Guess who called Justin Baldoni a “predator”—the same Ryan Reynolds who apparently greenlit the gross script for Deadpool 3, where his 7-year-old daughter (at the time of filming) was made to say an R-rated line. Given that Reynolds was a co-writer for the movie, the script went through him before it was finalized.

Following this information, wait till you hear that Shawn Levy’s original script for Deadpool 3 had a worse dialogue for Ryan Reynolds’ daughter Inez before it was changed to yet another R-rated line. Netizens are fuming over how Reynolds greenlit the script and even made his daughter do around 70 to 500 versions of the line.

Just a few months ago, the internet was glowing with excitement over Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans were celebrating every teaser, every poster, every tiny detail. But fast forward to now, and the conversation regarding the movie has taken a sharp turn. Thanks to all the It Ends With Us drama, every aspect of the movie is being scrutinized under a magnifying glass.

The chatter around Nice Pool has now faded into the background. Instead, a far more unsettling topic has grabbed everyone’s attention, something that was right there in plain sight but largely ignored until now, the involvement of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s daughter, Inez, in the movie.
Fans can’t believe Ryan Reynolds made his seven-year-old daughter say this line in Deadpool & Wolverine!

Max is set to receive one of the greatest comic book movies ever made, at least according to Ryan Reynolds. The X-Men spinoff movie Logan is slated to hit the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streaming service at the start of April.
Beginning April 1, Max subscribers will be able to stream 2017's Logan, the third and final installment in 20th Century Fox's solo Wolverine trilogy. Before Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart respectively returned as variants of Wolverine and Professor X in Deadpool & Wolverine and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the 2017 X-Men spinoff was set to serve as the swan songs for both of the characters. Drawing inspiration from the "Old Man Logan" comic book storyline by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, Logan follows an aged Wolverine and an extremely ill Charles Xavier who must defend a young mutant named Laura (Dafne Keen) from the Reavers.

Rumors relating to Taylor Swift possibly being in line for a superhero movie part (in both the MCU and Dcu) have been doing the rounds for quite a while at this stage, but we are now hearing that the pop megastar turned actress has entered talks for an undisclosed MCU role.
Mttsh doesn't mention which character Swift might be in negotiations to play, but Dazzler still seems to be the most popular fan-cast.
The Swift as Dazzler rumors first began when the singer's likeness was used for the musical mutant's album cover in X-Men: Apocalypse. Nothing ever came of it back then, but the rumors persisted. Speculation really kicked into overdrive when she was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game with Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) in 2023.
Of course, Swift was nowhere to be seen in the movie,...

The It Ends With Us legal drama is focused on Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, but it has extended like quicksand. Ryan Reynolds, Lively's husband, also came under scrutiny with his 2024 hit film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
First, Reynolds was dragged in the whole legal drama before Baldoni even filed his $400 million lawsuit against the Hollywood couple and Lively's publicist, Leslie Sloane. Fans found several similarities between Reynolds' Deadpool variant, Nicepool, and Justin Baldoni, which Reynolds hasn't denied in his recent filing. However, now the actor's Kidpool character is under scrutiny amid the ongoing legal drama, and a clip from Deadpool & Wolverine is going viral.

Four years after bringing the world the high speed comedy classic Smokey and the Bandit (and three years after their stuntman comedy Hooper and one year after Smokey and the Bandit II), director Hal Needham and star Burt Reynolds teamed up again for another high speed comedy, the goofball ensemble film The Cannonball Run. The film was a big hit, the sixth highest-grossing domestic film of 1981, and it was followed by a pair of less successful sequels, Cannonball Run II (1983) and Speed Zone (1989). Even though the follow-ups aren’t highly regarded, The Cannonball Run is still a well-known title, which is why we’ve been hearing rumblings of a remake for years. Now, industry scooper Jeff Sneider of The InSneider reports that Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan is likely to be the one to finally bring The Cannonball Run back to the screen, as his production company, Bosque Ranch, is developing...

