Star Trek: The Next Generation season 3, episode 15, "Yesterday's Enterprise" remains one of the series' most highly acclaimed episodes, but there are some fascinating things many viewers may not know about this iconic story. "Yesterday's Enterprise" begins like any other episode of Tng, with the USS Enterprise-d encountering a seemingly inexplicable galactic phenomenon. Suddenly, the battle-damaged USS Enterprise-c emerges from a wormhole, and everything on the Enterprise-d changes. Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) now sits on a darkly lit bridge and Lt. Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby) stands at the tactical station.
Captain Picard then meets the injured Captain Rachel Garrett (Tricia O'Neil) of the USS Enterprise-c, informing her that she and her ship have journeyed 22 years into the future. The United Federation of Planets is now at war with the Klingons a conflict even Captain Picard fears they will soon lose which forces Garrett to make an impossible decision. With compelling...

Star Trek: Voyager and Deep Space Nine characters occasionally crossed over, such as Lt. Tuvok and Dr. Lewis Zimmerman. Commander Chakotay's Maquis background connects both series, but he isn't in DS9. Admiral Chekote and Commander Chakotay share similar names, but it's not a relation; it's a coincidence or possibly an in-universe explanation.
Is Star Trek: Voyager's Commander Chakotay (Robert Beltran) in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine? It's not outside the realm of possibility, because Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine overlapped for six years in the Star Trek timeline. Star Trek: Voyager's Delta Quadrant setting should prevent Voyager characters from appearing in Deep Space Nine and vice versa, but Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: DS9 crossovers did happen, like Lt. Tuvok (Tim Russ) from the Mirror Universe in DS9 season 3, episode 19, "Through the Looking Glass", and Voyager's Robert Picardo as Emh engineer Dr. Lewis...

There’s one point late in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 that stands out — nay, is almost stunning — for actually being underplayed. Ian (John Corbett), in the middle of a utilitarian exchange of pleasantries with his ultra-reserved Wasp father (Bruce Gray), tentatively reaches for a deeper connection, offering to be available to “just talk or whatever” if he ever wants to. It’s left unsaid but obvious that spending so much time around the extraordinarily close family of his wife, Toula (Nia Vardalos), has made Ian long, at least a little bit, for that kind of casual intimacy with his own relatives. It’s a nice little exchange that speaks better for this film’s affectionate vision of Greek family life than most of its boisterous comedy scenes.

It seems as though every cult comedy of yesteryear is making a comeback in some form, whether it’s a TV offshoot or full feature-length movie in the vein of Zoolander 2. One of those forgotten gems is Joel Zwick’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
First released in 2002, the comedy flick introduced us to the Portokalos family in all of their weird and wacky glory, and now Universal is getting the gang back together for a bona fide reunion. If last month’s debutant trailer showcased a bigger, fatter and even more outrageous ceremony, then today’s poster for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 teases the return of a cultural phenomenon.
Kirk Jones of Nanny McPhee fame is behind the lens for this one, which will largely orbit around the character of Toula (Nia Vardalos) coming to terms with her prized daughter making a life for herself in Paris.

Will Ferrell’s Anchorman 2, Monsters: University and – whisper it – Dumb and Dumber To, are just some examples of comedy sequels that arrived long after the release of their respective original. It’s a feat that’s proven to be a difficult butterfly to pin, with each of the aforementioned trio arriving to varying degrees of financial and critical success. Even still, that has in no way quelled the enthusiasm for the practice, and Ben Stiller’s Zoolander 2 won’t be the only follow-up arriving in 2016 after a long time spent flirting with development.
After a full 13 years, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is ready to dance its way onto the silver screen, and today brings forth our very first look at the long-in-development sequel. Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee) is behind the lens for this one, aiming to create an experience that is appropriately “bigger and fatter” than the cult original.

Last May, it was announced that My Big Fat Greek Wedding stars Nia Vardalos and John Corbett will reprise their roles as Toula an Ian in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. We haven't heard anything about the sequel since then, but today, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer and photos, while announcing the sequel will hit theaters on March 25, 2016. That release date puts My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 up against the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, although it's unlikely there is much crossover between both of these wildly different groups of fans.

Thirteen years ago, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was all anybody could talk about. The tiny film made for $5 million was a ridiculously huge smash hit, earning $241 million domestic, on its way to a $386 million worldwide. Those are the kind of numbers you expect from something with branding and toys built in, not from a comedy with zero A-list stars. Well, everyone is hoping magic can happen again as the gang is back for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" and the first trailer has arrived. Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, Lainie Kazan, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone, Elena Kampouris, Alex Wolff, Louis Mandylor, Bess Meisler, Bruce Gray, Fiona Reid, Ian Gomez, Jayne Eastwood, Mark Margolis, Andrea Martin, and Michael Constantine are some of the new and old faces that return in the film that catches up with the family some years later where, you guessed it, another wedding will have be mounted.

Director: Greg Beeman.
Writer: Mark Verheiden and Robert Rodat.
Cast: Noah Wyle, Colin Cunningham, Moon Bloodgood, and Will Patton.
The final episode for "Falling Skies" debuted August 7th after "Mutiny." This latest episode was titled "Eight Hours" and in this finale, Weaver's (Will Patton) attack moves forward. As well, Ben (Connor Jessup) helps Scott (Bruce Gray) to jam the aliens' radio frequencies. An alien attack occurs at the high school, while Rick (Daniyah Ysrayl) proves himself to be a confederate for the enemy. Finally some action occurred to break up the melodrama and this last episode almost proved to be anti-climactic. If not for Tom Mason's (Noah Wyle) lucky shot on the terrordome in Boston, there would have been no actual footage shown of the 2nd Mass' attack.
Tom is left behind by Weaver to protect the civilians at the local high school. However, being behind the front lines is still risky.

Lets face it, as television viewers we grow attached to the gay characters that resonate with us on the small screen, and with the actors that bring life to these roles. We also find ourselves growing fond of out-and-proud actors that have opted to play it straight thats why its called acting, people and vice versa.
