While some General Hospital characters have become legends in Port Charles, others slipped away without getting a chance to live out their full potential.
Dex
The latest to join this group of lost potential characters is Dex (ex-Evan Hofer), who just became Gh’s second mysterious death recently after already surviving a stab wound. Port Charles has yet to react to the rookie cop’s unexpected death, with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Anna (Finola Hughes) being the first to find out.
Since showing up in Port Charles in 2022 and becoming a mini Jason (Steve Burton) while working for Sonny (Maurice Benard), Dex was thrown one curve ball after another. From getting hung from a meat hook to secretly working for Michael (Chad Duell) to joining to the Pcpd, Dex’s present still wasn’t as bad as his past. Dex often confided in Joss about his upbringing with abusive brothers,...

'Survivor's' Hasselbeck joins 'View'

NEW YORK -- Elisabeth Filarski Hasselbeck, a contestant on CBS' Survivor: The Australian Outback has been named a co-host on ABC's The View after the daytime show held lengthy on-air tryouts to fill its vacancy. View executive producer Barbara Walters made the announcement on air Monday with the rest of the co-hosts. In a Survivor-style introduction, the tribal council of View co-hosts held up signs unanimously bearing the name Elisabeth on it, confirming her victory over finalists Rachel Campos, from MTV's The Real World: San Francisco, and Erin Hershey Presley, who appeared on the ABC daytime drama Port Charles. Hasselbeck, 26, a shoe designer and wife of Washington Redskins quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, will begin her duties today. "We were looking for someone who stands out; you have to care what comes out of her mouth, and we felt Elisabeth had all those things plus youthful vitality -- and it doesn't hurt that she's a pretty girl," View executive producer Bill Geddie said after the show. Hasselbeck, repped by ICM, was host of the Style Channel's The Look for Less, which helps viewers find designer looks at bargain prices.
