It’s been a bit since I’ve posted a blog, which hopefully someone out there has noticed. I had to take a brief hiatus from my daily Days viewing to get a real job (temporarily!). But I didn’t completely leave the soap world behind. For the past six week, I served as the production coordinator for a civil war feature filming in middle Tennessee produced by All My Children veteran Alan Dysert (ex-Sean Cudahy) and featuring Dynasty legend John James (ex-Jeff Colby).

Yes, that’s right. Nashville is not just home to the Dimera warehouse in which all the dead bodies of Salems finest and not-so-finest are resurrected when the storyline serves. It is also home to quite a few daytime alums. Melissa Reeves, Scott Reeves, Jonathan Jackson. So it should come as no surprise a movie filming just outside of Nashville would feature not one but two former sudsers.

If Jane Seymour has her way, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman will be making rounds again.

The titular star of the circa-’90s CBS procedural is looking to revive the series. In fact, the actress-producer tells The Messenger that the potential sequel series is already “written” and “planned out.”

Exclusive: The Daytime Emmy-winning drama series The Bay will release eighteen all new episodes daily this month and in December.

The series is an independent multi-camera drama and is produced under a non-struck SAG-AFTRA contract which has allowed the series to continue production and self distribute new content.

The final four new episodes of season 7 will air Popstar! TV starting November 14 at 4 p.m. Et / 1 p.m. Pt with encore presentations at 9 p.m. Et and 9 p.m. Pt. Replays of Season 7 will follow in its entirety every weekday up to the debut of 14 all-new episodes of season 8, beginning Monday, December 11, and will include The Bay’s 100th episode special on, December 14.

Apple TV+ today debuted the trailer for "Platonic, the upcoming 10-episode comedy series starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen and co-created, directed, and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco.

The half-hour comedy will make its global debut with the first three episodes on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes weekly, every Wednesday.

Platonic follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Rogen and Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift.

The duo's friendship becomes all-consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.

In addition to Rogen and Byrne, the ensemble cast includes Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Andrew Lopez, and Carla Gallo.

Platonic is produced by Sony Pictures Television, where Stoller's Global Solutions has an overall deal. Byrne, Rogen, Stoller, Delbanco and Conor Welch executive produce.

Exclusive: Toni Braxton is extending her decade-long relationship with Lifetime and A+E. The Grammy-winning singer, actress, executive producer and entrepreneur has entered into a production deal, in which her Braxtoni Productions will oversee and executive produce multiple projects for the network. The production company will be headquartered at Lifetime’s LA offices.

Lifetime and Braxton have had a long history of collaboration with Braxton most recently executive producing the movie, A Christmas Spark featuring the on-screen reunion of Jane Seymour and Joe Lando and the two films under the Fallen Angels Murder Club banner which Braxton starred in and executive produced in 2022. The stars of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman – Jane Seymour and Joe Lando – are reuniting to play two new characters in a modern-day holiday movie, A Christmas Spark. It's one of three new movies set to come to Lifetime during the holidays this year.

A Western drama series, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman stars Seymour, Lando, Chad Allen, Erika Flores, Jessica Bowman, and Shawn Toovey. The show ran for 150 episodes and six seasons on CBS, from 1993 until 1998. The story is set in the 1860s and follows Dr. Michaela Quinn (Seymour), a female physician from Boston who moves to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to practice medicine. After the death of her midwife, she becomes a mother figure to three children. She also falls in love with outdoorsman Byron Sully (Lando). We don’t even have the full list of movies for the 2022 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime Holiday slate, but the more names that are added, the more must-see it sounds. The latest announcement includes a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reunion with Jane Seymour and Joe Lando, Grammy winners Toni Braxton and Kirk Franklin executive producing, and Jodie Sweetin joining the Lifetime holiday family to kick off the slate on November 5. These three new films join previously announced ones including Santa Bootcamp starring Rita Moreno and directed by Melissa Joan Hart, Steppin’ into the Holidays with Mario Lopez and Jana Kramer, A New Orleans Noel starring Patti Labelle and Keshia Knight Pulliam from EP Whoopi Goldberg, and A Country Christmas Harmony with Brooke Elliott. Lifetime is upping its holiday movie game by adding three movies to its 2022 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie slate, which will include a reunion of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando in a flick executive produced by Toni Braxton.

A Christmas Spark follows a widow (Seymour) who has lost her zest for life and given up on ever finding love again. She reluctantly takes on the job of directing the town’s Christmas pageant and soon finds herself falling for her leading man (Lando), the town’s most eligible bachelor.

Lifetime is reuniting “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” co-stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando in a holiday movie this year, Variety can exclusively announce. The duo will star in “A Christmas Spark,” executive produced by Toni Braxton. Variety can also reveal that the network’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” lineup will also feature two more films on its 2022 slate: “Merry Swissmas,” starring Jodie Sweetin and Tim Rozon; and “Kirk Franklin’s the Night Before Christmas,” starring Naturi Naughton and Luke James.

Happy Thursday "Bold And The Beautiful" fans. Today's September 20, 2018 episode featured some pretty interesting and intense scenes as Bill and Ridge continued their big confrontation. Upon learning that John Blackwell (Joe Lando) had fathered another witch in the Circle, the odds on it being Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) were favorable, especially considering her mother's crush on Blackwell and Faye's own affinity for the darker side of magic. But it was innocent Diana (Shelley Hennig) who turned out to be Cassie's (Britt Robertson) half-sister. Twist!

The 'other Blackwell' has finally been revealed! Did you guess right? It's been the question on every Secret Circle fan's mind since the winter finale: Who is Cassie's (Britt Robertson) half-sibling in the circle? The answer was finally revealed at the very end of the April 19 episode -- and it was not who I was expecting. Despite Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) being positive she was John's (Joe Lando) daughter for most of the hour, the other Blackwell turned out to be none other than Diana (Shelley Hennig)! Cassie put two and two together after Diana was affected by a spell designed to cripple witches with dark magic. Personally, I'm just glad the other Blackwell isn't Adam (Thomas Dekker) or Jake (Chris Zylka). I feel like incest is the final frontier The Secret Circle just isn't ready to tackle.
