Patricia McCorkle, CSA
Pat holds a Bachelor's degree from Douglas College and a Masters in Theatre Education with an emphasis in Directing from New York University. She began her casting career with Circle In the Square Theatre in New York. She then joined the prestigious TCG (Theatre Communications Group) and worked in the Casting Division for Non-profit Theatres throughout the United States. Within the span of a few years, Pat went into partnership with Casting Director Roger Sturtevant. McCorkle-Sturtevant maintained their strong Theatre ties and branched out into Television and Film projects. Pat continued to cast for all major networks and feature film companies. She continues to cast for Broadway (over 50 productions), Off Broadway (0ver 60 productions), Film (55 Features and independent) and Television
(53 episodic and TV film) productions.
Patricia's industry accomplishments are noteworthy; National board member of CSA (Casting Society of America), Recognized as Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award with Douglas College, Associate Artist for Barrington Stage Company, Lifetime Achievement award for George Street Playhouse, Emmy Nomination for Californication, 18 Artios nominations (industry award for excellence in casting), On the Executive Board of Directors for Laurents/Hatcher Foundation. Faculty member at; Rutgers University, University of Connecticut, Storrs, University of Missouri, Kansas City - (for MFA students), Harrt School, University of Delaware. Pat is also heavily involved in promoting actors of color, LBGT, and special needs communities with seminars, classes and workshops throughout the country.
Rebecca Weiss, CSA (Partner/ Casting Director at McCorkle Casting) is an NY based Casting Director focusing primarily on casting for film and theater. She has over a decade of experience in the theater industry, working first as a producer and dramaturg before transitioning full time to casting. With a love for new work in particular, some favorite casting credits with McCorkle Casting have been the world premieres of Suzan-Lori Park's Sally & Tom for The Guthrie Theater, May Treuhaft Ali's ABCD for Barrington Stage Co, the feature films Tripped Up, The Mistress, Hallmark's A Spectacular Christmas and Ghosts of Christmas Always and numerous plays and musicals for Barrington Stage, The Guthrie, George Street Playhouse, McCarter Theatre Center, City Theatre, Playmakers Rep, Milwaukee Rep, and more. Barrington Stage Company, Prior to her career in casting, she worked in the artistic department at Barrington Stage Company as dramaturg and line producer including the world premiere productions of Lloyd Suh's The Chinese Lady and Rachel Lynett's Well Intentioned White People, new plays including Bekah Brunstetter's The Cake, and more. As Associate Producer of Performing Arts Programs at Symphony Space, she worked on theater and music events including the annual Project Broadway series, the residencies of Rhiannon Giddons and The Magnetic Fields, and the annual marathon performance Wall to Wall. Prior to that as Artistic Director of Spicy Witch Productions, Rebecca produced and cast seven seasons of plays including five world premieres by emerging female writers. She also serves as Writers Group Literary Coordinator at The Playwrights Realm, where she continues her passion for new play development and is a member of Casting Society of America. She holds a BA in Theater and Music from The University of Rochester.
Jeffrey Dreisbach, Casting Partner Jeffrey received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Wayne State University with additional performance study from Roger Williams College (London) and California Institute of the Arts (Disney University). Upon graduation, Jeffrey worked as an actor in New York for over 20 years accruing theatre, film and television credits. On Broadway, he performed over 500 performances as Lt. Kenrick in Aaron Sorkin's, A Few Good Men (Original Cast). Jeffrey soon transitioned into performing arts administration and became Executive Director of the nations oldest and largest broadcast training Schools, served as faculty in a performing arts High School, Interim Director of an actors training institute and guest faculty at several universities. He began his role as Casting Partner with McCorkle Casting in 2010. His is the author of, "Conversation Pieces out of the Studio (Voice-over workbook) and his podcast, "Casting Actors Cast" is heard weekly worldwide with thousands of downloads. Jeffrey enjoys teaching actors at colleges, universities and conservatories throughout New York and the country.
