I first encountered Kim Justice when the channel Kim presided over was in it's infancy. Concentrating on Sega games of yesteryear, Kim brought list based content, featuring Top Ten Megadrive games, Beat -em Ups, Shooters presented in an interesting, real and humorous fashion. I found myself not only subscribing but re-watching, hidden gems were revealed and overly familiar titles were given a new perspective. It was becoming clear that this channel and it's presenter was something special. Before long, this youtuber became one of the most popular of the UK broadcasters regarding gaming and it's history.
Kim's channel soon became popular and thanks to Patreon, the channel is completely self-sufficient, the videos became of higher quality and longer, the subjects became more ambitious, focusing not just on Reviews but on illuminating aspects of gaming history in extensive documentaries.
Soon the channel caught the attention of the prestigious and long running magazine - Retro Gamer,...

Sometimes you just need to get away.
When Anna Faris and Chris Pratt need a break from their hectic Hollywood lifestyle, they send each other their own version of the bat signal.

To help convey the “visceral realism” of Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk,” the director needed an intense soundscape for the legendary evacuation of more than 300,000 British and Allied troops under German bombardment.
In fact, Nolan needed three distinctly rhythmic soundscapes for this tick-tock, overlapping, World War II actioner that covers land, sea, and air. Nolan and composer Hans Zimmer came up with the sound of a ticking watch that plays throughout, and sound editor/sound designer Richard King provided the real-world soundscapes for mounting excitement, panic, and jeopardy.
“Chris wanted a sense of velocity and everything’s happening so fast with the enemy approaching at their own speed, so there’s a time limit,” said King, Oscar winner for “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World,” “The Dark Knight,” and “Inception.”
“Rather than observing it off in the distance, Chris really wanted to make you feel how horrible that would be,...

Today saw a major shakeup at the Los Angeles Clippers when the NBA team traded star Chris “CP3” Paul to the Houston Rockets. Great for Paul, potentially not so great for the Clippers, because fellow star player Blake Griffin is a free agent. With Paul moving to Texas, Griffin might find fewer reasons to stay with the Clippers, even if the team is reportedly gunning hard to keep him. If Paul and Griffin both end up leaving the Clippers, that makes Center DeAndre Jordan the team’s remaining superstar (for now), which as it turns out is extremely awkward. Because it’s.

With a lifelong love of animals instilled by parents who bred Labradors and golden retrievers, Chris Baity discovered his professional calling as a dog trainer while interacting with military dogs on a high school Marine Rotc trip.
He went on to serve eight years as a Marine — including three tours of duty in Iraq — teaching combat dogs to detect and locate weapons and explosives. After retiring from the service in 2009, and in his post-military work as contract trainer back home in Woodbridge, Virginia, he realized he could create a new life for shelter dogs by tapping into the same learning...

A new video essay explores the role played by films such as Jordan Peele’s acclaimed social horror-thriller “Get Out” in the portrayal of racial relations in America. The video, posted on the YouTube channel Like Stories of Old, starts by explaining the concept of “white fragility,” a term was coined in a academic paper written in 2011 by Dr. Robyn D’Angelo. It refers to “American white people living in social environments that protect and isolate them from race-based stress providing them with racial comfort, but also lowering their tolerance racial pressure.”

With the upcoming Power Rangers and Ghost in the Shell movies coming out over the next few weeks, one might want to take a look back to the '70s and '80s as a time when Asian productions were frequently brought to American shores.
One of the originators of that tradition was the cartoon Star Blazers, based on the Japanese anime Space Battleship Yamato.
The Star Blazers animated show only had three seasons that ran from 1979 to 1984, but it created an avid fanbase with the related toys, comic books and other iterations, all of which followed the adventures of the crew of the Argo, an old battleship turned into a starship that is used to fight against the forces of Gamilon, a distant planet that attacks earth sometime in the future.

Coming from live-action, it made perfect sense for Brit director Garth Jennings (“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”) to approach the animated musical, “Sing,” more like “The Commitments” than “Despicable Me” — only with animals.
And what a diverse ensemble of performers Jennings conjured with the help of Illumination founder-producer Chris Meledandri: Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), the impresario koala; Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), a domestic pig with great singing chops; Mike, a crooning mouse (Seth MacFarlane); Ash (Scarlett Johansson), a punk porcupine; Johnny, a young gangster gorilla (Taron Egerton); Meena (Tori Kelly), a teenage elephant with stage fright; and Gunther (Nick Kroll), the dancing pig. (See IndieWire Awards Editor Anne Thompson’s interview with Jennings and Meledandri below.)

