Wasteland is a film from director Kantz, which is reminiscent of the '80s post apocalyptic films of old. In the '80s there seemed to be this focus on a destroyed and dangerous landscapes as seen in films like

With Wasteland, global catastrophes come about through environmental hazards e.g. pollutants, overpopulation. In this devolving landscape "religious zealots" fight against a group of cannibals and mutants for survival.
