A battle for the estate of Larry King is getting messier. Shawn King, the broadcaster’s widow, is suing her former business managers, accusing them of stealing money and conspiring to help King’s son Larry King Jr. usurp her as executor of the estate.

King died in January 2021 after being hospitalized for Covid-19. A month later, Larry King Jr. moved to become special administrator of the estate. He pointed to a handwritten amendment by King leaving his assets to his five children. Shawn King challenged the will, arguing it was changed under questionable circumstances. The matter was resolved through a confidential settlement.

In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Shawn King alleges Blouin & Company colluded with Larry King Jr. to divest her from the estate in addition to illegally transferring millions of dollars to numerous people and entities without her permission.

In April, the 76-year-old TV host and his 50-year-old wife each filed divorce papers within minutes of each other. They both cited irreconcilable differences as the culprit.

They put their divorce on hold a few days later and sought counseling.

But now, it seems that they want to give their marriage another try. They have officially filed papers to dismiss their original petition.

After back in April Larry King's lawyer claimed a divorce between the television host and his wife Shawn Southwick had "a 50-50 chance" that it "is not happening," Larry and Shawn have now made their reconciliation official. The couple has filed legal papers, withdrawing their planned divorce, Larry's spokesman said on Thursday, July 8.

Larry and Shawn dropped their divorce on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court and their request was granted on the same day. Larry's rep confirmed through a statement to Access Hollywood, "Larry King and his wife, Shawn, have both filed petitions to dismiss their divorce papers," with the host of "Larry King Live" adding "A lot of new things are happening to us, and we are happy to be together as a family with our children."

The divorce papers were filed by Larry and Shawn in April, citing "irreconcilable differences". Shawn accused Larry of cheating with her sister Shannon Southwick.

Deciding to work through their marital woes, Larry King and Shawn Southwick have made it official that they will not be getting a divorce.

According to People magazine, the CNN host and his wife filed petitions Wednesday in a Los Angeles court to dismiss their divorce case.

Police are reporting that the May 28th overdose of pills taken by Shawn Southwick wife of Larry King, was indeed a suicide attempt. Southwick wrote a suicide note and burial instructions before taking several bottles of pills. She was found by her father Karl Engemann at her Provo, Utah home, and at the time, he stated that the Od was not intentional. “No, no, no. It wouldn’t be suicidal. I don’t think she did it on purpose. Last night, she seemed confused about what she had taken,” he said. Friends reveal that Southwick had been depressed for years over the possibility that King was engaged in an extramarital affair with her sister, Shannon Engemann, and that despite an attempt to reconcile with King, her depression fueled the suicide attempt.

Police have said that Larry King's wife Shawn Southwick was most likely trying to commit suicide when overdosing on depression medication last month. The 50-year-old was found unconscious by her father Karl Engemann in her Utah home and admitted to hospital after he called 911. Authorities said that they found notes written by Southwick which implied that she "might hurt herself, such as that she wanted to be buried in Utah", reports People. Larry King's wife, Shawn King, was found with several empty prescription pill bottles and a handwritten note that police believe she wrote on May 28, according to a police report obtained by Access Hollywood.

According to the report, the Provo Police officer who was dispatched to King's home following a 911 call by her dad, saw "multiple pill bottles all of which were empty on the bed."

HollywoodNews.com: Yesterday we reported that Larry King’s wife, Shawn Southwick, was is in good shape and enjoying life after an apparent drug overdose on May 28. However, it looks as if her apparent overdose may have been a suicide attempt.

According to TMZ, the police have indicated that they found a handwritten note where King wrote that she Od’d on purpose and indicated that she wanted to be buried in Provo, Utah where the overdose took place.

They also report that they have gotten their hands on the report, which lists a total of 8 prescription bottles that were found at her home. Among the prescriptions were Compro, Prometrium, Clonazepam, Ambien, Klonopin, Subutex, Cymbalta and Lyrica. Apparently the bottles of Ambien, Klonopin, and Clonazepam were found empty at the scene, which had only been filled 10 days prior to the overdose.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the police report listing the various prescription bottles found at Shawn King 's bedside in Provo, Utah -- a total of eight bottles were found. Among the prescriptions by at the home of Larry King 's wife: Compro, Prometrium, Clonazepam, Ambien, Klonopin, Subutex, Cymbalta and Lyrica. Subutex is commonly used to treat narcotic addiction.
