Born in Guayama, his mother was a seamstress and his father was a band
leader and Spanish teacher. After his parents divorced, he moved to San
Juan where he began to dabble in musical pursuits. World-known for his
beautiful ballads, Tite has written songs for some of the
Spanish-language world's best singers. From

'Hector LaVoe', Curet Alonso has written
classic after classic. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over
35 years
