Ingrid Luterkort, born on June 28, 1910, Lund, Sweden, as Carola, Ingrid, Margareta Eklundh, was an actress. She first studied to become a cantor, a profession she could live on in case she wouldn't succeed as an actress. From 1932 to 1934 she was trained at the Royal Dramatic Theatre School in Stockholm, where she made her first stage appearance in "Cyrano de Bergerac" (1933). Among her classmates was Ingrid Bergman and Gunnar Björnstrand. Ingrid Luterkort's acting career lasted 76 years. She had a strong commitment in the development of Swedish theatre. As an actress, teacher, mentor and researcher. Ingrid Luterkort appeared in 39 feature films and television productions. Her last role was in the movie "Psalm 21", in which the recordings were completed in December 2009. She passed away at the age of 101, on August 3, 2011.
