Jeffrey Lazar

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeff graduated with a B.A. in Art
History from the University of Michigan. He attended Temple
University/Tyler School of Art's program in Rome, Italy his junior
year.
Upon moving to New York City in 1980, he spent a year as an editorial assistant for the New Yorker magazine. The following year he began simultaneously doing film production work while also designing and building soft props and costumes for clients such as Claus Oldenburg, Saturday Night Live and Bruce Springsteen.
Since 1988, he has dedicated himself exclusively to first assistant director work.
Jeff, his wife and their daughter live in Manhattan.
