In an eventful 9-1-1 season 7 finale, Bobby (Brian Krause) has to go through with his plans to retire as leader of the 118. He's replaced by Gerrard (Brian Thompson), a recurring character largely seen in flashbacks up to this point. Gerrard made life especially difficult for a few characters during his last run as the 118's commander, and it seems he'll be doing the same for Buck.
Ahead of the 9-1-1 season 8 debut, which debuts Thursday, September 26 at 8 Pm Est on ABC, the main cast gathered as part of the PaleyFest Fall TV Preview to discuss the upcoming episodes. Stark, who plays Evan 'Buck' Buckley, talked about how his character struggles to accept Gerrard's new leadership role. Stark says that Buck is likely struggling with the change most of all. In the latest episode of “Let’s Be Clear,” the podcast started by Shannen Doherty before her passing, Rose McGowan shared her reflections on their relationship.
Doherty, who passed away at 53 in July after a prolonged battle with cancer, had a complex but ultimately reconciled relationship with McGowan, who replaced her on the TV show “Charmed” in 2001.
McGowan’s Heartfelt Expression Towards Late Shannen Doherty
McGowan, now 50, expressed her regrets about not having had more time with Doherty and not participating in the podcast with her.
She noted that their publicized relationship made their private time together all the more precious. “I do regret not doing the podcast with her, but at the same time, having that period of time just for us was really special,” McGowan said.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, McGowan acknowledged their mutual disdain for what she termed “corporate feminism”—a term she uses to describe...

Holly Marie Combs says Shannen Doherty was not expecting to die this quickly, as she had plans to make the most of her final days.
In a special episode of the Charmed rewatch podcast The House of Halliwell, Combs told her fellow castmates Brian Krause and Drew Fuller that she and Doherty thought they had “more time” together in friendship, as they had “big plans for this year.”
“She didn’t think she was going anywhere anytime soon,” Combs said. She also revealed that Doherty was going to take a trip to Italy and “was considering moving” there as well. Combs noted the irony of Fuller cutting his vacation in Italy short upon hearing the news of his former co-star’s death. “She was definitely laughing at you running through the airport,” Combs remarked.

Holly Marie Combs is paying tribute to her former Charmed co-star and longtime friend Shannen Doherty.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the actress remembered Doherty who she described as her “better half.”
“My better half of 31 years. There is a hollow in my chest and I can’t seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now. I know exactly what you would tell me to do right now. I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own. They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. They will be truthful and stand up for what is right. No matter what and zero fucks given. Your fire will live on in them and the many other Charmed ones you helped raise.”
Combs continued, “A fierce fighter til the end.

Updated Monday: Spelling Television’s Charmed was among the most successful CW series, running for eight seasons. Its original premise revolved around a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) — known as The Charmed Ones — powerful good witches who use their combined “Power of Three” to protect others.
That setup changed after the first three seasons when Doherty departed the series in one of the most talked about series exits, with the attention focusing on Dohery’s relationship with Milano. Following Doherty’s death from cancer at the age 53, Milano spoke of her co-star in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Deadline.
Additionally, Combs and several other Charmed cast members, including Rose McGowan, who succeeded Doherty on the show, posted tributes on social media.

Shannen Doherty had recorded five episodes for the Charmed rewatch podcast The House of Halliwell before her death on July 13.
In the last episode of Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear — released on Monday, July 8, before her passing — the Charmed alum had announced alongside her friend and former Charmed costar Holly Marie Combs that she was joining The House of Halliwell hosted by Combs, Brian Krause and Drew Fuller. In the podcast, the former co-stars “have an authentic and genuine conversation about each successive episode — the demon du jour, over-arching themes, outfit choices, hair choices, man choices (lol), memories from set and their individual acting process for any given scene,” as described on the podcast’s website.
The rewatch podcast, first launched in 2022, had went on a hiatus last October. The podcast was then set to be rebooted with Doherty joining. Doherty revealed that she had previously declined to join 18 months before.

Shannen Doherty had opened up about feeling “hopeful” amid a new round of chemotherapy in what would be the weeks prior to her death.
Doherty lost her long battle with cancer and died Saturday at 53.
On the June 23 episode of her Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty podcast, the actress shared her latest health update and the fear and hope that came with it. Doherty was battling stage 4 breast cancer after first being diagnosed in 2015. In a People cover story in November, she revealed the cancer had spread to her bones.
“It becomes very real in an incredibly different way, because I have no idea how long I’m gonna be on the chemo for,” she said on her podcast at the time. “I have no idea if it’s gonna be, you know, three months or if it’s gonna be six months or if we’re gonna you know,...

