Major League Wrestling have today announced Ach vs. Brian Pillman Jr. for this Wednesday February 10th on Mlw’s flagship weekly series, Mlw: Fusion, available on YouTube, Fubo Sports, Dazn, beIN Sports and the Roku Channel.
Ach is not in a good mood since Team Filthy (allegedly) attacked him just days before the biggest match of his life – most likely changing the outcome of the Fatu/Ach World Heavyweight Championship bout. Now, Ach looks to unleash his fury in the ring and make a statement as he eyes payback on Team Filthy for their disgraceful conduct. But is Ach 100%? The short answer: No. Ach’s ribs remain tender, following the attack by Team Filthy. Dr. Sweglar said it could take up to a half year for him to fully recover. Does this create an opportunity for Pillman? Will Ach bounce back after heartbreaking heavyweight title match?
Scheduled for Wednesday’s card: Title vs.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Suspiria is a horror movie in America and Tuesday in Aunt Carol’s basement. Those pants are slimming on you! Okay, let’s get to more from this fabulous Pure Title Tournament…toots!
Match #1: Fred Yehi def. Silas Young – Block A First-Round Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Silas Young has been a fixture in Roh for the better part of the past eight years and is a two-time former World Television Champion. Fred Yehi spent those same eight years competing on the independent circuit and has never stepped inside an Roh ring. While their careers have taken different paths, both men are more than capable of making a deep run in the tournament. Young has a well-deserved reputation for being a tough-as-nails brawler who’s not unwilling to take short cuts.

Welcome to this week’s Mlw: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Michael Apted is a good director, but not always the most interesting fella. On this episode of Homeland, we ask ourselves why this show is still on the f—— air. Claire Danes knows where the bodies are buried and Killer Kross is still here, because he already filmed the footage before he signed with the WWE.
Match #1: El Lindaman defeated Zenshi The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Zenshi has his shoulder wrapped up due to his rendevous with Dominic Garrini, but it doesn’t slow the Chilean luchadore. He quickness leads to he and Lindaman running into an atheletic stalemate. The two quickly slap hands in respect, but Lindaman goes right on the attack. Zenshi is the first to get a pin attempt, but El Lindamen flies on top of Zenshi via a suicide senton,...

Match #1: Logan Creed defeated Moonshine Mantell The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
There’s quite the mass of humanity in the ring as Mantell and Creed trade blows but a shoulder tackle sends Moonshine to the mat. Moonshine refuses to relent but the power of Creed is too damn much. Moonshine turns the tide a bit with some corner shoulder thrusts but Creed cracks Mantell with a chokeslam backbreaker. He boots Mantell out of the ring and then does a top rope suicide dive onto Moonshine. Creed tosses Moonshine back into the ring and snaps him down with one powerful powerbomb.

Match #1: The Von Erichs (Marshall & Ross Von Erich) defeated The Filthy Squad (Kenn Doane & Mike Mondo) – Major League Wrestling World Tag Titles Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
It doesn’t take long for the action to start as Ross & Marshall go right on the attack. They give that offensive attakc an exclamation point with a double dropkick on Doane. Match #1: “Filthy” Tom Lawlor def. “Rip Von Erich” The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Lawlor teases a test of strength with Rip but Rip resorts into side headlock before Lawlor shoves him to the ground. Lawlor just completely owns Rip as the copycat competitor stands no chance against him. He puts on an elevated single leg crab and Rip makes it to the ropes. Rip goes for a discus punch but Tom puts him in an airplane spin. Rip still tries for the claw, but Tom puts him in his rear naked choke with a modified Claw to add salt to the wound. Rip “Van Winkles” out and the match is over.

Match #1: Low Ki beats Timothy Thatcher
My Opinion: 4.2 out of 5 – This was some great stuff. When you here the phrase “easy as pie” that’s how I feel about this match. There were no issues of two guys struggling to find a rhythm or attempting to make the match look legitimate or any-thing like that. Every-thing here was pitch-perfect to the point that having the match end before it went for six hours felt like a waste. This was one of those fights that had action of some...

Hell with it. We’ll do just fine. By the way, Austin Aries makes his big return to Mlw and he does it, right now…
Match #1: Austin Aries beat Adam Brooks
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – They actually gave this time to flourish. This was an excellent introduction for both men, but it was all about Aries here. Aries dominated the wrestling and dictated the pace and purpose of every-thing you saw. Looking fitter and more agile than ever, he took his controversial drawing powers and poured them into the forge of Major League Wrestling and helped craft a bout that will serve as a weapon against any-one that doubts his abilities...

