Time to hit the golf course this summer. Happy Gilmore 2 will hit Netflix on July 25, the streamer revealed Tuesday, along with a teaser trailer. "Happy Gilmore returns!" reads the simple logline, but the trailer shows Adam Sandler's iconic character having doubts as he attempts to get back on the links. Set to the tune of “Pilot” by Magic, the video out Tuesday shows Happy return to the world of pro golf against today’s hottest, real-life players nearly 30 years after the events of the first film. Still, he’s clearly made a name for himself in the time since as he’s considered one of the greats alongside Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

Julie Bowen, Bad Bunny and Ben Stiller each get their own moments in the clip, while Christopher McDonald, Dennis Dugan and Allen Covert are set to reprise their roles in the sequel to the 1996 sports comedy classic. However, it's worth noting that Deadline's July 2025 release date is several months later than the March/April 2025 release window that professional golfer John Daly, who will appear in the sequel, gave back in September 2024.

“That was a dream come true,” Kelce said, “I thought ‘SNL’ was going to be the peak of my acting and showman or entertainment career. Working with Happy Gilmore himself, the Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain.”

While he is by no means top-billed, Kelce said he has “a few” scenes in the film, and that shooting for “Happy Gilmore 2” was “a hefty load” of work.

“They’re so professional and yet so fun to work with,” Kelce added.

Travis Kelce is not only making another Super Bowl run with the Kansas City Chiefs in hopes of a three-peat but is also racking up his acting credits.

The NFL star is set to make an appearance opposite Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2 and recently opened up about what it was like to work with the comedian.

“That was a dream come true,” Kelce said on The Pat McAfee Show. I thought SNL was going to be the peak of my acting and showman or entertainment career … working with Happy Gilmore himself, the Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain.”

He continued, “They’re so professional and yet so fun to work with. I felt like I was working with like the Andy Reid of the acting world. [Sandler] is every bit as cool off the screen as he is on the screen. That was a dream come true.

The star was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show episode that aired Friday, where he revealed that the movie completed filming that day. With Kyle Newacheck directing, the follow-up to the 1996 comedy stars Sandler as the unlikely titular golfer and has not yet announced a release date.

During the conversation, Patrick discussed having been on the set a day prior to film an appearance.
