Classic 1990s comedy chat show The Kumars is returning to television, here are the details.
In the 1990s, there were two shows which brought black British comedy into the mainstream. The first was The Real McCoy, a sketch show which launched the television careers of double acts Curtis Walker and Ishmael Thomas, and Llewella Gideon and Collette Johnson. Later series featured Robbie Gee, Eddie Nestor, Judith Jacob, Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Syal and the much missed Felix Dexter, amongst others.
The second series was sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, which premiered on the BBC in 1997. Taking an irreverent look at Asian-British experience, the series is probably best known for the now iconic ‘Going For An English’ sketch, which poked fun at the stereotypical British experience of going for a curry, but flipping races to an Indian family going out for bland English food.

The following contains spoilers for Foundation Season 2, Episodes 2 & 4, which is now streaming on Apple TV+.
The second season of Apple TV+'s hit sci-fi series Foundation, based on the novels by Isaac Asimov, has continued to tackle many complex themes through the sci-fi genre. One prevailing theme this season is the fusion of science and religion, which centers around one key character: Poly Verisof. This character forms the nexus between these two seemingly opposing forces, enabling the series to offer insights into the intricate relationship between scientific advancement and spiritual belief.
One aspect of Hari Seldon's plan that has come to fruition this season is the Foundation's entry into its religious phase. While the Foundation worked to expand its influence, other civilizations with limited scientific progress began to perceive the Foundation's technology as something mystical, resulting in the emergence of a new religion called, The Church of the Galactic Spirit.

This interview was conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike.
One of the biggest and boldest television series currently on the air is Foundation, based on the science fiction novels by author Isaac Asimov. The series' second season is currently airing on Apple TV+, with the interstellar intrigue and bloody conflict escalating to new heights to determine humanity’s fate in the galaxy. Among the figures caught in the middle of the war is Poly Verisof, who barely survived the events of the first season and now stands as a religious leader in the midst of the shifting status quo after the mysterious Vault is opened on Terminus.
In an interview with Cbr conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Foundation star Kulvinder Ghir shared how he approached playing an older version of Poly than audiences last saw, reveled in bringing more joy and humor to the sci-fi series, and teased what fans can expect from the new season.

This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike.Foundation is quite literally one of the biggest, most ambitious television series of all time. From the start, creator David S. Goyer had an eight-season vision for the epic writings of Isaac Asimov, whose Foundation stories include dozens of major characters and a multitude of planets, political organizations, religious and scientific groups, and class statuses. The Apple TV+ adaptation is so vast, that the entire first season almost feels like a pilot episode, stacked with exposition.
Now the second season is airing, and it's clear that things are in motion. The world of Foundation is developing, and the new season begins with a major time jump that takes viewers 138 years after Hari Seldon's psychohistorian protégé, Gaal Dornick (Lou Llobell), went into cryosleep. In a recent virtual press event for the second season of Apple TV+'s Foundation, Jared Harris, the actor portraying the influential character of Hari Seldon, shares his thoughts about the complex role he plays in the acclaimed series. Harris appreciates how sci-fi offers a platform to explore current real-world issues in an easier-to-digest metaphorical context. He is a known face in the science fiction genre due to his previous roles in series like Fringe and The Expanse.
One of the notable challenges for Harris in the second season of Foundation is playing multiple versions of Seldon. This unique narrative thread is a result of Seldon having himself killed and subsequently projecting his consciousness into various hologram avatars. Harris details the meticulous efforts taken to ensure clear differentiation between these character versions. The differentiation included not only their physical appearance but also their knowledge boundaries, highlighting a much-needed human vulnerability amid the intricate virtual existence.

David S. Goyer has opened up about how collaborating with Christopher Nolan influenced Apple TV+'s Foundation.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Goyer explained how working with Nolan on movies such as The Dark Knight Trilogy helped influence his filmmaking while discussing the production of Foundation Season 2. "Well, number one, I'm just a contrarian," Goyer said. "If the bulk of the people are going this way, just by my nature I'll go in the other direction. We don't use a Volume or anything like that on our show, I would say at least half the show we film location, on remote locations. Part of that is just my filmmaking philosophy. I did a lot of shows with Chris Nolan. That's his philosophy and he likes to do as much as possible in camera."

The Galactic Empire will never be the same with Foundation season 2 premieres on July 14. After a nearly two-year-long wait, the Apple TV+ sci-fi show returns to the world penned by Isaac Asimov, picking up over a century after the eponymous Foundation was founded. As the Genetic Dynasty led by the Cleons plunges further into disarray, the exiled Psychohistory enthusiasts begin preparing for the downfall that was once foretold by Hari Seldon and Gaal Dornick.
Foundation season 2 introduces new characters, including Isabella Laughland as Brother Constant, and introduces older versions of pre-existing characters, such as Kulvinder Ghir as Poly Verisof. They represent the new phase that Hari Seldon's followers have entered, promulgating their beliefs through the Church of the Galactic Spirit. Poly was a young child in season 1, but now he is a religious leader with Brother Constant serving as his novice on a traveling roadshow throughout the Outer Reach.

In the newly released trailer, which tantalizingly foreshadows the impending turmoil, the Foundation is thrust into a ruthless confrontation with the Galactic Empire. While "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" got all the attention for being the most expensive TV show in history (and was -- deservedly! -- praised for actually putting that money on screen with its massive settings), there is another show that is just as visually impressive and expansive — the Apple TV+ series "Foundation."
While we wait for "Dune: Part Two" to bring back desert power and giant worms, "Foundation" is the seminal sci-fi book adaptation to watch. Based on Isaac Asimov's magnum opus of the same name — which actually inspired Frank Herbert to craft the tale of Paul Atreides — "Foundation" is a true sci-fi epic, the likes of which we haven't gotten in decades. The show looks simply stunning, with vast worlds and gorgeous alien locations.
The first season had some fascinating moments and ideas, like Lee Pace playing one-third of an immortal emperor, or math saving the universe,...
