“Veselka: The Rainbow on the Corner at the Center of the World,” Michael Fiore’s documentary about a New York Ukrainian restaurant, will receive digital and physical releases from Gravitas Ventures. Starting on Nov. 12, the film will be available on Blu-ray and major streamers in the U.S. and Canada.

Reportedly, the Wolf Pack team had been hopeful for a renewal, and the cast and crew were gearing up to start production in February. However, cast members are said to have been informed just this week that their show would not be moving forward with a second season on Paramount+. There hasn't been any indication as of now that the show may be shopped elsewhere, and this seems to be the end of the line for Wolf Pack.

McQueen’s films “Mangrove” and “Lovers Rock” — both part of the director’s BBC-commissioned “Small Axe” anthology, consisting of five feature-length stories — have been selected for Cannes, which revealed its line-up today despite not going ahead with a physical festival this year.

“I dedicate these films to George Floyd and all the other black people that have been murdered, seen or unseen, because of who they are, in the U.S., U.K. and elsewhere,” said McQueen. “‘If you are the big tree, we are the small axe.’ Black Lives Matter.”

12 Years A Slave director Steve McQueen has dedicated his two movies announced today as part of the Cannes Film Festival lineup to George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Oscar-winning director said of the two films, which address racism in the UK: “I dedicate these films to George Floyd, and all the other black people that have been murdered, seen or unseen, because of who they are, in the U.S., U.K. and elsewhere. ‘If you are the big tree, we are the small axe.’ Black lives matter.”

The films come from the director’s British anthology series Small Axe, which was previously described as a TV series, but is now an anthology of five films which will show on the BBC and Amazon Prime.

Drama to receive a royal world premiere.

Modern Films has secured UK rights to Julian Jarrold’s drama Sulphur And White from Altitude.

The film, which stars Game Of Thrones’ Mark Stanley and Cannes best actress winner Emily Beecham, will receive a theatrical release on March 6.

Its world premiere will take place in London on February 27 in association with the Nspcc and in the presence of the children’s charity Royal patron, Sophie, countess of Wessex.

The film is based on the true story of City trader and mountaineer David Tait, played by Stanley, whose professional success masks a series of traumatic secrets.

Lionsgate and Saban Films are teaming with Fathom Events to release Rob Zombie’s upcoming horror film 3 From Hell, with a three-day rollout set for September 16-18 in almost 900 theaters. The pic is a follow-up to Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects and returns those pics’ Firefly family to the big screen for the first time since Rejects in 2005.

The specialized release will include unique content each night via Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network: a Zombie video intro and a poster for the first 50 attendees on that Monday, a 30-minute behind-the-scenes look on Tuesday and a double feature with Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects on Wednesday.

Mark Damon’s Dcr Finance Corp., co-headed with financer Adi Cohen and producer Jordi Rediu, has received a $25 million investment from Cinevideotech Inc., Variety has learned exclusively.

The fund’s first investment will be the P&a for Vietnam War drama “The Last Full Measure,” which Roadside Attractions will release on Oct. 25. The film stars Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, with Ed Harris and Samuel L. Jackson and is directed by Todd Robinson. Damon produced “The Last Full Measure” through his Foresight banner and is also handling worldwide sales.

Film entrepreneur Egon Stephan heads Cinevideotech. Damon’s credits include “2 Guns” and “Lone Survivor.”

Following on from Rob Zombie’s tantalizing social media countdown, the first 3 From Hell trailer finally arrived last month and though it did give us our best look yet at the upcoming sequel to 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, it really didn’t reveal very much.

Coming in at just under a minute in length, it offered up a tantalizing tease of the chaos to come but crucially, didn’t provide us with any plot details or even a firm release date. We’ve been told though that the pic would be hitting theaters this fall and now, at long last, we know exactly when to expect it.

Zombie and Lionsgate have announced today that 3 From Hell will be with us on September 16th, but there’s a catch. You see, it’ll only be playing in 900 select theaters and will run for three nights only – September 16th, 17th and 18th.

The long-gestating series will comprise six parts and tell five different stories. Its title is derived from a Jamaican proverb: “If you are the big tree, we are the small axe,” meaning that relatively marginal or small voices of dissent can successfully challenge more powerful ones. It is also the title of a Bob Marley song from his 1973 album Catch a Fire.

McQueen created the series’ stories with Alastair Siddons and Courttia Newland.

As many of you know well and good by this point in time, writer-director Rob Zombie has an all-new entry in his infamous "Firefly Family" franchise headed our way in early 2019, called Three from Hell. It's been a whopping thirteen years (holy hell) since we've seen these three psycho killers grace the big screen, and Zombie recently teased that they will be joined this time around by a bunch of "bizarre cameos" including Chaz Bono. London-based sales agent Protagonist Pictures has acquired worldwide sales rights to Mitch Jenkins’ The Show, based on an original story from Alan Moore, the graphic novel creator of Watchmen and V For Vendetta.

The Show is produced by Jim Mooney and Mike Elliot of Emu Films with Lex Film’s Tom Brown. The cast is headed by Tom Burke, star of the BBC TV detective series Strike, with Siobhan Hewlett, Screen Star of Tomorrow 2015 Ellie Bamber, Sheila Atim, Richard Dillane and Moore himself. It is now shooting in Northampton, UK, where it is also set.
