Yuri Boyka has an impressive fight record in the Undisputed franchise, though it has a few low points. First introduced in Isaac Florentine's Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing, Scott Adkins's reformed villain Yuri Boyka competes in Mma matches in a Russian prison, believing himself gifted by God to be, as he puts it, The Most Complete Fighter in the World. Through Scott Adkins's portrayal of Boyka, he and Florentine made the Undisputed series highly popular among martial arts fans with their thoroughly incredible martial arts fight scenes.
While Boyka's pride has occasionally gotten the best of him, his skills as an Mma fighter are anything but overrated. The sheer number of victories Boyka has accumulated in the Undisputed franchise demonstrate his might in the ring, his indomitable will to overcome his opponents being as vital to his wins as Boyka's vast martial arts knowledge. With that said, Boyka...

A third fight in the Undisputed series between Yuri Boyka and George "Iceman" Chambers could be their most decisive. Yuri Boyka (Scott Adkins) and George "Iceman" Chambers (Michael Jai White) first cross paths in Undisputed 2: Last Standing. After Chambers is framed for drug possession while shooting a commercial in Russia, he is sent to prison and learns the whole event was a plot to set up a fight between the former world heavyweight boxing champion and Boyka.
Boyka and Chambers meet in the ring twice in Undisputed 2, with Boyka (then a villain) winning their first fight and Chambers triumphing in their rematch. While each is an enthralling martial arts fight, certain events also place the two fighters on uneven ground. A third fight between Boyka and Chambers in Undisputed 5 - which Scott Adkins has said a script has been written for - could be far more important than simply another rematch between them,...

Yuri Boyka has faced many opponents in the ring throughout the Undisputed franchise. After the first movie debuted in 2002, Scott Adkins saved the fledgling Undisputed franchise with his performance as Yuri Boyka in Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing. The sequel also soft-rebooted the franchise from the boxing focus of the original Undisputed to mixed martial arts (Mma). Far from being merely a highly skilled fighter, Boyka believes his talent is divinely bestowed. In Undisputed 3: Redemption, the character states, "God has given me a gift, only one. I am The Most Complete Fighter in the World."
In carrying three out of four of the Undisputed movies, Scott Adkins's Boyka has had many Mma fights in the ring against opponents of varied backgrounds and with different strengths. His handful of minor fights outside the ring have all been against unnamed and quickly defeated henchmen, guards, or less-skilled foes, but his rivals...

From Russia with Schlock: Martinez’s Derivative Revenge Flick
While there’s certainly a modicum of perverse interest to be satisfied in witnessing the rotund Gerard Depardieu as an ex-con exacting vengeance on a gang of Russian hoods in the type of watered down B-action flick that’s about as originally conceived as the already derivative Liam Neeson franchise Taken (or Pierce Brosnan’s The November Man), Philip Martinez’s Viktor is neither of significant quality nor campy enough to justify its bizarre existence. Depardieu’s well-publicized tax inclined emigration from France to Russia may explain some of how this nonsense came into existence, but Martinez’s workmanlike march through a series of unenthusiastic events makes it seem as if everything was filmed in one, hurried take.

Philippe Martinez's Viktor — basically a tighter, Moscow-set, Gérard Depardieu–starring version of The Equalizer — opens with a ballet rehearsal led by choreographer Souliman (Eli Danker). This sets up an aura of refinement that runs throughout the film: Souliman is the right-hand man to protagonist Viktor (Depardieu, as of recently a Russian citizen), whose just-completed seven-year prison term was awarded for the relatively elegant charge of art-thievery. Moreover, the movie's underworld figures are less concerned with drugs than with peddling diamonds. But make no mistake: Once Viktor gets wind of his son's recent murder, his sense of culture doesn't mean he's against a surge of violence. A typical example: Before tearing chunk...
