- André Hodeir was born on January 22, 1921 in Paris, France. He was a composer, known for Ça va être ta fête (1960), L'écume des jours (1968) and Beau masque (1972). He died on November 1, 2011 in Le Chesnay, Yvelines, France.
- Classically trained as violinist and composer, student of Olivier Messiaen at the Conservatoire de Paris. Later took up jazz composition and arranging. Co-founded the Jazz Groupe de Paris in 1954. Worked on a number of film scores and led his own orchestra in the 1960's.
