Keane stopped by The Late Late Show to perform new track “The Way I Feel,” a song off their upcoming fifth album Cause and Effect. The upbeat but emotive tune is the first listen from the album and recently got a stylish music video directed by Kevin Godley. In the performance, the band bring a colorful backdrop and a sense of energy to song.

Cause and Effect will be released September 20th via Island Records. It’s the band’s first album since 2012’s Strangeland and marks their return after a several year hiatus.

This month, Kate Bush will release The Other Sides, a stand-alone four-cd set of B sides and rarities, previously available only as part of larger vinyl and CD box sets released last year. One of the highlights is an elegant, sultry cover of the Billie Holiday signature “The Man I Love.”

The film will shoot in Ireland and will tell the story of how Welles, as a teenager, made his acting debut at the Gate Theatre in Dublin in 1931. The story starts in 1985, just as Barbara Leaming’s biography about Welles is being published. The filmmaker, close to death, is haunted by memories of his lost youth in Ireland.

Here’s a fun fact about the MTV Video Music Awards: I adore them. If we’re talking about award shows with deserving honorees, the VMAs routinely reward the right artists at the right time.