Stranger Things's Sherman Augustus is leaving the Midwest and heading to the DC Universe. The veteran actor and former NFL player recently joined the cast of Dcu's Lanterns, and is set to portray John Senior, the father of Aaron Pierre's character, John Stewart. John Senior is said to be the sort of parent who holds onto the past and is the definition of stubborn. His role will also be recurring, so viewers will see him often throughout the upcoming HBO drama series based on the DC Green Lantern comic. Augustus joins the show's stars, Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler (who will play Hal Jordan), and Kelly MacDonald, who signed on as the series' regular character Kerry (a sheriff who takes her job very seriously).
A team-up that involves a veteran and their new recruit will always be dramatic and action-packed with a splash of humor here and there.

Before Deadpool & Wolverine arrived in theaters, we were told repeatedly that the Marvel Studios movie wouldn't undo the events of Logan and would instead respect what was meant to be Hugh Jackman's farewell to the character.
While the threequel did indeed leave that Wolverine Variant dead and gone, "respect" wasn't quite the word many fans would use for how Deadpool & Wolverine kicked off.
The Merc with the Mouth dug up Logan's body and, upon realising that there was no coming back for the fallen X-Man, he proceeded to use his claws and bones to brutally slaughter a squadron of Tva agents...to the tune of "Bye Bye Bye" by Nsync.
It was an awesome way to open the movie and Hot Toys has now unveiled a new 1/6th-scale figure of Wade Wilson based on that sequence.

Jon Favreau, the director of "Iron Man" and "The Lion King," is a blockbuster maestro who, in recent years, has become best known for his work in the "Star Wars" galaxy. Specifically, he's the driving force behind the smash hit "The Mandalorian" and is now in the process of bringing Mando and his trusty sidekick Grogu to the big screen for next year's aptly titled "The Mandalorian and Grogu." Recent reports have suggested that Favreau managed to make the movie for less money than one might expect, but that's not entirely accurate.
Thanks to $21.75 million in tax credits from California (per the California Film Commission), "The Mandalorian and Grogu" appeared to have a final budget of $166.4 million. In the era of $200 million franchise blockbusters being far too normal, this would be pretty surprising. However, that's just the money spent in the 2024 tax year, so the final budget will almost certainly be higher.

Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood's most popular leading men, with a series of successful blockbusters. However, nothing comes close to his passion project, the Deadpool franchise.

After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things (which is also the last season of the show) finally went into production at the start of 2024 with a twelve month shooting schedule, wrapping at the end of December. Series creators the Duffer Brothers are working hard to get the season ready for release by the end of the year – and Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos told Variety he doesn’t think there will be a “dry eye” watching this final season.
Stranger Things has the following synopsis: A love letter to the ‘80s classic genre films that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is a thrilling drama set in the seemingly normal Midwestern town of Hawkins, Indiana. After a boy vanishes into thin air, his close-knit group of friends and family search for answers and are pulled into a high-stakes and deadly series of events.

Go, go, Power Rangers — all the way to Disney+. At least, that is the hope of the Mouse House, which is currently eyeing an adaptation of the Mighty Morphin' superheroes for the small screen. According to a new, exclusive report from TheWrap, it is said that Percy Jackson and the Olympian showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks to write, showrun, and produce a new live-action series for Disney+.
The duo are hoping to reinvent the franchise for a new generation of fans while also still engaging with those — mostly adults — who grew up with and already love the world of Hasbro and Saban's "Super Sentai" (as they were originally known in Japan). Hasbro, the company that now owns the rights to the characters, will also be producing the series.

