

Christian Slater, Christopher Briney, Josh Radnor, Dagmara Dominczyk and more have joined the lineup of actors participating in The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway.
The annual event sees actors, writers, directors and production staff coming together on the night of Oct. 22 for a brainstorming session. The writers create the plays overnight and then the cast comes back together on Oct. 23 to rehearse ahead of the performance that evening. This year’s event will take place at The Town Hall and will honor playwright and former Law & Order: Svu showrunner Warren Leight, who has been a longtime supporter of the organization.

The Public Theater Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis Executive Director, Patrick Willingham announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of The Vagrant Trilogy, a Public Theater commission, written by Emerging Writers Group Alumna Mona Mansour. Directed by Mark Wing-Davey, The Vagrant Trilogy begins performances in the LuEsther Hall on Tuesday, March 17 with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance, and will run through Sunday, April 26 with an official press opening on Wednesday, April 1.

Kelly Miller has joined Literate, A.B. Fischer and Dennis Kim’ television-focused boutique management and production company, as a manager. Miller moves to Literate from Paradigm, where she served as a theater-to-tv crossover agent.
The move to Literate is a return to management for Miller, who before her stint at Paradigm was a manager at The Shuman Company. It also reunites her with Fischer, with whom she worked at The Shuman Co., where Fischer was a Partner before leaving to form Literate in a year ago.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today the 201314 Subscription Season, including two world premieres, an American premiere and two Chicago premieres. The season begins in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre with Zinnie Harris's The Wheel, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau. Up next, ensemble member Austin Pendleton directs Tribes by Nina Raine. Hamingson) has announced the 10 members of the 2009 Emerging Writers Group, the second season of an annual program that targets playwrights at the earliest stages of their careers and nurtures their artistic growth by providing necessary resources and support.