Emile Hirsch keeps himself busy these days, but he’s not always making movies. The 31-year-old actor recently finished the first draft of a novel, completed a screenplay, and spends a lot of time painting still lifes in his backyard.
Meanwhile, he’s acting in a wider range of projects than ever before. A versatile performer known for immersing himself in his roles, he currently stars opposite Brian Cox in the minimalist horror-drama “The Autopsy of Jane Doe,” opening December 21, and has a range of projects — from a buddy comedy with Jk Simmons to a sweeping China-set period drama with an otherwise Asian cast—scheduled for 2017.
“The work itself is the goal,” he said, settling into Brooklyn eatery Sisters after a long day promoting “Jane Doe” in Manhattan. He was in the midst of a monthlong break from the novel, following the advice of Stephen King’s “On Writing,” his favorite guidebook.

We're a few days removed from Halloween 2016 by now, but this Stranger Things-themed jack o'lantern is absolutely worth sharing because my jaw dropped when I saw it. It's not the most intricately carved pumpkin I've ever seen, but the creativity on display here is fantastic, and by the time the last half of the video rolls around and reveals what's on the other side, I was shaking my head in awe. Super cool idea, and I'm glad this won a competition because it definitely deserves some recognition.
Amongst some great competition, we score another win in the Jack Morton annual pumpkin carving competition. Good work team! It's Strangers Things themed, if by chance you didn't see the series.

Comic Book Reviews: Indie Comics To Look Out For!
Much like music or television, the comic book industry is full of all types of comic books. Most come from big time publishers like Marvel or DC, but there are also some from smaller publishers such as Image, Idw, Dark Horse, and Valiant, among others. However, there is an entire new community of independent comic book creators emerging thanks to the digital era.
These creators are finding ways to get their book together and produced without relying upon a bigger publishing house. Comic book creators can now market their product via Amazon, Comixology, Drivethru, and even their own self-designed website (as long as they set up an online-store). To help fund and produce these books, creators might pay their teams out-of-pocket, or simply be a one person, all-inclusive creator. Another avenue many creators have taken too is crowd funding. One Direction might be on hiatus, but the British boy band will briefly reunite – in cartoon form – this Sunday when the Made in the A.M. group appear on Family Guy. Entertainment Weekly has shared one of One Direction's cameos from the "Run, Chris, Run" episode, with the quartet appearing in one of Stewie's non sequitur flashbacks.
In the scene, the youngest Griffin brags to the family dog Brian about his ability to connect with the younger generation, which then cuts to a campfire scene where Stewie is telling One Direction scary stories.

For the uninitiated, an Express Pass is used to skip all tasks in a Leg and move directly to a Pit Stop. It's a big deal. If an Express Pass were to show up this late in the game and a team were to use it on this ninth leg, it could really shake things up. And shaking things up seems like exactly what the powers that...

Ron Howard's new adventure on the high seas (based on the story that inspired Moby Dick) In the Heart of the Sea didn't manage to beat The Hunger Games, due mostly to the latter's much higher screen count. But regardless it's the final week of Katniss's reign. Next weekend the jedis, generals, droids, and wookies arrive surely stealing all the screens in our multiplex world.
If Chris & Tom survive this whaling adventure they get to play Marvel superheroes next
In Oscar-seeking land, Spotlight was off only 10% after a final expansion to 1089 screens so word of mouth is strong and the run will surely be leggy as it nabs more prizes at award ceremonies. The Big Short, inexplicably on only 8 screens despite multiplex-appeal (this is not a highbrow movie!) and tons of stars, packed its houses. Carol and The Danish Girl with tiny expansions are also doing solid if unspectacular business.

Movie Trailers are the best. And when done right, they can be as satisfying as watching the film itself. Here are my favorites of 2015. There was a lot to sift through but at the end of the day, if it showed up in this list, then it was something that I could instantly recall. In no particular order... Mad Max: Fury Road When the first trailer dropped for 'Mm:fr', I was so incredibly happy I didn't know what to do with myself other than watch the trailer on repeat for three days straight. It was a long eight months until we got our next sneak peek at what is arguably the best film of the year. What I like the most out of the second trailer is the incorporation of Junkie Xl's blistering score. Suicide Squad I wasn't super hyped on this film when it was announced that David Ayer...