Shannen Doherty’s former Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed castmates remembered the actress as “loving and generous,” a “force of nature,” a “soft-hearted badass,” and more in an array of tributes shared following her death this weekend.

Shannen Doherty — the star of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Heathers” and “Charmed,” among dozens of other credits — was a gifted actor who immediately got your attention on screen. Her black hair, green eyes and slightly crooked teeth made her stand out, even as a child: No one looked like her. And then her line delivery, with her forceful, at times awkward cadence, made viewers lean in to listen. Doherty frequently looked pissed; it was easy to think that perhaps she was pissed.
Generation X lost an icon this weekend with Doherty’s death at age 53. She’s the second member of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” cast to die, after Luke Perry died of a stroke in 2019 at age 52. That’s two too many, of course, but devoted listeners of Doherty’s “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, and I am one of them, may be feeling especially confused today, and bereft. I...

"There's a person you know who is not who they say they are." Who?! Who could it be?? Level 33 Ent. has debuted an official trailer for a very cheesy crime thriller titled Deadly Justice, made by filmmaker Karyn Klein, from a screenplay written by actor Corin Nemec. This film is set for a VOD debut in April, though this really looks like made-for-tv junk. A successful female prosecutor who put away a prominent but corrupt Judge, has her life and business turned upside down by a murderous stalker after appearing on a true crime show to discuss the case. He is convinced that Judge Halstead is an innocent man and becomes hellbent on putting Holly away for good. The movie stars Kelly Sullivan, Brian Krause, Corin Nemec, Christiana Leucas, Jason London, and Marco St. John. That super specific final scene from the trailer makes me wonder if it's actually the...

"It's your basic down-and-dirty horror movie. It has one purpose, which is to scare you, and entertain you, and give you that funhouse experience where you scream your head off and then you laugh because you feel kind of silly."
So said Stephen King about "Sleepwalkers," the first screenplay he wrote directly for the screen. This was not an adaptation of one of his works — this was something he penned specifically for the movies, and that was the selling point. We weren't just getting a new Stephen King movie — it was Stephen King's first original screenplay! The poster even boasts that this is "The first Stephen King story written expressly for the scream." And what was this original tale of terror about? Incestuous werecats, of course! Throughout all eight seasons of Charmed, the Halliwell sisters — Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), and Paige (Rose McGowan) — had many love interests (to varying degrees of success). Most notable, and the two that many would argue are the best, are Leo Wyatt (Brian Krause), Piper’s long-term love interest and husband, and Phoebe’s sometimes-evil beau Cole Turner (Julian McMahon). However, and though this may be controversial, the best love interest that any of the sisters ever had is actually Henry Mitchell (Ivan Sergei), whom Paige meets, falls in love with, and marries in the final season.

Shannen Doherty is setting the record straight about her infamous firing (yes, she was fired) from The WB’s Charmed. The Dec. 18 episode of Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear podcast features the second half of her interview with sister witch Holly Marie Combs, during which they recall the “her or me” situation with Alyssa Milano that ultimately led to Doherty’s untimely exit in 2001.
“I just want to make sure everyone knows that there’s zero hate here,” Doherty begins. “The past is definitely done and over with, and it’s not even like we really talk about this at all.

Throughout all eight seasons of the original Charmed, the Halliwell sisters — Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), and Paige (Rose McGowan) — were assisted by many friendly faces. Most notable, of course, are Piper’s husband and neighborhood Whitelighter Leo Wyatt (Brian Krause) and Inspector Darryl Morris (Dorian Gregory), the latter of whom used his position to cover up many of the Halliwells’ magical antics around San Francisco. But, to step into the Charmed Ones’ lives meant opening yourself up to danger, as we see very early on with Prue’s longtime love Andy (Ted King) dying at the end of the first season. While many of the Charmed characters met a brutal and tragic fate over the seasons, there were explanations (such as pushing the story forward or actors choosing to leave). But one character in particular, Billie Jenkins (Kaley Cuoco), had a terrible, undeserved, and...

