Agatha All Along is one of the biggest shows of the fall. In terms of hype and excitement, it feels like one of the biggest of Marvel's Disney+ shows since the streaming service launched in 2019.
After fans watched all nine episodes of Agatha All Along, there's going to be a long wait until Agatha All Along season 2 (or whatever iteration that continues this story) hits Disney+. That's the bad news. The good news is two-fold. It sure sounds like Agatha All Along season 2 is going to happen. Disney and Marvel haven't officially confirmed the series will be back, but showrunner Jac Schaeffer sure made it sound like more Agatha is on the way after that incredible season 1 ending and finale, via Marvel.
And, on top of that, we have a lot of good and witchy shows like Agatha All Along while we wait for season 2.
Let's get the list started...

Piglets series 2 has been confirmed by ITV, with the cast and crew returning for a new bunch of episodes. More here.
Green Wing is one of the most memorable comedies of the early 2000s. Following the trials and tribulations of the staff who populate East Hampton Hospital, the writing was frequently silly and surreal, and it featured star making turns from the likes of Tamsin Greig, Stephen Mangan and Michelle Gomez.
Underrated comedy Campus followed a similar scenario, this time in the fictional Kirke University, where Andy Nyman’s domineering don Jonty De Wolfe ruled with an iron fist. That series has also built up quite a fanbase, and earlier this year the same creative team made police sitcom Piglets. Which is what brought us to here.
While critical reception was less than stellar, the series achieved good viewing figures and according to the British Comedy Guide, cast member Ricky...

With legal issues to work out, a Doctor Who and Star Trek crossover may not happen, but casting beloved Doctors and companions is an easier alternative. Casting Doctor Who stars like Sylvester McCoy and Michelle Gomez in Star Trek shows can attract a wider audience. Star Trek is the one franchise David Tennant hasn't starred in, making him suitable for various roles in the franchise.
Although a crossover with Doctor Who may be a legal and logistical nightmare to achieve, there's no reason that Star Trek can't cast some beloved Doctor and companion actors. At a recent San Diego Comic-Con panel with Star Trek's Alex Kurtzman, Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies stated that both franchises "must" get together. While conceding that there were a lot of legal issues to work out, Rtd urged fans of Doctor Who and Star Trek to help make it happen by sharing fan...

“Doctor Who’s” Ncuti Gatwa just faced off against the franchise’s wackiest, most over-the-top villain yet. And that was before they started singing.
Enter “RuPaul’s Drag Race” superstar Jinkx Monsoon as Maestro.
Those familiar with Monsoon’s game wouldn’t expect anything else from her: the beloved two-time “Drag Race” winner is currently taking Broadway by storm, wowing audiences as Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors” opposite Corbin Bleu. This summer, she will return to “Chicago,” reprising her role as Mama Morton after she became the cast’s first drag performer in 2023.
And she’s not done dreaming big — Monsoon’s still got her sights set on becoming a Disney Villain one day. “I’m available! People know how to get in contact with me. I got a great laugh, and I can sing. I was raised by Ursula the sea witch,” she says.

Cult classic sitcom Green Wing has been resurrected as a podcast with the original cast and creative team.
Back in 2004, fresh from the success of sketch show Smack The Pony, writer Victoria Pile created Green Wing, a sitcom set in a hospital.
With an ensemble cast that included Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan – who would later reunite to star opposite Matt LeBlanc in Episodes – the comedy is helped enormously by committed clowning the cast, particularly Mark Heap and Michelle Gomez. The show ran for two series from 2004 to 2006 and, in a move more in common with American sitcoms, had a large pool of writers.
After the show ended, the same creative team made the terrific University comedy Campus in 2009, which despite only running for one series is well worth tracking down, especially for the tour de force performance from Andy Nyman as megalomaniacal monster and Vice Chancellor Jonty De Wolfe.

An off-hand comment by Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) could tease the return of the Master in Ncuti Gatwa's first season of Doctor Who. The Master (Sacha Dhawan) was last seen in "The Power of the Doctor", so it's unlikely that Russell T Davies would bring them back so soon, especially in the same run of episodes as the Toymaker. Piglets, a new series from the writers of Green Wing, is heading to Itvx next year, and the first details of the new comedy have just landed.
That series has also built up quite a fanbase, and rightly so. Now? There’s more for that fanbase to look forward to as well.
That’s because the same creative team have now created Piglets, which heads to Itvx next year. The first details...

Doom Patrol, the quirkiest and biggest misfit superhero series on television, has come to an end with its fourth and final season, effectively closing out an entire era for Dctv on Max. The series finale, "Done Patrol," quickly resolves the showdown with the omnipotent supervillain Immortus and a horde of ravenous zombified were-butts. More than going for an epic final battle and expected superhero action for the genre, Doom Patrol opts for a more character-focused emotional ending to close out its run. And given how off-beat and subversive the fan-favorite personalities of Doom Patrol are, this change of pace falls in line with the tone of the series overall.
To facilitate the revival of Immortus, the Doom Patrol's source of immortality was stolen from them, causing each core team member to age to their natural physical appearances rapidly. With Rita Farr on her literal deathbed from her sudden advancing age,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Doom Patrol series finale.] Well, that seemed like a definite ending to Doom Patrol… for some of the characters, at least. The Max Original ended with Cliff (Brendan Fraser) dying, Rita (April Bowlby) in the afterlife, Larry (Matt Bomer) and Rama (Sendhil Ramamurthy) becoming the new sun (as the penultimate episode teased), Jane (Diane Guerrero) figuring things out and the entire underground now existing all at once as Kay as she joins Casey (Madeline Zima) in traveling in the spaceship, Vic (Joivan Wade) Cyborg 2.0 and helping Deric (Elijah Rashad Reed) with his class, and Rouge (Michelle Gomez) burning down the Ant Farm. Showrunner Jeremy Carver takes us inside the finale below. When we spoke about the musical episode, you said that this finale is the end of a chapter. So at what point in the series did you realize you wanted this chapter to end with the Doom Patrol going...

