Created and written by Dan Erickson, Apple TV+’s Severance gained instant success among critics after the show received 14 nominations at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2022 and won two awards for title design and musical score. While Apple announced and confirmed the renewal of the second season days before the season 1 finale aired, Ben Stiller has spilled some tea about the upcoming season.
As much as Severance fans are eager for its arrival, Stiller is also waiting as he finally answers everyone’s question: Where is Severance Season 2?
During an episode of Hey Dude…The 90s Called! Podcast by Christine Taylor and David Lascher, Stiller was asked the question and he responded, “We shut down for the length of the strike and then had to regroup and get back up to speed and do some writing work. That took a few months,...

Hey Dude cast mostly moved on from acting careers after the show, with few notable exceptions like Christine Taylor. Fans still visit the Bar None Dude Ranch location in Tuscon, which was originally the Tanque Verde Ranch. Some cast members like Kelly Brown left acting altogether due to uncomfortable experiences, focusing on other ventures.
"Where is the Hey Dude cast now?" is what some fans of the Nickelodeon Western sitcom have been wondering now that the show is over 30 years old. Hey Dude is likely a Nickelodeon sitcom that most people have forgotten about. Premiering in 1989 and lasting for five seasons, Hey Dude was the first full-length original live-action comedy on the network and the second scripted series, premiering only after The Third Eye from 1989.

Drew Barrymore is an American sweetheart. The actress has been working in front of the camera since she was a child, having made her debut with Altered States in 1980. And two years later, Barrymore found her breakthrough in Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Then in the ’90s and 2000s, she became the rom-com queen with hit after hits, especially because of her chemistry with Adam Sandler.

But did you know that there was a time when Drew Barrymore was considered to be ugly? Her production company, Flower Films’ first movie started Barrymore in the lead in a movie titled Never Been Kissed (1999). The rom-com went on to become a hit and opened a new door of adventures for the actress. But while the movie was being filmed, Barrymore had to go through some issues before she could come out on top.

Drew Barrymore recalls filming Never Been Kissed and being asked to “tone it down” because her character, Josie Grossie, was deemed “too unattractive.”
In a recent episode of her talk show The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress talked about her experience while filming the 1999 romantic comedy, the first one from her production company Flower Films.
“At that time, people were very weary of actors being producers,” Barrymore told her talk show guests Christine Taylor and David Lascher. “A lot of it wasn’t necessarily working, and it didn’t mean because you were an actor, you knew how to produce the film. And it was about the economics. So if you didn’t make the film work, and you produced it as an actor, you are likely to not be able to do it again.”

Debi Mazar has regrets. But none bigger than turning down a role in the 1998 rom-com classic The Wedding Singer.
Mazar confessed her mistake during an appearance on Friday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. Mazar said she passed on playing the supporting role of Holly Sullivan, cousin to female lead Julia.
“I wanted to do The Wedding Singer, and I got the part, and I was so excited because I really was such a huge fan of Adam [Sandler],” Mazar explained in a video call with host Drew Barrymore with guests Christine Taylor and David Lascher. “And then my agent said, you know, ‘Don’t do it, you’re not getting paid the right amount of money.’ And I was like, wait, what?”
Mazar turned it down “only because my agent told me, ‘Just, just hang on, don’t do it,'” and Taylor was cast as Holly.

Drew Barrymore is reflecting back on 20th Century Fox’s initial reaction to Never Been Kissed.
The actress-producer and talk-show host was joined by Hey, Dude…The ’90s Called! hosts Christine Taylor and David Lascher on Friday’s Drew Barrymore Show, where she recalled how the rom-com marked a big milestone for the actress, as it was the first project made under her own production company, Flower Films.
With her venture behind the camera while also being the film’s star, there was a lot of pressure on Barrymore for the film to succeed.
“Never Been Kissed was very interesting because it was our first official film for Flower Films. And at that time, people were very weary of actors being producers,” she explained. “A lot of it wasn’t necessarily working and it didn’t mean because you’re an actor, you knew how to produce a film and it was about the economics.

There’s no magical spell to convince Melissa Joan Hart’s kids to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
“I tried!” she tells Et. “They're so not into it. I think it's because it [stars] me. I'm like, 'But, guys, there's a talking cat!' They're into this show, The Thundermans, and they have a talking bunny. I'm like, 'Guys, if you like this show, you'll love Sabrina.' But then, I can't really watch it. I tried. It's, like, my childhood, but it's hard. I don't know. It's weird.”
Et caught up with the actress and her Sabrina co-stars backstage at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, where they reunited for the first time in nearly 15 years. While Hart can’t convince her three sons -- 11-year-old Mason, 9-year-old Braydon and 5-year-old Tucker-- to watch her now-classic series, some of her castmate’s kids are super into it.

