With the much-anticipated Oscars night quickly approaching, it's only natural to look back on some significant winners from the past. Since the esteemed ceremony's inception in 1929, plenty of filmmakers, actors, and movies have set several long-standing records. The most awards won by a single film is a three-way tie between Ben-Hur, Titanic, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King — each earning a remarkable 11 wins. Katharine Hepburn set the record for Best Actress with four Oscars, Parasite was the first non-English film to win Best Picture, and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki has taken home three consecutive awards for his work in Gravity, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), and The Revenant.
While these artists and their films are undoubtedly award-worthy, there are some winners audiences may not realize have maintained their records for decades. One of those Oscar-recipients is Batman v. Superman actor Ben Affleck. In 1997, alongside co-writer and actor Matt Damon,...

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books will be getting a new series adaptation and early developments are underway for the series. Rumors began circulating about John Lithgow’s casting in the series in the role of Albus Dumbledore. While HBO hasn’t officially confirmed any updates regarding Lithgow’s rumored role, the show would have to break a major pattern of the movies to realize this casting.

While Lithgow is more than capable of starring in the role given his vast experience, he is still an American actor. Earlier, Harry Potter movies exclusively preferred British actors in different roles. The film franchise once rejected the legendary Robin Williams due to this reason.

Tubi has become one of the world's most popular streaming services thanks to its ad-supported model. Certainly, people are more inclined to purchase premium subscriptions because they will be able to access exclusive content, although Tubi is just as good, if not better, than many streaming options. The reason for this is that there are plenty of movies available on the platform, and when they are divided into genres such as Western, action, horror, and comedy, you will find Tubi to be a highly reliant platform.
Speaking of action movies, there are hundreds of exciting action movies available across various streaming platforms, but Tubi offers them for free on a monthly basis, adding some of the most iconic titles to the roster despite being from third-party providers. Having said that, who doesn't enjoy watching action flicks every now and then? Films like Taken and Die Hard, in particular, are cult...

Jesse Tyler Ferguson recalled Matthew Perry helped calm his nerves while shooting his first show with a “Friends” anecdote.
While talking with Lisa Kudrow on his “Dinner’s on Me” podcast, Ferguson looked back to days on the set of “The Class” – a one-season show and among the “Modern Family” alum’s first – and remembered a shoot that was saved for him by Perry showing up and sharing a behind-the-scenes joke from his days on “Friends.”
“I remember we were shooting ‘The Class’ on the same stage that you shot ‘Friends’ on at Warner Brothers,” Ferguson said. “David [Krane] was very comfortable there, Jimmy Burrows was very comfortable there. We certainly like these apples. Good Will Hunting is now available to stream for free on Fawesome and it's undoubted that the 1997 comedy-drama, written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, has stood the test of time as one of the most beloved films of its era. Starring Damon as the titular Will Hunting, a troubled mathematical genius, and the legendary Robin Williams as Dr. Sean Maguire, the film explores love, loss, and self-discovery with a really light touch that's still super effective.

Good Will Hunting was released in 1997, but its plot remains timeless. Directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, it tells the story of a janitor at MIT who's a self-taught math genius and recently paroled from jail. Stellan Skarsgård plays Professor Gerald Lambeau, who discovers the talent in Will Hunting, played by Matt Damon. Robin Williams plays Dr. Sean Maguire, the psychologist who's able to get through to Will and help him deal with his self-destructive tendencies.
The movie won Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Robin Williams' performance at the 1998 Academy Awards. It's widely considered one of the best movies of all time for its amazing performances and incredibly inspirational story that involves the topics of working-class resilience, mental health and the role of a mentor in a young person's life. Film audiences may have first recognized Ben Affleck for his appearance in the 1992 film "School Ties," where he played the main sidekick of the film's central bully. In 1993, Affleck was already behind the camera as well, having made a rather notorious 16-minute short film called "I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney." Affleck played a boorish womanizer named Shannon in Kevin Smith's 1995 comedy "Mallrats," and he teamed with Smith again in 1997 to make the stirring queer romantic drama "Chasing Amy." At the end of 1997, Affleck and his friend Matt Damon became awards darlings thanks to Gun Van Sant's "Good Will Hunting" which they both wrote and starred in.
Affleck has remained a superstar ever since, having appeared in terse studio dramas, mainstream romances, and numerous action films. He played the superheroes Daredevil and Batman and continued to work with Kevin Smith.

