- She had fallen down a flight of stairs, as a result of which she suffered serious head injuries and was intubated. She fought to stay alive, but at noon on Friday (06.10.2023) she breathed her last.
- Between her social and dramatic films, she appeared in three musicals by Yiannis Dalianidis, produced by Finos Film, in which she will make a splash: Oi thalassies oi handres , A lady in bouzoukis and Mermaids and dudes . Especially in A lady in the bouzoukis she captivated the audience with her irresistible style and temperament both acting and performing two of the legendary hits of Greek cinema songs, "I am a woman of revelry" and "Tou agorios opampos".
- Her health had been seriously shaken two more times, with Mary Chronopoulou struggling like a lad. It was in 1999 when a serious car accident confined her to a wheelchair. The second "blow" came in 2009, when a candle caught her dress on fire, causing serious burns to the great movie star.
- In her theatrical career, she collaborated with all the major troupes of Athens and performed with the same interpretative ability in all types of theater.
- Mary Chronopoulou was honored with the Overall Offer Award at the IRIS Awards Ceremony by the Hellenic Film Academy. The president of the Union of Greek Actors, Spyros Bimbilas, together with the president of the Academy, Giorgos Tsemperopoulos, presented the award to the actress who, with her "romantic presence, stamped a series of cinematographic genres", as he specifically stated.