It’s almost the end of the line for Doom Patrol, with the final season's penultimate episode here and positioning the superhero team for their grand finale on Max. Taking a tour down memory lane with familiar faces resurfacing along the way, the episode leans into a low-key, understated feel despite its hard science-fiction premise. Titled "Portal Patrol," the episode gives one first season character the send-off they deserved earlier in the series while nudging the narrative closer to the finish line.
With Immortus presenting a danger that spans time and space while the team's leader, Rita Farr, rapidly ages toward her impending death, the rest of the team scrambles to find a way to save her. This leads them to travel back in time through strange portals, arriving at different points of the team's history as they're separated across the timeline and left to fend for themselves. As Laura...

Doom Patrol enters the home stretch for its final few episodes, with the superheroes confronting their own mortality head-on as the fight against Immortus continues. The fourth season's tenth episode, titled "Tomb Patrol," is the thematic hangover after the all-out, effusive party that was the preceding musical episode. Somber without being overly self-serious, the episode is powered by the strength of its main cast while managing to maintain a self-aware sense of humor.
With the musical utopia created by Immortus exposed and dissolved by the Doom Patrol, the heroes rapidly approach dying from their renewed advanced ages, particularly Rita Farr. Madame Rouge decides to confer with Immortus directly about restoring her friends' youth and vitality while the rest of the team prepares to say goodbye to their one-time leader. After the mixed critical reaction and unspectacular ratings of Chris Chibnall's era, Russell T Davies' return as showrunner signals a brave new era of Doctor Who. While villains from Chris Chibnall's era were divisive, one stands out as a highlight and should be brought back in future seasons. This villain has the potential to be even better under Russell T Davies' guidance, providing scripts and stories worthy of their unique performance.
The return of Russell T Davies as showrunner signals a brave new era of Doctor Who, and while carryovers from Chris Chibnall's tenure are unlikely, one villain deserves to keep their place. Chris Chibnall oversaw arguably the most divisive period of Doctor Who's history, and while the showrunner made plenty of positive changes - increased diversity in the Tardis, for example - other decisions contributed to mixed critical reaction and unspectacular ratings. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 9, “Immortimas Patrol.”] Unsurprisingly, Doom Patrol pulls off a musical episode that’s not only very entertaining but also, to use showrunner and executive producer Jeremy Carver‘s own term, “indelicate” at times — and full of catchy songs. In other words, everything you love about this weird and wild show? This episode takes it up to another level and somehow makes it better. It all stems from Immortus (Charity Cervantes) creating an alternate reality in which she’s constantly adored (Immortimas Day is celebrated every day). Rouge (Michelle Gomez) is the first to realize something’s off; then she clues the others — Larry (Matt Bomer), Cliff (Brendan Fraser), Jane (Diane Guerrero), Vic (Joivan Wade), and Rita (April Bowlby) — in. Some are less willing to leave behind what seems like a better world, but by the end, they are back in their reality. “We hope a lot of...

The second part of Doom Patrol's mid-season premiere, the eighth from the Max original series' fourth and final season, is the strongest installment of the dual-episode return after a lengthy hiatus. Titled "Fame Patrol," the episode places the superhero team back in the real world and face-to-face with the season's primary antagonist, Immortus. With the scope heightened and the team needing to rally one more time to defeat this new supervillain and save the day, "Fame Patrol" feels like Doom Patrol getting back to business and doing what it does best as it begins the march to its finale.
With Immortus successfully revived by the devious cult in her honor, she and the Doom Patrol are freed from the pocket dimension ruled by the Scissormen and back in their usual stomping grounds of Cloverton, Ohio. As the team's rescue is celebrated by the town, Immortus becomes murderously jealous of...

Buffy the Vampire Slayer still remains one of the most popular supernatural shows even 20 years after its end, praised for its strong female lead. Streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have been commissioning more supernatural shows in recent years, although they vary from the tone of Buffy. Shows like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Riverdale, Stranger Things, and others can help satisfy the appetite for supernatural dramas.
Twenty years after the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the show still stands proud as one of the most memorable supernatural shows of all time. Even after Buffy ended after seven seasons in 2003, the franchise saw continued popularity with its spin-off Angel, which concluded the year after. Doom Patrol showrunner Jeremy Carver has promised fans that the back half of Season 4 will provide closure for the beloved ragtag team of heroes.
Speaking with TVLine, Carver revealed that they "had a strong-enough feeling going into the season that Season 4 might be our last. Our No. 1 priority was going out on our terms, with a satisfying ending and — most importantly — character arcs that felt considered, earned and unrushed." However, Carver was quick to note that "closure" was subjective and that fans may walk away with differing opinions on the finale. "Our fans should expect endings that are true," he added. "That is all we can promise."