Twenty five years ago this week, the sitcom Blossom debuted on NBC. Star Mayim Bialik was only 15 when the show began airing regularly on Jan. 3, 1991, and over the course of five seasons, viewers watched her character, Blossom Russo, learn a whole lot of major life lessons.
In fact, the show often made a point of prefacing these episodes with an intro voiceover from Bialik herself, who'd announce "Tonight, on a very special Blossom," just to let viewers know that they were in for some heavy stuff.
In honor of the show's silver anniversary, we're listing off the most special of those very special episodes.

David Lascher may be remembered by his fans for his numerous appearances on 90s TV sitcoms, but the actor now comes to Tribeca as a writer/director with a more poignant and personal touch in his family drama "Sister," starring Scott Reid and Barbara Hershey. Currently recurring on "Melissa and Joey" for ABC Family. My writing/producing partner, Todd Camhe, and I wrote the script for "Sister" over 6 years ago. Melissa & Joey will be giving Sabrina the Teenage Witch fans a little treat tonight as it sets the stage for a mini reunion between Melissa Joan Hart, Elisa Donovan and David Lascher. Donovan previously played the superficial and over-assertive Morgan on the ABC fantasy sitcom while Lascher played Josh, who served as a love interest to both Morgan and Hart's Sabrina.

Carley's 90s kids TV look-back comes to a Melissa Joan Hart classic, Sabrina The Teenage Witch...
“Sabrina, we have something to tell you. You see there are two realms, the natural and the supernatural and it turns out the immutable laws of physics...You’re a witch”
1996 saw a revival of big action, big budget movies taking the top spots at the box office (Independence Day, Twister, Mission: Impossible and The Rock), the Spice Girls making their mark on the UK pop charts as another, Take That, decided to call it a day.
In the September of that year, ABC began to air a supernatural sitcom which would go on for seven seasons, span a series of merchandise and introduce the TV world's best talking cat ever.

An investigation by Mother Jones accuses the Animal Planet reality show Call of the Wildman of being staged and of committing animal cruelty in faking the show. The series follows a wildlife rescuer who uses his bare hands to capture wildlife that has gotten too close to areas inhabited by humans. However, Mother Jones says that the animals have been placed for Call of the Wildman scenarios, sometimes putting the safety of the animals at risk.
With CBS’ soaps and Days of Our Lives fates secured Deadline says that the remaining soap, General Hospital, will also continue next season, noting that the genre is experiencing a resurgence, with all shows gaining viewers.
ABC has ordered a seventh season of Wipeout.
TV Guide reports that frequent Ricky Gervais-collaborator Stephen Merchant will appear on Modern Family‘s Vegas vacation episode. He’ll play a hotel butler struggling to manage the Pritchett clan’s many requests.

• Joel Edgerton is by no means a newcomer to the movie scene. In the early 2000s alone he appeared in Ned Kelly, King Arthur (as Gawain) and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. But it wasn’t till his turn as the stoic Mma fighter in 2011′s Warrior that he really entered our consciousness as a new leading man to take seriously. In addition to high-profile roles in The Great Gatsby (as Tom Buchanan) and Zero Dark Thirty, Edgerton is also slated to appear in Jeff Nichols’ Midnight Service. Now, Edgerton is in talks to play Ramses...

If you were gay and a kid in the ’90s, you were lucky to have Nickelodeon on the tube. Not only did the classic kids network dish out quirky shows that hold up well (particularly The Adventures of Pete & Pete), but it gave you bizarre, unconventional, one-of-a-kind characters who could be your friends, no matter how ridiculous or cartoonish they were. Sometimes, Nick’s characters were seemingly tailor-made for gay audience acceptance, and that’s why we’re assembled here today in this blessed Pride month: to remember 25 of Nickelodeon’s ’90s heroes (in the pre-Spongebob era) who guided us through childhood like Kirk Fogg ushering Purple Parrots past Temple Guards.

It’s another season of everyone’s favorite teenage ranchers, and though I know you thought it couldn’t get better, Hey Dude is back for more with a Season 2 release.
As I said in my review of the Season 1 release (and I went over the show pretty thoroughly, and won’t overly retread here), this is a show that makes you long for better demographically-targeted work today. While there isn’t anything about Hey Dude that exactly comes through as the next greatest thing, it’s fun and funny programming that the right age-group enjoys immensely, and remains in the category of utterly harmless as well.
By the time we get to the second season, we’re pretty comfortable with the characters, and the episodes reflect the fact. While the dynamics stay somewhat open in certain respects, we’re solidly in Ted is Ted country here. We’ve moved...