Throw a pickaxe in Hollywood today, and you could easily hit a dozen video game adaptations in the works as TV series and movies. They’re all vying for the same things — critical acclaim, big bucks at the box office or streaming subscriber spikes from built-in fandoms. But it’s a risky gamble: Will they become a “Borderlands” movie flop, or a “Last of Us” success?
Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures and Microsoft are mining for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-film adaptation: “A Minecraft Movie.”
For the uninitiated, the Microsoft-owned “Minecraft” is a sandbox game that drops players into the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky voxels that look like boxes. There’s no storyline or single way to play: Users can make objects, build structures, fight enemy mobs, befriend animals and explore the islands crafted by other players. Picture Legos in a world with infinite possibilities.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks with Disney+ to helm a live-action Power Rangers television series. The first entry in Saban's Power Rangers franchise was the original 1990s TV series The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, which followed a group of five teenagers with attitude who gain the ability to morph into superpowered heroes. With 30 seasons of continuity on TV, the last attempt to reboot Power Rangers in 2017 failed at the box office.
Now, TheWrap has reported that Disney+'s Percy Jackson team is being eyed for aPower Rangers live-action series. Based on Rick Rordian's fantasy children's books, Steinberg and Shotz have led Percy Jackson and the Olympians since its premiere in 2023. The award-winning Greek mythology series has been praised for its faithfulness to Riordan's work, and has already been renewed for season 3 ahead of season 2's late 2025 premiere.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks to write, showrun and produce a live-action “Power Rangers” series for Disney+ and 20th Century TV, TheWrap has exclusively learned.
Hasbro will produce the series, which will reinvent the franchise for a whole new generation of fans while delighting those who already know and love the world of Power Rangers.
The ’90s TV show, originally called “The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers,” was inspired by a Japanese children’s show, “Super Sentai” (even using footage from that show). It featured five teenagers who gain the ability to “morph” into superheroes known as the Power Rangers, complete with their own mech fighters. A film version of the series that starred most of the original cast was released in 1995, with a second one in 1997 (this one featured only a few original cast members).

Finn Wolfhard might be growing beyond Stranger Things stardom, but he still credits the show as a rite of passage. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he reflected on how his time on the Netflix hit prepared him for Hell of a Summer, his directorial debut.

Known for his breakout role in Stranger Things, the actor-turned-director recalled sticking around post-curfew "just to watch the filmmakers make the show." The Netflix set became a classroom, an informal crash course ahead of Wolfhard pursuing a career in directing.

Netflix is developing a second season of The Perfect Couple, shifting the murder-mystery drama into an anthology format. The follow-up season will be based on Swan Song, the 2024 novel by Elin Hilderbrand, with The Bear co-showrunner Joanna Calo adapting the book and serving as showrunner.
The first season, which premiered in September 2024, followed the wealthy Winbury family and concluded its story within six episodes. Despite being originally conceived as a limited series, The Perfect Couple became one of Netflix’s most-watched shows in the second half of the year. Sources indicate that the streamer plans to retain the Nantucket setting while introducing a new cast and centering on a different affluent family.

The Perfect Couple wrapped up its murder-mystery story at the end of its six episodes, seemingly obviating the need to continue telling the story of the wealthy Winbury family. The show was also, however, one of Netflix’s most popular shows in the second half of 2024, suggesting viewers might want more.
The solution? Turn the show into an anthology series, which sources say Netflix is planning to do. The streamer is developing a possible second season of the show that would retain The Perfect Couple’s Nantucket setting but center on a different rich family, played by a new cast — and based on a different novel by Elin Hilderbrand.
Netflix declined to comment.
The potential second season of The Perfect Couple would be based on Hilderbrand’s 2024 novel Swan Song, the fourth in a series set on Nantucket. The Bear co-showrunner Joanna Calo is adapting the book and will serve as showrunner.

Netflix is in the process of developing a second season of “The Perfect Couple,” according to media reports.
After the first season of “The Perfect Couple” adapted Elin Hilderbrand’s novel of the same name, the second installment would be based on Hilderbrand’s “Swan Song,” which is also set in Nantucket. Season 2 is in development at Netflix, and, if greenlit, would shift “The Perfect Couple” from a limited series to an anthology series.
The new season would welcome aboard a new showrunner in Joanna Calo, who’s best known for co-showrunning and executive producing FX’s “The Bear.” Susanne Bier and Nicole Kidman, who starred in the first season, will return as EPs alongside Gail Berman, Shawn Levy, Hend Baghdady and Per Saari.

