Austrian director Ulrich Seidl has said it was always his intention to make “a single, long film encompassing the entire story” of his two previous projects, “Rimini” and “Sparta.”
The resulting film, “Wicked Games Rimini Sparta,” had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and is a combined version of his 2022 diptych “Rimini” and “Sparta,” which follows brothers Richie (Michael Thomas) and Ewald (Georg Friedrich), respectively.
Speaking to Variety, Seidl went on to explain how the original single project was split into two separate films: “During the extremely long process of editing, I wasn’t entirely satisfied and thought it’d be interesting to explore the idea of making two different films out of it, using the same material. So we attempted to do just that as I wasn’t convinced the extended version gave the best possible artistic results given the material. We made two films out...

Swedish cult film streaming service Cultpix, which launched in April, continues to beef up its catalogue while expanding deals with distribution partners.
Company co-founders Rickard Gramfors and Patrick von Sychowski will be attending the Lumière Festival’s International Classic Film Market (Mfic) in Lyon, France, where they will be on the lookout for new acquisitions.
“This is the first time that either of us are attending and we are already in discussions via email with other market participants,” von Sychowski said. “We are hugely impressed by the caliber of companies attending Mfic and the rights libraries that they represent and we are confidant about making several deals there.”
Cultpix has increased its offering from an initial 400 titles when it went online to some 600 films and TV shows, adding an average of five to six new titles a week, von Sychowski said.

Legendary producer Erwin C. Dietrich backed Franco, calmed Kinski and made many masterpieces in the process. The European mirror of prolific cinematic plate-spinner Roger Corman has to be Swiss-born movie mogul Erwin C. Dietrich. Initially training to be an actor in the 1950’s, Dietrich instead found his path as a writer, director and producer, steering…

Weisse Haut auf schwarzen Schenkeln opens up on the Mondo Erotico set. You know, the obscenely small and narrow black room with the white fluffy bed. It’s here we meet Marga, an exotic erotic dancer played by Diotta Fatou (Die Sklavinnen). She’s in the middle of one of her stage shows. In the audience we meet Robert, a wealthy middle-aged man played by Roman Huber (Das Frauenhaus). He enjoys the show so much that when Marga has finished her little dance, he decides to take her back to somewhere private. The pair get down to business and instead of enjoying that wonderful post sex cigarette, Marga does the next best thing and throws herself out of the window. Yep, bitches be crazy! The next day Robert...

Candida Royalle (Ultra Flesh) stars as Lolita Wanamaker, a young and attractive woman recently sentenced to a few years in prison. She immediately makes a good first impression. Neither the prison guards or her fellow inmates can’t take their hands off her. The inmates are a close-knit group who go by the name of ‘The Beavers’. When they aren’t getting it on with each other, they’re having their own fun with the prison staff. Seems like it’s more of a holiday camp than a prison right? Wrong! You see, the girls have to live in squalid conditions and they’ve had enough! They do what all disgruntled prisoners usually do and sign a petition? Unfortunately for them, Warden Blowhard, played by...

It’s that time again ladies and gentlemen! We are entering the sordid world of Jess Franco. My previous reviews have always been for the DVD versions of Ascot Elite’s releases. This time however, I have access to a Blu-ray player (yeah, one of those fancy modern contraptions!) and I’m going to use it goddamnit! This release is a joint one between Ascot Elite and Austria’s Illusions Unltd. You see, due to the graphic content of the film, it’s forbidden to be advertised and sold on websites like Amazon within Germany. So, HD Franco with an extra hint of sleaze? It has to be good!

We find ourselves imprisoned in the shackles of some lovely Jess Franco smut. A collaboration between Franco and Erwin C. Dietrich. The film is Love Camp (not to be confused with the inferior Nazisploitation film) and we are slaves to its sleaziness. I don’t know what I’m talking about! Maybe it’s the revolution in the air? Maybe it’s the bare chested women? Who knows!

The film opens up on a sun kissed beach in Haiti. A group of locals are in the middle of a Voodoo ritual (pointed out in almost clumsy Mondo documentary like narration). Ashton Kutcher is preparing to take the witness stand in the case of his then-girlfriend's grisly death, and his testimony could help convict her alleged killer.
News: Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Welcome Baby Girl
Michael Thomas Gargiulo is currently in custody in Downtown Los Angeles, standing accused of murdering three women, including a young lady that Kutcher was seeing at the time, 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin.
On February 21, 2001, police say that Ellerin was stabbed 47 times while in the shower.
On that day, Kutcher tells police that he received a call from Ellerin asking if she should go with him to a Grammy viewing party. The That '70s Show actor, then 23, went by her Hollywood home later that day at 10:45 p.m.
"He was picking her up and he got to the house and knocked on the door and it was dark," Susan Zirinsky, senior executive producer of 48 Hours, told Et. "So he decides...

There are women in prison movies and then there’s Barbed Wire Dolls aka Frauengefangnis from Jess Franco. For most of the move you’re not entirely sure if there is a narrative going on save for the subtle relationship building activities of a group of imprisoned women who feel the need to walk around naked, pantless or, if clothed at all, still showing their entire body somehow. Most women in prison films seem to have common elements and Barbed Wire Dolls clearly shares those elements, but there is also a unique element to this particular entry. It is rather gorgeous. It’s pretty prison. Not necessarily clean, but it is filled with stunning beauties who are arranged in cells that are perfect for physical education.

Written and directed by Lucio Fulci, The New York Ripper (1982) is an Italian giallo movie, known for graphic violence and sex. It’s also a great example of a grindhouse flick. Ripper follows police Lieutenant Fred Williams (Jack Hedley) and his search for a potential serial killer. While interviewing the nosy landlady of a victim whose hand was found by a dog, she tells Williams that the girl had arranged a meeting with a man who sounded like a duck. Meanwhile another girl is murdered on the Staten Island Ferry. The coroner tells Williams that the first girl and the one from the ferry match another murder….so Williams apparently does have a serial killer on his hands. Williams goes to Columbia University to meet with the brilliant psychotherapist Dr. Paul Davis (Paolo Malco) in an attempt to get a profile on the killer.
