Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman became an instant hit when the series debuted on ABC in 1993. Terri Hatcher, who played the titular Daily Planet reporter opposite Dean Cain's Man of Steel, recently shared her thoughts about a promotional photo from the series that went viral due to its provocative nature.
"I broke the internet when we still had dial-up," Hatcher told The Guardian when asked about the photo which featured the actor wrapped in Superman's cape and nothing more. "I don't credit myself with being so fabulous. I do remember the photo-shoot, which was to promote the TV show. It took all day. I was wearing a white blouse and pencil skirt because Lois is a reporter from the Daily Planet, with the cape wrapped over."

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… another Superman show! Yes, before Superman & Lois and before Smallville, the Man of Steel fell in love with a certain Daily Planet reporter in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The ABC superhero drama, developed by Deborah Joy LeVine, starred Dean Cain as Clark Kent, Superman’s alter-ego, and Teri Hatcher, the woman who quickly becomes Clark’s favorite Metropolis neighbor. Lois and Clark soon fall for one another, despite obstacles both extraterrestrial and terrestrial, like the villainous Lex Luthor (John Shea). Unfortunately, ABC canceled the show after four seasons, leaving the show unresolved: The Season 4 finale, which aired on June 14, 1997, ended on a cliffhanger. Now that Lois & Clark has been off the air for 25 years, relive highlights from the show with the video clips below. Superman saves Lois — and a space shuttle In the pilot episode, Superman...

Superheroes have been leaping off the printed page and onto the small screen for as long as television has been in existence, and there’s never been a better time for comic book fans to binge on the TV exploits of their favourite crime-fighting characters with dozens of series either in production or on the way…
Interestingly it’s DC Comics who are currently leading the charge on television, thanks to the likes of Arrow and The Flash – both of which have seemingly changed the way superheroes are brought to TV. No longer are superhero shows camp and Ott, instead they have become much more like the very comic books that inspired them, telling rich stories within huge universes; and thankfully television networks haven’t been afraid to bring the epic “crossover” to the small screen either. Be it Arrow and The Flash and their irregular team-ups, or 90s Flash...

Welcome to your Monday morning television briefing. And another one bites the dust. The axe has fallen on Noah Hawley's drama My Generation, which was cancelled by ABC after just two episodes. Production has come to a screeching halt on the series, which debuted to more than 5 million viewers in its initial airing and then plummeted a staggering 31 percent for the second episode. ABC has yet to announce a replacement for My Generation, which had the Thursday evening at 8 pm Et/Pt timeslot. News comes on the heels of Fox's decision to can Lone Star after two airings, while all eyes are on ABC's Whole Truth and NBC's Outlaw, which mark the two most likely targets for cancellation, should ratings not improve. Those of you waiting for a live-action "Wonder Woman" movie might need to wait a little bit longer — but that's not to say that the Amazon warrior isn't receiving a live-action treatment of a different kind.
Deadline reports that DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television are collaborating on an all new "Wonder Woman" television series. "The Practice" and "Ally McBeal" creator David E. Kelley is attached to write and produce the series, and is said to be "interested in tackling a contemporary take on the World War II-era Amazon."
At this point, it's currently unclear whether or not this latest "Wonder Woman" television adaptation will remain faithful to some of the character's most iconic attributes, including her costume, indestructible bracelets, her Lasso of Truth and the invisible airplane. Those details are currently under wraps.
This isn't the first time that Diana Prince has headed to the small screen, as Lynda Carter...

Wonder Woman is headed back to the small screen, courtesy of David E. Kelley. Wondering where you’ve heard that name before? Does The Practice, Boston Legal or Ally McBeal ring a bell? Kelley has been one of the most consistent hit makers in TV land for awhile, and he’s looking to sprinkle his magic Kelley dust as writer and producer on the new series starring DC Comics’ most iconic female superhero.
Not much is known about the direction of the series or how faithful it will be to the comics, but it seems DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. have been trying to find the right project for the Amazonian queen for some time now. A Wonder Woman film was making the rounds a few years ago (Joss Whedon and Beyonce?) before fizzling out and a television series was attempted by Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman creator Deborah Joy LeVine,...

After a disappointing run last summer, Fox has quietly cancelled their Mental TV series.
Mental follows the work of an unorthodox psychiatrist who becomes the Director of Mental Health at a fictional Los Angeles hospital. Created by Dan LeVine and co-executive produced by his sister, Deborah Joy LeVine, the series stars Chris Vance, Annabella Sciorra, Derek Webster, Jacqueline McKenzie, Marisa Ramirez, Nicholas Gonzalez, Warren Kole, and Edwin Hodge.
The series debuted in late May with 5.8 million viewers and a 2.1/5 rating/share in the 18-49 demographic. Those numbers put the series in third place for the timeslot. The numbers fell significantly after that, and episodes sometimes attracted less than half of the viewers as the premiere.
Some of the Mental castmembers have already moved on to other TV projects. Vance has had a recurring role on USA's Burn Notice.

Back at the beginning of the decade, "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" creator Deborah Joy Levine developed a new TV version of Wonder Woman. She got as far as writing the script for the pilot and beginning the casting process before the project fell apart. At the time, though, we caught up with Levine, who between casting sessions, took a few minutes to discuss her approach to the Amazon Princess.

Tuesday night, Fox debuted a new drama for the Summer months, Mental. So, did the premiere's ratings make the network crazy-happy or just drive them crazy?
Mental revolves around an unorthodox psychiatrist who becomes the Director of Mental Health at a fictional Los Angeles hospital. Created by Dan LeVine and co-executive produced by his sister, Deborah Joy LeVine, the series stars Chris Vance, Annabella Sciorra, Derek Webster, Jacqueline McKenzie, Marisa Ramirez, Nicholas Gonzalez, and Edwin Hodge.
The series premiered on Tuesday night and finished in third place for the 9pm hour with 5.8 million viewers and a 2.1/5 rating/share among the 18-49 demographic.
Those numbers aren't that impressive but the drama did build on its lead-in, a rerun of the popular and very compatible House. There was also very little drop off between Mental's first and second half hours, indicating that most watched the entire episode.
So, while Mental didn't...

Chicago – Hugh Laurie deserves the heaps of praise he gets for his spectacular work on “House”. If you’re wondering what that show would be like without the same believable medical issues, interesting characters or whip-smart dialogue provided by the show’s underrated writers, though, check out the new “Mental”. It’s another series about a rebellious doctor and it pales in comparison.
Television Rating: 2.0/5.0 Dr. Jack Gallagher (Chris Vance) is the new unorthodox psychiatrist named Director of Mental Health Services at a Los Angeles hospital. He battles his conservative administrator named Nora Skoff (Annabella Sciorra), a woman with whom he happens to share a romantic past.

Fox TV Studios' internationally produced medical series "Mental" has found a U.S. home.
Sister broadcast network Fox has picked up the 13-episode drama, a co-production between FtvS and Fox International Channels, to air in the summer.
After the series' U.S. debut, it will air on Fic's outlets in 35 countries.
Created and executive produced by Deborah Joy LeVine and Dan Levine, "Mental" stars Chris Vance as a rebellious psychiatrist at a Los Angeles mental-health hospital, where he works alongside a conservative boss (Annabella Sciorra).
The series' initial 13-episode order was shot at Fox TeleColombia in Bogota.
With its lower-cost production and by lining up Fic as a co-financier, "we were able to put together an unusually attractive financial deal for everyone involved, something that all studios, networks and companies are considering in this unprecedented economic climate," FtvS president Emiliano Calemzuk said.
The lower license fee proved attractive for Fox.
