Angus T. Jones had a hard time reconciling his devout Christian faith with his bawdy CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, so he left the show. But now the former child star has seemingly left organized religion and is reconsidering his decision to say goodbye to stardom.
“I was very confident at that time,” Jones, 23, says in the current issue of People of his decision to leave Men in 2013 after telling Seventh-Day Adventist filmmaker Christopher Hudson, “You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that.”

For more than a decade, Two and a Half Men‘s Angus T. Jones was one of the most recognizable (and well-paid) faces on TV.
But just two years later, after 10 seasons of starring as Jake — the young and impressionable son of Jon Cryer’s character on the CBS sitcom — Jones, 23, was ready to leave his show and say goodbye to stardom.
“If you’d asked me a few years ago if I wanted to get back involved in the industry, I would have said, ‘No. Not at all,’ ” he says in the current issue of People.

The Criterion Collection continues to impress through the remarkable range of what it offers cineastes on a monthly basis. Look at the highlights of their May 2014 Blu-ray offerings, all currently available in stores and for online order. What on Earth do “Overlord,” “Like Someone in Love,” and “Red River” have in common?
One is set in World War II, one during the Chisholm Trail, and one in present day. One is British, one defiantly American, and one is Japanese. Abbas Kiarostami really couldn’t have more distinctly different cinematic intentions than Howard Hawks. And yet Criterion wisely understands that film lovers love all different kinds of film. Pick your favorite.
For me, the best film is “Like Someone in Love,” the best release is “Red River.” “Overlord” remains an interesting curiosity, a film that blends archival footage and fictional filmmaking to achieve something unique. Directed by Stuart Cooper and shot...

Angus T. Jones’ plea to be released from his contract on “Two and a Half Men” came as little surprise to the managers and families of child performers. Jones’ comments in an interview with Alabama-based Christian doomsday preacher Christopher Hudson have sparked a backlash against the actor. In the lengthy interview, Jones said his work on the long-running CBS series “means nothing.” He addressed the viewers directly. “If you watch ‘Two and a Half Men’ please stop watching ‘Two and a Half Men.’ I’m on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth,” he said. Jones said his views had been shaped by his joining a Los Angeles–area Seventh-day Adventist Church. “I walked in and sat down kind of in the back. The message that the pastor was preaching that day was tailor-made for me.

Angus T. Jones might have admitted "I'm on 'Two and a Half Men,' and I don't want to be on it" during his recent religious testimony proclaiming himself a supporter of the Forerunner, but that doesn't mean he's looking to quit the hit CBS series either. The 19-year-old actor issued an apology to the cast and crew saying his statements against the show weren't supposed to be an attack against them, and now it's being reported that he will stay on "Two and a Half Men" until his contract runs out.
Considering Jones's contract expires at the end of this season, he won't have that much longer to wait. He's already scheduled not to appear in the next two episodes of the show that are filming before the holiday hiatus, so the situation could blow over by the time he has to return to set.

Angus T. Jones isn't the only TV star who can slam his own show. Rainn Wilson of "The Office" may have topped the "Two and a Half Men" kid with a parody video the effectively points out the ridiculousness of this whole situation.
If you have been following celebrity or TV news at all over the past few days, you should know by know that Jones released a video of himself in which he called "Two and a Half Men" filth that no one should watch. Apparently, bad sitcoms are antithetical to Jones' new religion, a Seventh-Day Adventist group led by a man called Forerunner. The actor has since apologized for any slight on the show's cast and crew, but his overall opinions have not publicly changed.
Now it's time for Rainn Wilson to get in on the "filth" train. Wilson appears in his own slam video sitting next to his "Office" co-star,...

Apparently "Two and a Half Men" isn't the only "filth" on TV.The guys of "The Office" take aim at Angus T. Jones' wild, religious outburst against his show in a new spoof video for shameless (but hilarious) self-promotion. In the new video, Rainn Wilson (Dwight) channels Angus -- asking fans to turn off their TVs and not to watch the final season of his own show.Rainn, like Jones, call his show “filth” and explains how watching “The Office” can rot your brain … while plugging the NBC comedy's scheduled night and time.Craig Robinson, who plays Darryl, also pulls off a pretty great impersonation of the young star’s religious mentor, Christopher Hudson – making sure to look away from the camera throughout Rainn’s rant. If you haven’t seen the 19-year-old actor’s religious tirade regarding “Two and a Half Men,” check out the video below. Read...

We officially have a new meme. As the world watches the fallout from Angus T. Jones' video calling his show Two and a Half Men "filth" and begging viewers to turn it off, Rainn Wilson and Craig Robinson have already started to capitalize on the bizarre circumstances to help their own show. Two pair appear in a mock video to support NBC's The Office, with Wilson playing the role of Jones and Robinson filling in as the silent onlooker, Jones' mentor and Forerunner Chronicles leader Christopher Hudson. "Dwight from The Office is nothing," Wilson quips. "The Office is nothing.

Just recently a video appeared online showing Angus T Jones, who plays Jake Harper on "Two and a Half Men," stating "please stop watching [the show] and filling your head with filth." The actor is one of the highest paid in TV, earning $350,000 per episode. Jones recently found religion and is now basing the show's message and entertainment in general on what he's been taught. Unfortunately, the person teaching him (who also appears in the video) has a bizarre background, filled with crazy statements. The person is Christopher Hudson, who gained notice for publishing a documentary called "The Jay-z Deception," in which he accused the rapper of being a Freemason who released his "Blueprint" albums to celebrate his rise through the ranks of the organization and his links with Satan. Apparently Kanye West and Rihanna are also part of the conspiracy. Hudson, who turned to religion after experimenting with drugs, also claims...

Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones have taken their anti-Two and a Half Men feelings in very different directions. Jones, known for his role as half-man Jake Harper, recently called the CBS show "filth" in a religious YouTube testimonial for Forerunner Chronicles. Christopher Hudson, the religious leader at the helm of the Seventh-day Adventist ministry, told E! News Tuesday that Jones seems to be "a very sincere young man." The 19-year-old "has been studying the Bible in depth for himself for at least a year," Hudson added. Hudson, whose ministries are based in Alabama and have been posting YouTube videos since 2006, met Jones through a mutual acquaintance. "He has a love for the...

The emergence of Angus T. Jones' video testimonial for religious group the Forerunner Chronicles -- in which he trashed Two and a Half Men as "filth" and said he no longer wanted to act on the CBS sitcom -- came as a shock. But the man behind the Christian organization has long been at odds with Hollywood, pop culture and liberal America. Christopher Hudson, who calls himself the Forerunner, is a Seventh-day Adventist who is famous for the fiery sermons he gives in YouTube videos. In 2009, he gained notice for publishing online a documentary called The Jay-z Deception, in
