- Brother of Bryan Foy, Charley Foy, Irving Foy , Madeline Foy, Mary Foy and Richard Foy. After the death of their mother, their father incorporated them into his vaudeville act as "The Seven Little Foys." All of the Foy siblings (except Bryan, who directed) can be seen in the Vitaphone short Chips of the Old Block (1928).

- Was scheduled to co-star in the 1971 Kander and Ebb musical "70 Girls 70", but couldn't remember his lines and was replaced during rehearsal.
- Upon his death, his remains were interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York.
