From April 4 to May 23, 2001, Comedy Central ran eight episodes of a 30-minute sitcom called "That's My Bush!," a sendup of the then-active George W. Bush administration. The premise of the show was as broad as possible. George W. Bush (Timothy Bottoms) was in the White House, but his life was more akin to that of an old-fashioned, 1980s-era workplace sitcom than that of a sitting president. There was a noisy, obnoxious laugh track paired with bright, even TV lighting, making the show look deliberately old-fashioned and artificial. Kurt Fuller played the buttoned-down killjoy Karl Rove, while Carrie Quinn Dolin played Laura Bush.

Orlando Arocena designed the artwork for the 1988 horror film, which was scanned in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision Hdr.

Special effects legend Stan Winston made his directorial debut from a script by Mark Patrick Carducci and Gary Gerani.

2023 marked the 35th anniversary of the release of the 1988 film Pumpkinhead (watch it Here), which was the feature directorial debut of legendary special effects artist Stan Winston. Scream Factory celebrated the anniversary by giving the film a new 4K and Blu-ray release and now, soon after ’23 came to an end, Trick or Treat Studios is celebrating Pumpkinhead with an awesome 8″ scale figure! An image of the figure can be seen at the bottom of this article, and more can be found on the Trick or Treat Studios website, where the figure is available for pre-order. Pre-ordered figures are expected to start shipping out on February 29th. The figure goes for the price of $59.99.

A few years ago, Scream Factory gave the 1988 film Pumpkinhead (watch it Here) a special edition Blu-ray release, including a limited edition steelbook. Now they’re gearing up to bring Pumpkinhead to 4K on October 10th, and a standalone 4K and Blu-ray combo pack is available for pre-order from the Scream Factory website. If you want to go a bit fancier, there’s also a collector’s edition with a poster, prism sticker, lobby cards, and enamel pins that can be purchased through the Scream Factory website. Exclusive: Cinedigm has acquired North American rights to the addiction drama Breathing Happy. The film will stream exclusively on the Company’s platform Fandor from December 13.

Written, directed, and starring Shane Brady, Breathing Happy is billed as a wildly surreal yet emotionally grounded update on It’s a Wonderful Life, and centers around recovering addict Dylan (Brady) as he prepares to celebrate one year of sobriety alone on Christmas Day. The synopsis reads: Before the clock can strike midnight, his past demons tempt him to fail in the form of a talking golden door, his ex-drug dealer, and magic tricks. Will Dylan experience relapse… or rebirth?

The film debuted at the 2022 Chattanooga Film Festival and picked up honors at the Popcorn Frights film festival, including the New Nightmare Award and the award for Best Feature for a First Time Filmmaker.

Written and directed by Shane Brady (HBO: Ballers), the film follows Dylan, a recovering drug addict on the eve of his one year sober-anniversary, which happens to be Christmas Eve. He spends the holiday alone having lost friends and family to his addictions and his inability to take responsibility for his actions. But just as he’s about to reach his goal of one full year being sober, his past demons show up, tempting him to fail.