Back in March we learned that a handful of programming from the 90's would make its way to late night time slots on TeenNick for a great block of shows called The 90's Are All That. Originally starting with All That, Kenan & Kel, Doug and Clarissa Explains It All, the line-up has since expanded to include shows like Hey Arnold! and Rugrats. Now another Nickelodeon classic is joining the ranks as EW has word that Hey Dude is saddling up for some reruns. If this just didn't hit during your childhood or you just didn't have Nickelodeon as a kid, the series, which aired from 1989-1991, followed a wacky group of teenagers working at the Bar None western dude ranch and starred David Brisbin (Mr. Ernst), David Lascher (Ted), Christine Taylor (Melody), Kelly Brown (Brad), and Joe Torres (Danny). Not only is Hey Dude coming around, but the entire programming...

TeenNick’s ’90s block is just too crazy popular to air at midnight, so the cable net has decided to move it where even more 20-somethings can appreciate a good rerun when they see one. Beginning this Friday, The ’90s Are All That will move up two hours to 10 p.m., where the rotating block of beloved Nick shows will now air seven days a week.
That’s not all: Hey Dude will now have a much-coveted spot in the lineup, alongside All That, Kenan & Kel and Doug. And Stick Stickly — aka the famous popsicle stick from the ’90s — will...

The ‘90s are back, and so are your favorite shows. Last night, TeenNick premiered "The ‘90s Are All That," a statement anyone in their twenties or early thirties will most certainly agree with. Twitter has been burning up with love for the classic shows that made Nickelodeon the channel it is today. Shows like "iCarly," "Drake and Josh" and "Victorious" are wildly popular with the younger generation, but it was shows like "All That," "The Amanda Show," "Rugrats," “Clarissa Explains It All” and "Doug" that paved the way and still have a special place in our hearts.
The two-hour run of shows, which air weeknights from midnight to 2Am, is not just a block of programming, it’s a movement. Viewers can "Watch. Discuss. Obsess." on Facebook and Twitter. You can also join the ongoing conversation, keep up with the evolving schedule and catch...

Unbelievably, Hey Dude, Nickelodeon's teen-focused, dude ranch extravaganza, started airing in 1989. That isn't unbelievable because of how long ago it was, but because I find it hard to imagine I was actually that old when it came out.
The misadventures of the Bar None Ranch was the first original, live-action program on the network. Though it didn't last an especially long time in first runs, it lived on for quite a while on the network, and paved the way for more original shows by the network that soon followed - Welcome Freshmen, Clarissa Explains It All, Salute Your Shorts, Doug, Rugrats, and many others.
Thus, odd as it may sound, the show has its place in TV history, and is pretty legitimately the forefather of the teen market of shows now ruled by such treasures as iCarly.

“It’s a little wild and a little strange/When you make your home down on the range/Start your horse and come along/But you can’t get a ride if you can’t hold on.” If you don’t know the rest of these lyrics to this you’d might as well stop reading (and really analyze what you were doing with your time from 1989 to 1991), but for everyone else who understands the importance of staying away from those “man eatin’ jack rabbits and that killer cacti”: Hey Dude is finally coming to DVD!

Alberta - Spring is here and truth shall be in the air around Durham, North Carolina as the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival blossoms from April 8 - 11. This is a four day feast of prime cinema featuring real people with real lives and real issues that weren’t shaped by the beancounters in marketing. Last year’s festival featured Oscar winner The Cove and nominees Burma VJ and Food Inc. Looking through this year’s line up, there’s plenty reasons to make the trip to the Bull City if you need to escape from the unmitigated hype of Tiger Woods at the Masters.

Precious: Based On The Novel “Push” By Sapphire (Lionsgate) In-your-face, but undeniably powerful film that follows the plight of an overweight inner-city teen (Gabourey Sidbe, a real find) who must deal with an abusive mother (Mo’Nique, in a career-making turn for which she won a most-deserved Best Supporting Actress Oscar), a baby born of her abusive, and absent, father, and trying to survive day-to-day with few people to offer her help, save for a sympathetic teacher (Paula Patton) in a special ed program. Director/producer Lee Daniels, a former personal manager/producer-turned-filmmaker, brings a kitchen sink authenticity to the proceedings, along with a cast of famous powerhouse performers, who manage to disappear into their roles. Tough stuff, but not to be missed. Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay (Geoffrey Fletcher). Bonuses: Commentary by Daniels; Featurettes; Interviews with Sapphire and Daniels; Deleted scene. Widescreen. Dolby 5.1 surround.
