- Playwright, lyricist and screenwriter, who usually worked in conjunction with Jerome Lawrence. All together, they collaborated on 39 plays. During World War II, they established the Armed Forces Radio Services, which provided entertainment and news to troops both overseas and stateside. Lee was a graduate of Wesleyan University and co-founder (with Lawrence) of the American Playwrights' Theatre in 1965.