A new report suggests that there's going to be a new Gilmore Girl -- or little Mad Man -- coming into the world soon: Alexis Bledel is reportedly pregnant, expecting her first child with husband Vincent Kartheiser.
According to Celebuzz, a source has revealed that Kartheiser is "trying to keep it quiet," but added that the actor is "very happy about the news."
The site reports that the pair's baby news slipped out when friends were "seen congratulating Kartheiser at the world premiere of his new National Geographic Channel movie, 'Saints & Strangers,' in Los Angeles on Monday night." Bledel's rep did not respond to Celebuzz's request for comment.
That's par for the course for the super-private couple, who met on the set of "Mad Men" more than three years ago. While their onscreen characters didn't exactly have a happy ending -- Bledel played a housewife who seduces Kartheiser's Pete Campbell,...

Is Chloe-Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie's relationship fake? They would like to tell you categorically: no. It's all real.
Speaking to Digital Spy and others, the Celebrity Big Brother couple said they would love to take a lie detector test to prove people wrong.
"We found out that several people have said our relationship is fake, and if that's the case, give us a lie detector and we'll do it happily for free," Chloe-Jasmine stated.
"We want it! We'd like the lie detector!"
Stevi added: "The wedding is definitely still on. It's not over yet."
The pair then talked about their wedding plans, and discussed the possibility of inviting a few of their former housemates.
"We're definitely having Chris Ellison at our wedding," said Chloe-Jasmine. "We haven't asked Scoop or Natasha, but we have a feeling their appearance fee will have tripled!
"We've just found out Simon Cowell's coming to our wedding.

You might think Gail Porter struggled a bit in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but she insists she's definitely "not emotionally unstable" and now feels "stronger than ever".
The presenter, who was sent home in a double eviction on Tuesday night (September 15), also said that her strong Scottish blood would never let her quit the Channel 5 reality series if things got tough.
Asked about Chris Ellison's admission that he was worried about Gail, she told Digital Spy and others: "Now, Chris and I had a massive talk, and Chris is a great person.
"I don't think he meant worried in the fact that he was worried that I was going to have a breakdown, I think he was worried about the fact that I missed home and I missed my friends and he was worried about the fact that I didn't join in with arguments because it's not my personality.

Tensions were high after the Celebrity Big Brother housemates were forced to do dreaded face-to-face nominations on tonight's show (September 9).
As a result, Bobby Davro, Gail Porter, Farrah Abraham, Jenna Jameson and Stevi Ritchie & Chloe Jasmine will all be facing Friday's fake double eviction.
As with all face-to-face nominations, there was some unpleasantness - this time in the form of a major row between Bobby and Farrah.
Bobby called Farrah one of the ugliest people he's ever had to spend time with, saying she was a "vile" human being, and no amount of make-up or lip gloss would be able to cover that ugliness.
Farrah, naturally, didn't take this well and called him "Satan" in retaliation. She also refused to relax even when Big Brother told her to sit down.

"That's why she cleans all the time and that's why she does so much - she's trying to keep herself busy because she's very, very emotional. And finding it very difficult.

A lingering question inside the Celebrity Big Brother house is whether Stevi Ritchie and Chloe-Jasmine's romance is real – and now we know how Chris Ellison feels.
Stevi and Chloe-Jasmine fell in love after starring on The X Factor late last year – although there have been plenty of 'showmance' rumours.
Celebrity Big Brother: Who is your favourite housemate, and are you Team UK or Team USA?
Speaking to Digital Spy and others, the recently-evicted Chris offered his own thoughts on Stevi and Chloe-Jasmine's relationship.
"I mean, I tell you what, I wouldn't like to be in their position with my fiancée," he explained. "No, I wouldn't – not in that house. That must be a nightmare – I mean, I can't believe that anybody would want to do that.
"I mean, it's a very strange thing. They are an odd couple, I have to say. I like them both but they're very odd.