Fairytales converge in the world of Once Upon a Time, a magical series that aired on ABC from 2011 to 2018. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's fantasy show follows Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), who becomes a guide to the eclectic array of characters and creatures in this patchwork town. We've met queens, princesses, princes, and villains, but in Season 2, a green-clad sharpshooter sneaks into the mix, and you may recognize his motto: steal from the rich, give to the poor. Robin Hood briefly appeared in the second season and was played by Tom Ellis. However, he was re-casted after this first appearance, returning in Season 3 as Sean Maguire.

After 10 Years, I Still Can't Believe Once Upon A Time's Most Mistreated Character Never Got Justice

Despite only appearing in a handful of episodes, it is clear to me that Maid Marian was the most mistreated character in Once Upon a Time. In every episode she appears in, something bad happens to her whether it's being held captive, suffering from an illness, or losing her life. Not only was she mistreated, but Marian also died twice. To top it off, eventually, both her murderers ended up in some kind of romantic relationship with her husband, Robin Hood (Tom Ellis and Sean Maguire).
What's worse than this is that the character never got any kind of justice. Both of her killers got off scot-free and were even rewarded and welcomed by the heroes in the series finale. Even by the end of the show, when Robin Hood was killed, his soul was completely destroyed and obliterated, so she wasn't even reunited with her husband in the afterlife.

"You stand on the sideline too long, the game is gonna be over." Paramount Movies has revealed an official trailer for a psychological thriller titled Shadow Land, being dropped on VOD this summer. The latest from the same stuntman filmmaker behind Air Force One Down before. Haunted by relentless nightmares foretelling his untimely demise, Former President Robert Wainwright summons his past psychiatrist to his upstate residence who discovers the threat may be more real than imagined. With his trusted advisor, they embark on a mission to uncover the truth, navigating a dangerous path that could end up exposing a global crisis. This sounds like a completely crazy nonsensical script that is might be trying to comment on current events. But anyone with half a brain can see right through the Bs. Starring Jon Voight, Marton Csokas, Rhona Mitra, Philip Winchester, and Sean Maguire. It looks much more kooky than it does thrilling.

Recasting a character in a TV show can have significant effects on the trajectory of the series. Creative differences or a lack of audience connection can prompt the need for a recast. Recasting can inject new life into a series and allow showrunners to align characters with their creative vision.
Casting is a crucial aspect in creating a TV show, as an actor's ability to bring a character to life can significantly impact the success of the series. Occasionally, creative differences or a lack of audience connection may prompt the need to recast a character after the show has begun. Introducing a new actor to portray a character audiences have already started to know can have intriguing effects on the show's trajectory, for better or worse. When a series first begins, the cast and crew are still finding their footing.

Good Will Hunting is a modern classic movie with contemporary themes, unforgettable characters, and a thought-provoking narrative. The film, written by childhood friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, explores the brilliance and troubled past of Will Hunting, who confronts his demons with the help of psychology professor Sean Maguire. While not based on a true story, the film draws inspiration from real-life events in Damon's life and features an inspirational ending where Will chooses love and happiness over a job opportunity.
Hollywood has produced many classics, and there are even some old films that have contemporary themes, unforgettable characters, and thought-provoking narratives that manage to resonate across different generations. A prime example of a modern classic movie is Good Will Hunting, which was released more than two decades ago and was written by childhood friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who translated their friendship on-screen in the former of Will Hunting and Chuckie Sullivan.

