be described as Scotland’s answer to Jim Bergerac only with a penchant for cigarettes rather than booze. Brodie has his demons and he’s not immune to the odd cock-up but he’s a good guy at heart and he usually unravels the perplexing mysteries that land in his lap.

Case Histories ran for two seasons each comprised of three feature length mysteries.

Sky1 has confirmed the launch date for new series Critical.

The medical drama will premiere on the channel on Tuesday, February 24.

The 13-part series is told in real-time like 24 and focuses on a hospital's trauma unit.

The series is written by Line of Duty's Jed Mercurio and reunites him with actor Lennie James, who stars as trauma consultant Glen Boyle.

The show also stars Catherine Walker (Strike Back), Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) and Kimberley Nixon (Fresh Meat).

The Critical cast is completed by Neve McIntosh, Prasanna Puwanarajah, John MacMillan, Ellen Thomas, Mali Harries, Paul Bazely, Danny Kirrane, Peter Sullivan, Emma Fryer, Orion Lee and Juliet Oldfield.

Critical is Mercurio's first medical drama since his work on Bodies in 2006. He also wrote Cardiac Arrest for the BBC between 1994 and 1996.

Doctor Who's next episode 'Robot of Sherwood' has been given a teaser trailer by the BBC.

The adventure - written by Mark Gatiss - features Tom Riley playing the legendary hero Robin Hood.

Ben Miller will also star opposite Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman in the episode, which has been directed by Paul Murphy.

The synopsis reads: "In a sun-dappled Sherwood forest, the Doctor discovers an evil plan from beyond the stars and strikes up an unlikely alliance with Robin Hood.

"With all of Nottingham at stake, the Doctor must decide who is real and who is fake. Can impossible heroes really exist?"

Doctor Who aired an edited version of recent episode 'Deep Breath' in Asian territories, cutting a 'kiss' between two female characters.

The scene - which featured Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and wife Jenny (Catrin Stewart) - was censored to "comply with broadcast regulations", according to a BBC spokesperson.

Doctor Who aired an edited version of the episode 'Deep Breath' in Asian territories, cutting a 'kiss' between two female characters.

In Peter Capaldi's debut episode, Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and wife Jenny (Catrin Stewart) were forced to hold their breath to avoid being detected by killer robots.

With Jenny unable to hold her breath any longer, Vastra gave her a 'kiss of life' - sharing oxygen from her own lungs.

However, the scene was excised from a version of the episode broadcast on the BBC Entertainment channel in several Asian countries.

A BBC spokesperson told Pink News: "In order to comply with broadcast regulations in Asia where our BBC Entertainment channel airs, BBC Worldwide made a brief edit to the first episode of Doctor Who Series 8, but did so without detracting from the storyline."

Ofcom will not investigate complaints made about Doctor Who's series eight premiere 'Deep Breath'.

Some viewers complained to the media watchdog after Silurian Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) was seen kissing her human wife Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) as they hid from killer droids in last Saturday's (August 23) episode.

Ofcom confimed that it received six complaints from viewers, who described the kiss as "gratuitous" and "unnecessary".

A spokeman for Ofcom said: "Ofcom can confirm it received six complaints about a kiss broadcast in an episode of Doctor Who on Saturday 23 August.

"Having assessed the complaints, we can confirm that they do not raise issues warranting further investigation. Our rules do not discriminate between scenes involving opposite-sex and same-sex couples."

Peter Capaldi's full debut as the 12th Doctor was watched by nearly 7 million people, according to early figures.

Doctor Who's series eight premiere 'Deep Breath' will receive a special DVD and Blu-ray release.

The feature-length episode - Peter Capaldi's first full appearance as the 12th Doctor - will be available to own on Monday, September 8.

Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor - the special broadcast that unveiled Capaldi as the latest incarnation of the Time Lord - has also been included.

The release will also feature a 10-minute behind the scenes feature and other exclusive content.

'Deep Breath' sees The Doctor and Clara (Jenna Coleman) reunited with Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) and Straz (Dan Starkey) in Victorian London.

Following the success of last year's 50th anniversary special, the episode will be screened in cinemas worldwide.

A special screening at London's Odeon in Leicester Square will feature special guests and a Q&A.

Brand new pictures from Doctor Who's feature-length series eight premiere 'Deep Breath' have been unveiled.

The BBC debuted four striking photographs today (July 31), with one picture showing Peter Capaldi's Doctor wearing the 11th Doctor's (Matt Smith) costume.

The Line of Duty star has been cast as trauma consultant Glen Boyle in the ensemble drama, which takes place in real-time over each one-hour episode.
