In a somewhat unexpected announcement, Hulu has revealed that the forthcoming sixth season of its hit animated comedy Solar Opposites will be the show’s final season. That’s right, the sun is about to set on the beloved adult animation series which will return for its final episodes this fall on Hulu.

At this time, no premiere date has been set for when the final season will arrive and it remains unclear why exactly Hulu has chosen to bring the show to an end after six seasons.

Apple TV+ has officially unveiled the first teaser and images for the second season of The Buccaneers, the award-winning costume drama that returns to the streamer on June 18. The show is inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s novel of the same name, which remains unfinished. The Buccaneers Season 2 reunites stars Kristen Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, Mia Threapleton, Josie Totah, and Imogen Waterhouse with Christina Hendricks, while also introducing Leighton Meester, who will make her debut in the series. The Buccaneers Season 2 will premiere one episode on June 18, and then follow the typical weekly release model until it concludes in what will surely be an epic finale on August 6. Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, Josh Dylan, and Barney Fishwick will also star in Season 2.

The American girl revolution in England will continue this summer, when The Buccaneers Season 2 premieres with its first episode on Wednesday, June 18, on Apple TV+, the streamer has announced. One installment will be released every Wednesday until the season finale on Aug. 6.

Additionally, Apple TV+ unveiled several new images from the upcoming season, including a first look at new cast member Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl, Single Parents) as Nell.

Mark Duplass admits that when he got approached about starring in Hulu’s Natalia Grace drama “Good American Family,” he was “very skeptical.”

“Look, there’s a documentary, there’s a movie called ‘Orphan’ that has similar themes, it’s been in the press. Why do we need another ripped from the headlines story?” Duplass told Variety Thursday night at the show’s Los Angeles premiere (and FYC event) at the Directors Guild Theater.

But after Duplass sat down with showrunners Katie Robbins and Sarah Sutherland to hear their idea of telling multiple different perspectives to explore hidden biases, he found the “Rashomon” type-structure compelling. “That was really exciting for me because it hasn’t really been seen in the miniseries format.”

The eight-episode Hulu series tells the true story of married couple Kristine (Ellen Pompeo) and Michael Barnett (Duplass), as they adopt Natalia Grace (Imogen Faith Reid), a young girl from Ukraine with dwarfism.

Hulu jumpstarted its Emmys campaign for the limited series Good American Family on Thursday — rolling out the red carpet for a special premiere at the Directors Guild of America Theater Complex in Los Angeles. The beloved Grey’s Anatomy actress stepped out in a white one-sleeve dress at the premiere of her new Hulu limited series Good American Family on Thursday (March 13) at the DGA Theater in New York City.

Ellen was joined at the event by co-stars Mark Duplass, Imogen Faith Reid, Christina Hendricks, Dule Hill, Sarayu Blue, Kim Shaw, and Jerod Haynes.

The new show tells the story of Natalia Grace, a girl with a rare form of dwarfism who was adopted by a Midwestern couple and later accused of being an adult women.

Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is heading to Series Mania. The six-time Emmy nominated actress will be promoting Chris O’Dowd’s Small Town, Big Story, in which she stars opposite Paddy Considine. Having just launched on Sky, the show about a Hollywood producer who returns to a small Northern Irish town will be given its international premiere at Series Mania.