The murder mystery drama series The Perfect Couple was a hit on Netflix when it premiered on Sept 5, 2024. Although it was originally supposed to be a limited series, the streamer has officially announced its future.
Per Deadline, The Perfect Couple has been renewed for Season 2. However, as the series has already solved the mystery at the end of Season 1, things will be different in the future. Instead of following the same characters, Season 2 will become an anthology while continuing to adapt Elin Hilderbrand's novels, this time, the 2024 novel Swan Song.
Elin Hilderbrand often writes novels set on or around Nantucket, where she lives. The Perfect Couple Season 1 followed the action of the 2018 eponymous novel, part of the Nantucket series. However, while the series as a whole creates a bigger universe where many characters are mentioned in different stories and provide further details about the characters, they can be enjoyed as standalones.

Netflix is going further into business with novelist Elin Hilderbrand, as the streamer lines up a second season of The Perfect Couple, the previously one-off miniseries starring Nicole Kidman and Liev Schrieber. But if you think the show will dive further into that particular murder mystery: think again. The Perfect Couple season 2 is coming, and the book it will adapt has just been revealed. Released in 2024 and based on Elin Hilderbrand's novel of the same name, The Perfect Couple season 1 stars Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber as Greer and Tag Winbury, a couple who become wrapped up in a murder investigation while attending a lavish Nantucket wedding. The darkly comedic mystery show, despite earning somewhat lukewarm reviews, was a major viewership success for Netflix, but it was billed as a limited series.
Deadline now reports that Netflix is developing The Perfect Couple season 2 and turning the show into an anthology, with the next outing set to adapt another novel by Hilderbrand. The author's 2024 novel, Swan Song, will serve as the basis for season 2, with the search now underway for the two lead roles of Leslee and Bill Richardson.

“The Perfect Couple” could be back for Season 2 — with a new story and a new cast.
Variety has learned from sources that Netflix is developing a second season of the popular series based on the Elin Hilderbrand novel “Swan Song.” Given that book features an entirely different story and characters than “The Perfect Couple,” also based on a Hilderbrand novel, the idea is to go the anthology route with the series.
Joanna Calo is attached to write, executive produce and showrun the new season, which has not been formally greenlit at this time. Season 1 star Nicole Kidman will executive produce for Blossom Films along with Per Saari, with Gail Berman, Shawn Levy, Susanne Bier, and Hend Baghdady also executive producing.
Reps for Netflix declined to comment.

The Perfect Couple is becoming an anthology. Following the success of the limited series, starring and executive produced by Nicole Kidman and directed and executive produced by Susanne Bier, Netflix is developing a second installment.
Like the first season, the followup will be based on Nantucket-set book by best-selling author Elin Hilderbrand, the 2024 novel Swan Song.
The new season will have a new writer/showrunner, The Bear executive producer/co-showrunner Joanna Calo, with most of the executive producing team returning, including Kidman, Bier, Gail Berman, Shawn Levy, Per Saari and Hend Baghdady. Reps for Netflix declined comment.
In Swan Song, a 22-million-dollar summer home is purchased by the mysterious Richardsons who throw lavish parties, flirt with multiple locals, flaunt their wealth with not one but two yachts, and raise impossible hopes of everyone they meet. Deadpool & Wolverine was the second-highest earning film of 2024 and the introduction of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film hasn’t been in the media for the best reasons in 2025, at least until this year's Oscars ceremony, where Deadpool made a brief but memorable appearance dancing behind host Conan O’Brien.
For an annual show that’s previously had streakers, full-on assaults, and some comically memorable errors, a man dancing in red spandex might not be the biggest moment of the show, though it was that way for the man in the suit. Nick Pauley was in costume, and he showed his thanks with a post online after the performance.
Critics said that Pauley was an absolute delight to watch on screen, and his dedication to making the dance a version of Nsync’s original number with a Merc With a Mouth-like twist is likely...

