Many cineastes think Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather is the most influential film of all times. I would have to go with that. So would Feroz Khan, who’s been in two of the worst Godfather-influenced films of all time. Here’s saluting The Godfather clones, good, bad and the awful.

1. Dharmatma (1975):

Feroz Khan was always ahead of his time. So, it’s no surprise that he was the first Bollywood filmmaker to jump on the The Godfather bandwagon with this wildly out-of-control remake—an almost scene-by-scene reaffirmation of the original with Feroz playing Al Pacino and Premnath as Marlon Brando. Netflix ha publicado el primer tráiler de El lugar de la otra, una película dirigida por Maite Alberdi (The Eternal Memory), que tendrá su estreno mundial en el Festival de San Sebastián, donde competirá por la Concha de Oro.

El lugar de la otra es un drama basado en hechos reales ambientado en Chile, 1955. Cuando la popular escritora María Carolina Geel asesina a su amante, el caso cautiva a Mercedes, la tímida secretaria del juez encargado del caso. Tras visitar el apartamento de la escritora, Mercedes empieza a cuestionarse su vida, su identidad y el papel de la mujer en la sociedad al encontrar allí un oasis de libertad.

La película chilena está protagonizada por Elisa Zulueta (Feroz) y Francisca Lewin (Secretos en el jardín).

El lugar de la otra se estrena el 11 de octubre en Netflix.

Styled after addicting and aesthetically apt crime dramas “Mindhunter” and “True Detective,” author Ignacio del Valle and writer-director Rai García (“Al salir de clase”) are readying an upcoming series, “Black Suns” (“Soles Negros”), based on the fourth installment of del Valle’s historical suspense oeuvre published in 2016.

His novel “The Time of Strange Emperors” was adapted for the big screen in Gerardo Herrero’s 2012 film “Silence in the Snow.” It starred Feroz award-winning actor Juan Diego Botto (“I Don’t Like Driving”) and Goya winner Carmelo Gómez (“The Method”).

“Adapting my novel into a series is an exciting undertaking that ignites my creativity and makes me explore new paths to ensure that the adaptation is visual and dynamic,” de Valle told Variety.

Mumbai, Jan 4 (Ians) Veteran star Zeenat Aman went down memory lane and recalled how she joined the cast of ‘Qurbani’, which released in 1980.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Zeenat shared a still from the film, directed by and starring Feroz Khan.

It also stars Vinod Khanna, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kader Khan.

The film was famous for its music, especially the Bollywood disco song ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ sung by Pakistani popstar Nazia Hassan and ‘Laila O Laila’.

Alongside the still where she described Feroz as “charismatic”, Zeenat wrote: “I read somewhere that Oxford’s word for the year 2023 is “rizz” – short for ‘charisma’. Well, if l’ve ever known anybody to have rizz, it was Feroz Khan.”

The actress then revealed that her start with the late actor was not easy.

The Nxt North American Championship is staying with Wes Lee, but not after some shenanigans involving special guest referee Mustafa Ali. Lee and Bate squared off in the spirit of competition as both Superstars have been allies to one another in recent months, but it began to turn when neither of them could trust the actions of Ali who began conducting both quick and slow counts. Bate came close on several occasions to winning the title, but Lee’s championship mettle was too great as a well-timed and well-placed Kardiak Kick ended the contest and allowed the champion to retain.
