There’s something about the run to Season 5 Part 2 of “Yellowstone” that feels like a funeral march. The show is still humming along ratings-wise and creator Taylor Sheridan is more prolific than ever, but there’s a stink of death around his crown jewel. It’s hard to believe that Yellowstone will wrap up its run on Paramount Network in a few weeks.

Unconfirmed reports in recent months have suggested that the show could get a surprise renewal for Season 6.

However, Paramount Network has yet to confirm that it is walking back the show’s cancellation, so all we can do is proceed with what we know:

Yellowstone, Season 5 Part 2 will wrap up on the cable network on Sunday, December 15, at 8/7c.

Given that the series was canceled after five seasons last year, the final episode will likely provide plenty of closure, but it will probably leave some plot threads dangling to bring certain characters back.

The decision to cancel was initially driven by Kevin Costner’s departure from the show, but there’s a chance that Paramount Network could issue a surprise Season 6 renewal because the cast signed pay-or-play contracts for another season.

Per Collider, The Water of Water will be released on 4K Uhd, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on June 20, 2023. An Ultimate Collector's Edition of 2009's Avatar will also be released the same day. Dr. Grace dies in Avatar, but Sigourney Weaver's Avatar 2 character is someone completely different, avoiding one of the sequel's biggest problems.

Avatar: The Way of Water is the long-awaited sequel to the incredibly popular first Avatar film, with James Cameron continuing on his franchise. While the film series mostly focuses on the alien Na'vi and their planet Pandora, Avatar 2 is bringing back several characters from the original film, such as protagonists Jake Sully and Neytiri, as well as the villainous Colonel Quaritch. Sigourney Weaver is one of the biggest name actors in the first Avatar, meaning that her being part of the returning cast of Avatar 2 isn't surprising.

Filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s film ‘Rrr’ lost the Best Visual Effects award to James Camron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards. According to ‘Variety’, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ by Cameron took home the Best Visual Effects honour.

Others nominated in the category included “The Batman”, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, “Rrr” and “Top Gun: Maverick”.

‘Rrr’ clinched the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Best Song trophy at the award event held here.

‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is the sequel to the 2009 film Avatar and the second installment in the Avatar film series. Cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, Cch Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald reprise their roles from the original film, with Sigourney Weaver returning in an additional role.

Shortly after the release of Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) the third installment in the Avatar franchise has been announced. Avatar 3 is scheduled to be released December 2024.

Co-written and directed by James Cameron, it counts on the same star-studded cast as in the latest feature of the epic sci-fi saga. Among them are Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver.

When Jack Champion found out five years ago that he was auditioning for James Cameron’s long-awaited Avatar sequel, the actor — then 12 — watched the original 2009 film every day for a month. “Three hours, every day,” says Champion, now 18. “It was one of my favorite movies growing up.”

Avatar: The Way of Water star Stephen Lang explains how his villain character Quaritch is brought back from the dead for the long-awaited sequel. Lang’s Quaritch certainly made a memorable bad guy when he first appeared in James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster Avatar. A member of the militaristic Rda, Quaritch helped menace the peace-loving Na’vi of the moon Pandora, until meeting a fitting end when Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri shot him through the heart with one of her giant arrows.

And that seemingly was the last audiences would ever see of Quaritch. But surprisingly, when casting for Avatar 2 was being revealed, Lang’s name was indeed on the roster. And later it was confirmed that Lang would be returning as the dead Quartich. Fans were left to wonder how Lang’s vanquished Rda bad guy could possibly be back after taking an arrow through the heart in the original Avatar.

An Avatar: The Way of Water image shows a new look at Colonel Quaritch's band of Recombinant marines. Stephen Lang is one of many original Avatar stars returning in the upcoming sequel, along with Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Joel David Moore, Cch Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald, who all reprise their roles. James Cameron had the Avatar: The Way of Water cast undergo rigorous underwater training in order to hold their breaths for several minutes.