Over the past 40 plus years, the Star Wars universe has played host to some phenomenal talent. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford kicked off the franchise with A New Hope way back in 1977. Since then, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac, Samuel L. Jackson, and many more have all traveled to a galaxy far, far away for one of the various installments in the ever-expanding franchise. However, one actor you might have completely forgotten appeared in Star Wars is John Lithgow. Not only did the Third Rock From the Sun star become part of the Star Wars universe, he played none other than Master Yoda.
During an interview with Collider, Lithgow recalled his brief time playing Yoda in Star Wars. For those that don't know, Lithgow voiced Yoda in the radio dramatizations of The Empire Strikes Back. "I was acting in a play on Broadway directed by John Madden,...

Director Osgood Perkins has emerged as one of the best horror filmmakers of recent times. His work on the 2024 horror-thriller Longlegs received critical acclaim, with the director’s next venture being the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Monkey. Perkins was recently interacting with fans on social media to promote his latest movie.

While talking to fans, Perkins was asked about a dream project he would like to direct. Surprisingly, the director did not choose another horror property but expressed an interest in directing a movie focused on the Star Wars character Darth Vader. Perkins had a solid idea for a solo Darth Vader movie, but it is a shame that it might never materialize.

Over the past seven months, Osgood Perkins has had an impressive run. The director has released two films theatrically through distributor Neon: the horror thriller Longlegs, starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, and the horror-comedy The Monkey, starring Theo James. The latter is based on Stephen King's short story of the same name. Longlegs became a critical and box office success, surpassing Parasite to become Neon's highest domestic grossing film. The Monkey, which was just released in February 2025, also had the second-highest opening weekend in the distributor's history. To celebrate the release of The Monkey, Perkins did an Ask Me Anything (Ama) session on Reddit, where the director revealed his wish to tackle a Star Wars film, albeit not in the way anyone would expect.

In the midst of last week's "Will she, won't she retire," Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy gave an update for Shawn Levy's standalone Star Wars movie. And it was an update that I think is a brilliant move on Lucasfilm's part.
Speaking with Deadline, she was asked about both Levy and Simon Kinberg's upcoming films. She confirmed that Kinberg's is going to be "the new saga that moves us into the future." However, she was more concrete about Levy's movie saying, "Shawn’s is a standalone Star Wars story that’ll take place post-nine, maybe five or six years out."
This caught my eye because what we know about the Rey Skywalker film from Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. That one is about 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. If Kinberg's saga is also in this post-sequel trilogy time period, Levy's film could be pivotal in setting up these movies.

The 2025 Oscars ceremony featured a mystifying musical number in its opening segment, which included a nod to Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool character from the MCU. Uncharacteristically, the Merc With a Mouth didn't have anything to say on this occasion, but instead treated attendees and viewers of the 97th Academy Awards to a brief dance performance in a song that host Conan O'Brien ironically called "I Won't Waste Time" (despite doing exactly that).
This year's Oscars will be remembered for a lot of things, but one moment that is certain to live rent-free in people's heads is the musical number that opened the show. O'Brien commanded the stage with a baton in hand, as he introduced various characters from popular movies, including the sandworm from Dune: Part Two playing chopsticks on the piano and "someone who wasn't even nominated... Dancing Deadpool."

We are still hearing that Taylor Swift is hoping to land a superhero role, but who could she play - and for which franchise?
The Swift as Dazzler rumors first began when the singer's likeness was used for the musical mutant's album cover in X-Men: Apocalypse. Nothing ever came of it back then, but the rumors persisted. Ryan Reynolds has proven that his films bring people to the theater. His third Deadpool installment, Deadpool & Wolverine, was the biggest live-action film of 2024 and the second-highest-grossing title of the year.

Lucasfilm is moving forward with Ryan Gosling’s Star Wars project, and new casting details have started to surface as the rumors suggest. While the movie itself remains under wraps, a key detail about the villain has come to light.
According to insider DanielRPK on Patreon, an offer has already been made to a male actor for the main villain role. What’s surprising is that the character is not physically intimidating.
This isn’t the typical towering Sith Lord or heavily armored warrior we usually expect in Star Wars. Instead, the antagonist seems to rely on something other than brute force.