Stars: Kristos Andrews, Louis Mandylor, Brian Krause, Tom Sizemore | Written by Brandon Slagle, Robert Thompson | Directed by Brandon Slagle
Prolific director Brandon Slagle opens his latest film centring on a speeding car, as Vincent Baros (Kristos Andrews) drives from a successful score. A shootout with a pursuing car ends with the driver being shot, only to reveal his status as an undercover police officer. This results in a prison sentence for Vincent, where he is visited by his estranged father, Alex (Louis Mandylor).
Any hopes of mending their relationship are interrupted when the maximum-security prison is taken over, as terrorist mastermind Max Chandler (Brian Krause) recruits the prisoners while making demands to the hostage negotiator (Tom Sizemore). However, nobody counted on Alex’s presence, as the retired Black Ops agent puts his skills towards stopping the takeover.

Everyone’s favorite 90s stars were present at this year’s 90s Con in Connecticut, including Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause, Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.
Garth posted pictures from the con on her social media, captioning the post, “It was more like Friends Con Loved seeing some familiar and friendly faces this weekend.”
>Watch Ian Zierling’s uBIO Now!
The 90210 star took selfies with costars Spelling, Priestley and Ziering, while noticeably not having one with Doherty. For other stars Garth didn’t get the chance to visit – such as Kathy Najimy, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Holly Marie Combs – she found and took pictures with banners of them.
People were quick to speculate about the absence of Doherty in person or on a banner, but Garth quickly shut all rumors down.
“Ok. everyone needs to take a deep breath…” Garth wrote in a second post about the Con.

Leo Wyatt's (Brian Krause) role as a Whitelighter helped to expand the lore of Charmed, but how he became a Whitelighter and what that actually meant was often unclear. The supernatural drama series followed the Halliwell witch sisters as they fought against evil, and Leo's role as their Whitelighter was often a major factor in how they got out of potentially deadly situations. Leo was the ultimate support figure, providing the Charmed Ones with the information, encouragement, and strength they needed to fight warlocks and demons on a daily basis.
While the main characters dated demons a lot in Charmed, the only relationship that came close to rivaling the one between the Halliwell sisters was the romance between Leo and Piper (Holly Marie Combs). Whitelighters and witches were not allowed to be together, which meant that Leo and Piper had to fight for their forbidden love constantly, both from...

In this edition of The Silver Lining, we’ll be tackling Mick Garris and Stephen King’s unfairly maligned Sleepwalkers!
For every successful Stephen King adaptation, there are usually a handful of lesser projects lurking in its shadow. From Dreamcatcher to Lawnmower Man, the King of Horror actually has quite a few box-office bombs under his belt, with some fans justifying this by claiming that adaptations miss out on crucial inner monologues and emotional subtext. However, there is one Stephen King project that suggests that there might be more to the middling reception of some of these movies than the adaptational process.
Naturally, I’m referring to Mick Garris’ Sleepwalkers, the one and only time that Stephen King wrote a story specifically for the big screen. Back in the early 90s, King’s tales were already sizzling hot properties at movie studios, so Columbia Pictures immediately accepted King’s offer...

The Roku Channel, which entered the original programming realm this year with its acquisition of shows from failed streaming startup Quibi, has slated the premiere of action drama Cypher.
The series will have its premiere on March 19 in the U.S. and Canada. Roku emphasized that the show is a licensed program, not, in its view, a true original since it was produced elsewhere and owned by a third party during production.
Still, the Roku run will be the first appearance for the seven-episode show on any domestic platform. It will be free for viewers on the Roku Channel, the ad-supported outlet that Roku recently said has reach to households with 63 million people. The channel’s viewership has doubled over the past year.

Low budget police drama meets camp biblical nonsense – demons and the horsemen of the apocalypse. To me The Demonologist sounds like a lot of fun (albeit the title sounds like a failed course from a failing university).
I have a soft spot for under paid, over worked (fictional) professional monster hunters. Be they John Constantine (in the comics), Giles from Buffy or Harry Dresden (in the books). I love these grumpy, surly individuals that ultimately end up doing the right thing when the stakes are stacked high enough against them.
Which takes us nicely into talking about The Demonologist. This is very much an origin story. Our “Demonologist” starts out as just another cliched,...

Sleepwalkers fits right in with the crazy, melodramatic movies that came out of the early ‘90s, like John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness or Tobe Hooper’s The Mangler. What Garris brings to King’s original screenplay (not based on one of his previous stories) is an ability to blend elements of the morose and...