Eric Goldberg reveals that Robin Williams' improvisation in the recording booth led to the creation of the Pinocchio Easter egg in Aladdin. Williams' unique voice performance as Genie allowed for unexpected moments and ad-libs, like the famous "buh-woop" line, which Goldberg turned into Pinocchio's nose growing. Williams' improvisation skills were not limited to Aladdin, as seen in his ad-libbed scenes in Good Will Hunting, showcasing his comedic talent and enhancing the projects he was involved in.
Disney animator Eric Goldberg has explained how Aladdin's Pinocchio Easter egg came to be. The Easter egg occurs in the beloved 1992 animated movie when Aladdin promises that he will use his third wish to grant the Genie his freedom. The Genie responds by transforming his face into Pinocchio, making it clear that he doesn't believe Aladdin will use his coveted third wish to free him.

Christopher Nolan's 2002 film Insomnia helped Robin Williams break free from his comedic roles, showcasing his talent as a dramatic actor. Williams delivered a career-defining performance as the villainous Walter Finch in Insomnia, receiving widespread praise for his chilling portrayal. While Williams' performance in Insomnia is impressive, his role as Seymour Parrish in One Hour Photo takes his career to the next level, showcasing his emotional range and complexity as an antagonist.
While Christopher Nolan has had plenty of box office hits, his 2002 psychological thriller, Insomnia, will always be considered one of his most memorable as his first $100 million success helped Robin Williams break a huge trend. Actor Matt Damon recently recalled being stunned by a memorable improvised line by Robin Williams while filming Good Will Hunting. Written by Damon with longtime friend and creative partner Ben Affleck, the 1997 comedy-drama stars Williams as psychology professor Dr. Sean Maguire who is tasked with providing therapy for the broken, yet extremely gifted Will Hunting (Damon). Earning rave reviews and over $225 million at the box office, Good Will Hunting proved a massive success for Damon and Affleck, leading them to their Academy Award win for Best Original Screenplay.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Damon recalled being stunned by Williams' improvised line in a pivotal Good Will Hunting scene.
After Maguire finally breaks through to Will, the young genius decides to follow his love to California. In a note left to the professor, Will uses Macguire's previous words to punctuate the moment, "I had to go see about a girl." The original...

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have responded to the bizarre pitch for a Good Will Hunting sequel. The 1997 film was the first major breakthrough for Affleck and Damon, who wrote the script together and starred in the film, with Damon playing the titular Will Hunting and Affleck portraying his pal Chuckie Sullivan. Affleck and Damon also won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for their work on the film.
While walking the red carpet for their new film Air, Damon was asked by Variety about the craziest movies he's been pitched recently, and the actor responded by saying that someone had tried to pitch Affleck a Good Will Hunting sequel. The idea made Damon laugh hysterically and while the pitch was apparently genuine, Affleck and Damon clearly did not treat it as such and did not make it seem like it was an idea they would be considering seriously any time soon.

While many adventuring parties in Pathfinder 2e have a cleric ready to heal and protect their allies, the origin of their power can sometimes be unorthodox. As the prime class for party support, a cleric is adept at both keeping their allies alive and weakening their foes. In Pathfinder, players have several options for domains and deities that can enhance those aspects and more, however, this abundance of choices means a cleric’s domain may be a bit more complicated than just simple healing or destruction.
In Pathfinder 2e, a domain is the source of the cleric’s powers and abilities and usually represents their beliefs. Just as Pathfinder fighters have several weapons for character builds, clerics have many domains and deities for different themes and powers. The most common of these domains are those inherently good-natured, like the healing powers of the Sun or the righteous cause of Protection,...

20-Squad is back, and it feels so good.
On S.W.A.T. Season 6 Episode 1, Hondo, Deacon, and Tan are in Bangkok and obviously, things don't go quite as planned when Hondo stumbles upon a heroin operation with his old military buddy, Joe.
With guest star Sean Maguire, the CBS series is starting its season strong with plenty of action and emotions.
This is the second time that a season on S.W.A.T. has begun in a different country and the third overall episode arc that has done that, not to mention that we got an elephant in the background in one scene, which may or may not have been planned.
You never know just what to expect when an episode of a series films in a completely different setting, but I have to say that it's so nice when it happens every so often.
We aren't confined to just HQ and different locations in and around Los Angeles.
