Jon Ekstrand born in 1976 is a Swedish film Composer. Jon began his career as a sound engineer/ sound designer with sound designer and mixer Owe Swensson as his mentor. In 1998 Jon started at the Stockholm Film School, where he met director Daniel Espinosa who he has collaborated with on several occasions. Together they worked on "The Fighter" (2003), "Babylon Disease" (2004) which Jon got the SKAP (Swedish Composers of popular music) scholar for,"Outside Love"(2007), "Easy Money"(2010),"Child 44"(2015) and now latest "Life" (2017) which he received great reviews for his score and the Original Sound Track.
Since 2003, Jon has written the music score on several feature films, TV series and short films, including the internationally acclaimed Easy Money trilogy. 2017 was a record year for Jon with music scores for 2 TV-series ("Farang" & Alex") and 3 feature films all in the same year!
