Tige Charity found herself unemployed from an insurance department job during the late-2000s recession. Looking to find a new sense of purpose, she began thinking about a visit she’d once made to a girls group home with her husband, actor Antonio D. Charity (The Orville), and how the home’s director had told her about the rewards of mentorship. In 2009, Tige decided to create Kids in the Spotlight (Kits), a nonprofit that helps empower foster youth through filmmaking. Kits program participants write, direct, shoot, cast and act in projects alongside mentors from the film world. “You give them the arts, create a platform for them to be seen, heard, validated and celebrated,” says Tige.

The holidays may be over a month away, but that didn't stop Netflix from kicking off its holiday lineup on November 10th with the release of Falling for Christmas. The movie centers on a newly engaged heiress who suffers from amnesia after getting into a terrible skiing accident. Unsure of who she is, she winds up in the care of the local lodge owner, who happens to be a single father.

The movie is led by Lindsay Lohan, who is making her long-awaited return to film. However, Lohan isn't the only familiar face audiences will recognize when they tune in to Netflix on November 10th. Falling for Christmas is a mix of familiar faces fans will instantly recognize and a few that will have fans wondering, "where have I seen them before."

It's that time of year again. It's November, which means we're getting all the heartwarming Christmas movies we can shove into a stocking. As promised this time last year, Lindsay Lohan has returned to acting in "Falling for Christmas." The new rom-com decked in pine boughs and twinkly lights is on the way to Netflix, though you could be forgiven for thinking it was from Hallmark Channel or Lifetime. 

In the film, Lohan plays a hotel heiress who dresses up like Nordic Barbie and treats people like dirt. Then she gets into a skiing accident and loses her memory. This looks like a Hallmark channel holiday movie, with a few extra wacky jokes thrown in (that racoon bit at the end what?!?!). A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress falls into a freak skiing accident, and awakens with total amnesia. She finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. This features a script that almost feels like was specifically written for Lindsay Lohan, playing up the "you have to forgot about someone fancy and famous to rediscover them" angle quite a damn bit. Now, the star is embracing Christmas as she's set to headline Falling For Christmas, a new Netflix movie that is set to premiere on November 10.

"A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas," the logline reads.

Sounds fun, right?
