Randal Malone, who showed up in dozens of low-budget movies and played a “film star” on the 1990s MTV dating game show Singled Out, has died. He was 66.

Malone died Sunday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys after a long battle with kidney disease, his family announced.

Since 2004, Malone served as president of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, a charitable organization that was founded in 1936 and remains one of the longest-running groups of its kind.

While signing autographs to promote Sunset After Dark (1996), in which he appeared alongside former child star Margaret O’Brien and onetime silent-film star Anita Page, Malone was spotted by producer Keven Undergaro.

The vast repository of content on Comedy Central’s website — dating back 25 years — has been removed by parent company Paramount Global, in a move to push fans to Paramount+.

The site, at comedycentral.com, has until now hosted clips from all episodes of “The Daily Show” since 1999, as well as segments from the full 11-season run of Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report,” among other video content. Thousands of “Daily Show” clips remain free to watch on YouTube, but those go back only to 2015.

The move to scrub content from Comedy Central comes after Paramount similarly pulled the full archive of MTV News from the internet on Monday, as well as articles from CMT.

“After Midnight,” the late night show hosted by comedian Taylor Tomlinson, has been renewed for its second season at CBS.

The series is a revival of “@Midnight,” which was hosted by Chris Hardwick on Comedy Central from 2013 to 2017. Like its predecessor, Tomlinson’s show features celebrity guests as they compete in pop culture and internet trivia games. “After Midnight” premiered in January and airs directly after “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” with Colbert serving as an executive producer.

Tomlinson recently spoke to Variety about vying for a Season 2 renewal — and what that would mean for the TV landscape, given that she’s currently the only female host in late night TV.

NBC’s 2024 summer lineup includes new episodes of Password, The Wall, and Weakest Link, along with the season 19 premiere of America’s Got Talent. The summer also serves up the season 16 premiere of American Ninja Warrior hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila.

More importantly, NBC’s the broadcast host of the 2024 Olympic Games taking place in Paris from July 26th through August 11th. The network plans to air at least nine hours of Olympic coverage each day. NBC’s 19th Olympic Games will mark the first in which Peacock will stream every sport and event, including the 329 medal events.