Match #1: Richard Holliday defeated Kotto Brazil The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
While the night didn’t end well for The Dynasty, Holliday got things started on this week’s show with a victory for his group. Holliday used a size and power advantage to defeat Kotto Brazil, who has apparently healed from his eye injuries. Brazil removed the eye patch that he’s been wearing for months on his way to the ring and competed without it. The extra eyesight didn’t necessarily help the Haitian Sensation, as Most Marketable scored the victory with a gut-wrench powerbomb.

Match #1: Jacob Fatu & Josef Samael (Contra) beat Ace Romero & Barrington Hughes – Tag Team Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Josef Samael and Jacob Fatu teamed up to face super heavyweights Barrington Hughes and Ace Romero, who asked for the unsanctioned grudge match after numerous attacks by Contra. The larger Hughes and Romero had an early advantage. But Samael blasted his ever-present spike onto the back of Romero’s head, knocking him out of action. Kotto Brazil faced off with Jordan Oliver, who was making his singles debut in Major League Wrestling. Brazil was still wearing an eye patch thanks to a brawl with Ricky Martinez of Promociones Dorado. Salina de la Renta and Martinez would figure in the match prominently. Match #1: Lucha Bros. defeated Air Wolf & Rey Horus The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Two of the brightest young stars in Mlw went toe-to-toe with one of the best tag teams in the world as Air Wolf and Horus faced off with Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. Horus and Air Wolf had their moments, but in the end, it was the experience, both overall and as a team, that led to victory for the Lucha Bros. Oh, and a double-stomp-aided Penta driver.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was filled with all sorts of reckless leaps from any and all directions. Imagine seeing a bunch of rockets explode during their launch. I didn’t have any-hing to go with the last sentence.

Match #1: Brian Pillman Jr. defeated Mjf The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The odds were not in Brian Pillman Jr.’s favor at the outset. Maxwell J. Friedman was accompanied to the ring by his Dynasty mates Richard Holliday and Alexander Hammerstone. And early on, the Dynasty duo on the outside had an impact, interfering at every opportunity. Eventually, the official caught them in the act and sent them to the back, evening the odds. But Mjf put the odds in his favor once again, working over Pillman’s previously-injured shoulder. Perhaps Mjf got a little cocky after being in charge for much of the match. Match #1: Teddy Hart defeated Ace Austin – Major League Wrestling World Middleweight Championship Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
World Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart defended his title successfully vs. up-and-comer Ace Austin. In addition to a title defense, Hart earned a trip to the hospital. The Dynasty – Mjf, Richard Holliday and Alex Hammerstone – were partying at ringside during Hart’s match. Following the contest, Hart got into a verbal altercation with the trio. But then it became something more than verbal as Mjf hit Hart over the head with a champagne bottle.

Match #1: Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr) With Brian Pillman Jr. (New Champions) beat Lucha Bros! (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) – Major League Wrestling World Tag Team Championship Match

Match #1: Kotto Brazil defeated Vandal Ortagun The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
A few weeks ago, Ricky Martinez attacked Kotto Brazil with a bottle at a Miami night club. Tonight, after weeks of recovery, Brazil was back in the ring. He drew the ever-tough Vandal Ortagun for his welcome back to Mlw. Ortagun was game and took advantage of Brazil’s injury. But in the end, Brazil’s running sliced bread finishing maneuver spelled the end for Ortagun.
My Take: 2 out of 5 – There wasn’t much happening here, but Brazil looked just fine for a match made just for him.

Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Rich Swann The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
An aggressive Rich Swann took on Dragon Lee in an important middleweight bout to open the show. The two were obviously an even match in the early going. The two apparently even think alike, throwing dropkicks and then flipping to kip up at the same time. Neither man could keep the upper hand long. Lee hit an amazing reverse rana, but Swann hopped up and landed a massive spin kick Swann eventually grabbed the momentum and thought he had the match in hand. He went to the top rope for his spinning 450 he calls the Phoenix Splash. But Dragon Lee was nowhere to be found.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have… trees! Also, we have a little bit of wrestling. Like Miss Swann/Swan/Swahooon/screw it always says, “Heeeeeeeee…look-a like a man!”
Match #1: The Hart Foundation (Pillman & Smith) defeated Hughes, Dreamer The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In impromptu tag team match served as our opening bout on this week’s show. Brian Pillman Jr. and Davey Boy Smith Jr. were in the ring making fun of Barrington Hughes. Tommy Dreamer, who has had enough of Pillman and the Hart Foundation’s disrespectful attitude, immediately came to the ring and offered to team up with Hughes against the two second-generation stars. The match was quickly made by League officials. Hughes had the upper hand in the early going as both Smith and Pillman had no answers for the Caramel Colossus.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some excellent matches to get to, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Teddy Hart beat Gringo Loco, Kotto Brazil, El Hijo de La Park and Dezmond Xavier Fatal-Five Way Ladder Match for the Mlw Middleweight Championship The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Hart wasn’t even booked in the match. But in true Teddy Hart fashion, he went ahead and found a way to get in the four-way ladder match. First, he attacked Dezmond Xavier before he could enter the ring. When Kotto Brazil took exception and went to attack Hart outside the ring, Brazil got the worst of the exchange and was helped to the back. Hijo de La Park, Gringo Loco and Xavier all had opportunities to grab the belt during the course of the match,...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a couple of big time luchadors fighting in the main event, so get your eatin’ britches pulled up and ready for a big ol’ ham dinner and some stuffing with a bit of sweet potato and the cranberry sauce with cheesecake for dessert… very nice.
Match #1: Teddy Hart (with Brian Pillman) defeated Jason Cade The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
While the Hart Foundation is looking for a shot at the World Tag Team Championships, Teddy Hart has an impending match with one half of the champs, Pentagon Jr. next week in Miami. While Hart is focused on defeating Pentagon Jr. and keeping the pressure on the Lucha Bros. (Penta and brother Rey Fenix), he was faced with Jason Cade and his Bad Attitude this week on Mlw Fusion.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more great action from one of the better leagues in the sport, today.
Match #1: New Era Hart Foundation defeated The Stud Stable – Hurricane 6-Man Tag The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Teddy Hart issued an open challenge to any three grapplers in Mlw who wanted to face the New Era Hart Foundation. Col. Robert Parker was quick to respond, bringing his tag team of the Dirty Blondes and his One Man Demolition Machine Parrow the opportunity. With all six men allowed to be in the ring at once, it was a wild one at times. Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. were able to single out Parrow early in the match. While he held his own, delivering a massive chokeslam to Pillman at one point,...

Welcome to week two of the Nerdly Wrestling Awards, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a very competitive week of wrestling to get to, with one league getting a card in as an early exception to the rule. Let’s get right to the best of wrestling, from last week.
Worst Promo:
1. The Smoke Show (Impact)
2. N/A (Ring Of Honor)
3. The Wedding Of Johnny Mundo And Taya (Lucha Underground)
4. N/A (Aaa)
5. The Resurrection Of Joey Ryan (All In)
6. N/A (Major League Wrestling)
7. The IIconics Challenge Naomi (WWE)
Winner: The Wedding Of Johnny Mundo And Taya (Lucha Underground)
This was pretty lousy television no matter how you look at it. Lucha Undeground went a little too close to Vince McMahon’s bread and butter here, complete with the bad comedy that Vince likes.

Match #1: Teddy Hart defeated Vandal Ortagun The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
It was an international affair as the Canadian Teddy Hart took on Turkey’s favorite professional wrestler Vandal Ortagun. Hart attacked Ortagun from behind at the beginning of the match, after inviting Ortagun to play to the crowd on the turnbuckle. He was in control from there on out, stomping Ortagun’s face into the mat and hitting a lung-blower. In between beating up Ortagun, Hart berated the League official assigned to the match, saying he cost him a previous match with a slow count. Just after complaining about a slow count, Hart nearly destroyed Ortagun with a Ddt...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big tag team title main event to cover, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Fred Yehi/Simon Gotch (Team Filthy) defeated the Dirty Blondes (Stud Stable) The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Team Filthy got a little bit of retribution on this week’s episode, defeating the Dirty Blondes. Yehi and Gotch had the upper hand early on, but the Dirty Blondes had a numbers advantage with Col. Parker and Parrow on the outside and eventually utilized solid tag team and double-team maneuvers to gain the advantage. But Lawlor, who seconded his team to the ring, turned the tables on the Stud Stable.
As Michael Patrick attempted to bounce off the ropes for momentum for an offensive maneuver on Gotch, Lawlor smacked him with a steel chair.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get right to the action.
Match #1: New Era Hart Foundation defeated Rich Swann/Ach The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. are looking to make waves in Mlw as the New Era Hart Foundation, along with their young friend Brian Pillman Jr. Smith and Hart made waves in Mlw’s tag team division Friday night, scoring a victory over Rich Swann and Ach. Swann and Ach will be challenging the Lucha Bros. for the World Tag Team Championship next week. But one has to wonder where the Hart Foundation stands in the pecking order after their convincing – if not controversial – victory over Swann and Ach.
The Hart Foundation was in control of the contest early. But Ach was able to lock in a sharpshooter on Teddy Hart.