Kathleen Kennedy has clarified the rumors of her Lucasfilm exit so what is going on?
For the last few days, Star Wars fans have been abuzz with rumors that Kathleen Kennedy is leaving as the head of Lucasfilm. The longtime producer took over the reins when Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012 and has been guiding the various projects since.
A lot has been debated about Kennedy’s tenure. Star Wars has seen huge success with the sequel trilogy and expanding on Disney+, with The Mandalorian, Ashoka, and Andor receiving huge acclaim.
On the flip side, there’s been criticism (much of it very heavy) on the direction of the franchise as well as Lucasfilm properties like Indiana Jones and Willow. The flops of the last Indiana Jones movie and the numerous stalled or canceled Star Wars projects have led many to think that a change is needed.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has given an update on upcoming Star Wars projects. She confirmed that several movies are in development but did not mention Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s Rey film.
Kennedy confirmed that ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ movie is currently in production. After that, director Shawn Levy will begin working on his Star Wars film.
She also confirmed that writer and producer Simon Kinberg is working on a new Star Wars trilogy. He is currently writing the script, and fans can expect to see progress by June. Kennedy praised Kinberg’s past work with Lucasfilm and is excited about the new project. Kennedy explained that trilogy of movies as “the next iteration, the new saga that moves us into the future.”
We’re absolutely rolling fast and furiously. That has gone exceptionally well, and he’s literally going to script as we speak. We’ll see something probably around June.

Earlier this week, word got around that Kathleen Kennedy — the president of Lucasfilm since 2012 and the person most directly responsible for the modern era of Star Wars on the big and small screens — would be retiring from the position sometime in the near future. Speaking to Deadline, Kennedy confirmed that this is more or less true, although we don't know the details on timing. The 71-year-old producer has been in the job for over a decade and has been working on a succession plan for a while; maybe we'll hear an official announcement in a month, maybe a year, maybe longer.

This led to a frenzy online with people speaking about the "retirement" of Kathleen Kennedy, and now the current Lucasfilm head herself has set the record straight.

When it was announced earlier this week that Kathleen Kennedy would be stepping down as president of Lucasfilm – a position she has held since 2012 – the news was met in more or less the manner you’d expect. But there was also a lot of speculation: What happened? Who is taking over? What the hell species if Yoda anyway? Now, Kennedy is here to answer the questions – well, most of them…
Speaking with Deadline in what feels like an urgent interview, Kathleen Kennedy assured the industry that she isn’t retiring but simply stepping away from Lucasfilm. So where does that leave the position? “What’s happening at Lucasfilm is I have been talking for quite some time with both Bob [Iger] and Alan [Bergman] about what eventual succession might look like. We have an amazing bench of people here, and we have every intention of making an announcement months or a year down the road…...

At London's Star Wars Celebration in 2023, Lucasfilm announced three new Star Wars movies. One promised to explore the origin of the first Jedi, another looked set to assembled characters from the "Mandoverse," and then there was Daisy Ridley's return as Rey Skywalker.
They've yet to materialise, though The Mandalorian and Grogu is on the way and the rest remain in various stages of pre-production. However, Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy has pointed to the future of the franchise being primarily post-The Rise of Skywalker.
Talking to Deadline (via SFFGazette.com), the veteran producer said Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg's planned trilogy is "rolling fast and furiously" and "has gone exceptionally well."
She added, "He’s literally going to script as we speak. We’ll see something probably around June. We’re really excited about where that’s headed. This is the next iteration, the new saga that moves us into the future.

Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy's untitled Star Wars movie took a hyperspace jump forward with the casting of Ryan Gosling in the lead role back in January, but plot details are still very much under wraps.
Now, scooper Mttsh has shared some new rumors relating to the mysterious project.
Apparently, the movie will "have a significantly smaller budget" than the previous Disney-era films, and is described as "a more contained" story. Gosling's unnamed lead is also said to be accompanied by a younger character who is a Jedi Padawan.
This had led to speculation that the movie could be set in an era when the Jedi were still active (likely before the events of A New Hope), but Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy has since confirmed that it will actually be a post-The Rise of Skywalker story.