Chris Ellison was on the brink of exploding in the Celebrity Big Brother house prior to his eviction – but surprisingly not because of Farrah Abraham.
Farrah has made more than a few enemies inside the house, most recently angering Natasha Hamilton and other housemates in a row over kosher wine of all things.
Celebrity Big Brother: Who is your favourite housemate, and are you Team UK or Team USA?
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Chris explained that his own frustration actually had nothing to do with Farrah.
"I think if I'd stayed another week I would have lost it, yeah," he admitted. "I would have lost it big time. Probably not with – I don't know – not with Farrah.
"You see, the thing is, I know a lot of people don't like Farrah and they've got problems. I never had a problem with Farrah because I never really had any connection with her.

Celebrity Big Brother is planning a phoney double eviction for this Friday's live show – but, in a major twist, the fakery will in itself actually be a ruse.
Yes, you read that correctly. Two housemates will be evicted from the house by Emma Willis, and sent to a secret room where they can watch events via monitors.
Celebrity Big Brother: Who is your favourite housemate, and are you Team UK or Team USA?
Unlike in previous fake evictions, the remaining celebrities will be let in on the fakery by Big Brother as part of an elaborate hoax on the two evicted housemates.

Chris Ellison has become the second housemate evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The Bill star finished at the bottom of the latest public vote against fellow contestant Bobby Davro, Gail Porter and the duo of Stevi Ritchie & Chloe-Jasmine.
Celebrity Big Brother: Who is your favourite housemate, and are you Team UK or Team USA?
Tila Tequila was ejected just one day into the competition over controversial social media posts, while Daniel Baldwin was evicted on day nine.
Judging by his post-eviction interview with Emma Willis, Chris's exit from Britain's most famous house came as a relief.

"It was crazy arguments, just shouting and screaming. It got boring actually - it was very intense. It was just people talking very loudly.

"I got it from Natasha for the fact that she felt that I didn't stand up for her. I got it from them because Jenna was like, 'Well, you let these people talk about me'. If I would have known it was this hard, I would have charged three times my fee."
But Scoop remains hopeful and believes he can turn it all around.

The Celebrity Big Brother housemate's comments come the day after a major bust-up involving Farrah Abraham and Natasha Hamilton.

Food and drink inevitably becomes a sticking point in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Whether it's lack of effort in tasks to win food, deciding on the shopping list or just outright eating what's not yours - it's guaranteed to create drama.
Now, Jenna Jameson's bottles of kosher wine are splitting the British housemates from the Americans.
Big Brother provided an extra bottle of kosher wine which Natasha Hamilton poured out because it was the only red wine left, annoying both Jenna and Farrah Abraham.
Jenna complained: "Why do they have to drink the kosher wine?" as her UK housemates moaned about her getting a whole bottle to herself just because it's kosher.
Chris Ellison said: "That f**king wine business is getting on [my] nerves… I tell you, when I get out of here I don't want to hear a f**king American accent again."

Bobby Davro, Gail Porter, and Stevi Ritchie & Chloe Jasmine have all been put up for eviction on Celebrity Big Brother.
In highlights airing tonight (September 7), the American housemates are asked to decide between them which three contestants they would like to nominate alongside Chris Ellison.
They choose Stevi & Chloe over the hot water situation, before tactically going for Bobby - with Fatman Scoop calling him the "glue" in the UK team.
The final nomination is between Gail and James Hill, with Jenna Jameson wanting James to go because she thinks he's distracting Austin.
However, Austin wants to vote for Gail instead, and Scoop backs Austin up by saying: "I'm not going to vote for someone who's not going to go.
"This is a younger fanbase with younger people. We're wasting our time not being selective with our votes."

Celebrity Big Brother's Chris Ellison is up for eviction after a killer nomination from Fatman Scoop.
The events followed a fiercely-contested battle between the UK and USA teams, as they dressed up in giant hot dog suits hoping to win control of the house.
Housemates had to slide down a runway into huge hot dog buns. The Americans won, and they voted for Scoop to be president.
"Really, I'm shocked because I've never been voted for anything," Scoop said. "I'm about peace, love, respect.
"I'm not going to use my power to make you run around like damn fools."
With the Americans now immune from nomination, Scoop had to then choose one UK housemate to put up for eviction.
"I am going to pick Chris because, in my opinion, he is not bringing the most to the household," he reasoned.
Chris wasn't too phased by the nomination, admitting that...
