Diane Delano, an actor with scores of film and TV credits including Northern Exposure, Popular and The Wicker Man, died December 13 of cancer at her home in Sherman Oaks, CA. She was 67.

The news was confirmed Monday by her friend Stepfanie Kramer.

Delano is best known for playing Barbara Semanski, the tough Alaska state trooper and sometimes love interest of Barry Corbin’s astronaut-turned-entrepreneur Maurice Minnefield on CBS’ Emmy-winning comedy Northern Exposure. She also played Roberta “Bobbi” Glass on Ryan Murphy’s WB Network series Popular, which aired from 1999-2001.

Other credits in her 40-plus-year career include the films The Wicker Man and the Coen brothers’ The Ladykillers, while TV credits include Mom, Mike & Molly, Everwood, Days of our Lives, Desperate Housewives, Six Feet Under, Monk, Cop Rock, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Teen Titans.

Better Call Saul's finale was unforgettable for many, expertly weaving together its predecessor and itself for a finale for the whole universe. A show that, for a lot of its run, was always compared to its predecessor, managed to have a show-stopping final season that almost everyone adored. Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide rights to Funny Thing About Love, a romantic comedy written and directed by Adam White. As part of the deal, Gravitas plans a theatrical release December 3 in 20-25 theaters including in New York and Los Angeles, day-and-date with a digital bow.

The plot centers on Samantha Banks (Summer Bellessa), who is on top of the world with a successful business and a handsome fiancé (Jason Gray). But over one crazy Thanksgiving holiday with her scheming family, her world is thrown into a tailspin when they invite her ex-boyfriend (Kevan Moezzi), “the one that got away.”

Jon Heder, Barry Corbin, Pat Finn and Brooke White also star in the pic. Adam Montierth and Donovan Montierth of Brothers Ink Productions are producers.

A sizzling neo-noir that should have boosted Dennis Hopper into feature bankability goes a tad slack — my guess is that Hopper’s fine directing instincts got blurred in the editing process. Don Johnson, Virginia Madsen, Jennifer Connelly and others are well cast in Charles Williams’ hardboiled sex ‘n’ crime yarn, and the temperature indeed rises when Johnson gets near his co-stars. The narrative momentum breaks down somewhat, yet the great-looking show remains a favorite, atmospheric and oversexed.

Jordan Walker Ross is a series regular on the historical drama The Chosen. He plays Little James, one of the 12 Apostles in the New Testament. When Ross auditioned for the role, Dallas Jenkins the show’s director and creator could see that he was disabled, but he apparently didn’t notice the limp – not at first, anyway.

“I have severe scoliosis and minor cerebral palsy,” Ross told Deadline, reaching out after reading our coverage of a SAG-AFTRA panel on disabled performers. “Because of my conditions, I have a pretty noticeable limp, very limited flexibility in my torso and legs and am much shorter than the average person [5’4”]. Needless to say, my physical differences have negatively impacted my opportunities as an actor. I have been told by casting directors to ‘lose the limp,’ and was even cut out of projects because my limp was too noticeable.”

After he loses both of his parents, 11-year-old Tim Hart is forced to go live with his immensely immature Uncle Max, a second rate magician. As the two learn to cope and start a new family together, they both figure out how they can help each other grow up. This looks like a second-rate film made with a bunch of friends, but it might still be amusing and enjoyable. The cast also includes Jud Tylor, Lotuss Blossom, and Barry Corbin. The stars of Northern Exposure — Rob Morrow, Janine Turner, Barry Corbin, Cynthia Geary and John Corbett — reunited to kick off this week’s Vulture Festival. During the panel Monday, the cast members reminisced about their time starring in the CBS series, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, though there was no mention of a revival series that was originally announced in 2018.

“Your chance of having a hit television is probably as good as your chance of going to space and circling Earth,” Corbin said about Northern Exposure’s success. “The casting fit, the location fit, the music fit. Everything fit.”

Corbin, who starred as astronaut and retired Marine fighter pilot Maurice J. Minnifield, agreed with his fellow cast mates that all the elements behind Northern Exposure made for a high-performing series that stood out from other shows at the time.

In a People exclusive clip from the upcoming film Trading Paint, the 65-year-old actor stars as Sam Munroe, a veteran race car driver, who romances Twain’s Becca as they discuss his passion for racing.

The ’90s dramedy followed Dr. Joel Fleischman (Rob Morrow), a New York City physician who is sent to the small town of Cicely, Alaska. The cast also includes Barry Corbin, Janine Turner, John Cullum, Cynthia Geary, and John Corbett. The show originally ran on CBS for six seasons between 1990 and 1995.
