This is the tear-jerking moment that the residents of Emmerdale gather to pay their final respects to their dear friend and relative Jack Sugden. The hour-long commemorative episode also marks a year since the late Clive Hornby's final appearance in the rural serial drama as Jack Sugden, before he was forced to take a break from the show due to illness. The 63-year-old actor passed away in July last year. Former Emmerdale actors Sheila Mercier and Karl Davies - Annie and Robert Sugden in the show - both agreed to return for the tribute episode, which mirrors the soap's first ever episode featuring the funeral of Jack Sugden's father Jacob in 1972. Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher has paid tribute to his late co-star Clive Hornby, describing him as a "second father". Kelvin formed a close bond with Clive soon after he joined the ITV1 soap in 1996. Their relationship mirrored the scenes they were filming for the show, which saw Fletcher's wayward character Andy taken in by kindly Jack Sugden, played by Hornby. Clive died at the age of 63 earlier this month following a period of ill health. He had been forced to take a break from the soap at the beginning of this year. "It's not really hit me yet. There is such a massive void there," Kelvin told The Mirror. "The minute he went there was a huge hole. There are certain scenes now that you think he should be in (more)...