Match #1: Jimmy Havoc beat Brody King The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Fans weren’t likely expecting an overly technical matchup in this week’s opening match. Not with the brawling bounty hunter Brody King matching up with Jimmy Havoc, the self-proclaimed King of the Death Match. While there was plenty of pure fighting and battling all over the arena, it was actually a technical wrestling move which secured the victory for Havoc. England’s Most Dangerous Man was still sporting a bandage on his left arm from a massive laceration in a grudge match with Lawlor a couple weeks back. That grueling bout with Lawlor seemed to affect Havoc throughout this matchup. King had the upper hand for much of the match.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this week, we have a special two hour event called Battle Riot, which featured the first World Middleweight Championship match and the first Battle Riot match. Let’s just jump right in.
Match #1: Kotto Brazil beat Myron Reed The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In our opening bout, Kotto Brazil was looking to pick up another victory after recently seeing a long Mlw losing streak come to an end. The two middleweights were looking to impress League officials, knowing their bout was going on right before the highly-anticipated World Middleweight Championship match. Brazil and Reed were very evenly matched. In fact, early on they were often caught utilizing the same maneuvers at the same time, including a nasty collision when both went for a flying cross body block.

Match #1: Kiki Roberts vs Kahuna Khan – Prospect Match The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Kodokushi Death Squad Wreaks Havoc. In our opening bout, Kiki Roberts was set to face off with Kahuna Khan in a prospect match… until both men saw red. Su Yung and Zeda Zhang – the Kodokushi Death Squad unleashed violence on both prospects just after the bell. Su Yung and Zeda absolutely decimated Roberts and Khan. Yung took Khan out with a kendo stick and Zeda mauled at Roberts’ eyes. What are these two vicious women doing in Major League Wrestling?...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a good one to talk about.
Match #1: Stud Stable defeated Jason Cade, Jimmy Yuta & Rhett Giddins The following includes a recap which is courtesy of Mlw.com
The Dirty Blondes teamed up with Parrow as Col. Robert Parker brought nearly 1,000 pounds of Stud Stable beef to the ring. Meanwhile, Cade and Yuta offered up some size of their own in Rhett Giddins. Cade and Yuta bring speed and finesse, while Giddins counters the mighty Parrow’s power.
Yuta utilized that quickness early, starting the match with numerous pin attempts on Michael Patrick. With Yuta establishing early momentum, he backed into his own corner, where Cade took it upon himself to tag in unbeknownst to Yuta. But Patrick quickly tagged in Parrow — the biggest, strongest man in the match.

Welcome to this week’s Mlw: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. This week, we have is being billed as the first Boiler Room Brawl in twenty years, with Sami Callahan fighting Mvp. Let’s get right to it, with Major League Wrestling!
Match #1: Ach & Rich Swann beat Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor & Simon Gotch) – Tag Team Match The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Team Filthy seems to be alienating the entire Mlw roster. They’ve beaten down Jimmy Havoc, defiled Col. Robert Parker’s iconic hat and poked fun at many others. After “Filthy” Tom Lawlor ran his mouth while on commentary during a recent Ach vs. Rich Swann encounter, matchmakers pitted Lawlor and his Team Filthy partner Simon Gotch against the high-flying duo.
Gotch and Swann opened the action with some classic grappling. Swann finally hit the first high-impact maneuver with a dropkick, before tagging in Ach.

Match #1: Ariel Dominguez vs Jaye Skye
To my surprise, this match never got past the first second. Su Yung (Savannah Young) and Zeda Zhang ran out to obliterate the fighters before they could even make an offensive move against one another. This was probably not the best match to start this initial review out on, but it’s what we’ve got to work with. As long as they don’t do things like this too often, this angle could have a great effect on future fight cards. Needless to say, there was no winner in this match.
Verdict: Since there was no match, I can’t really rate it, can I?
Match #2: Sammy Guevara beat Fred Yehi
